"Apologize? Melville? Never." Mayu laughed, watching Salem take the manga yaoi. "It's called yaoi, if your wondering. The guy on guy action in manga; the backwards comic books.." she explained, flipping through a lesser rate manga. If anything, Salem was a shoplifter. He stole pretty much anything that caught his eyes, which tended to be a lot.

"Yaoi...?"
Salem paused, imagining somebody yelling that during...
"Well, it fits." Salem mused, striding back out of the small stall again, already restless and wanting to move. Where next...
"Damn, it's cold out today."

"There is a Cafe` not far from here, if you'd want to get warm in there?" Mayu offered, not meaning anything more then that. She could tell Salem was bored, it was easy to do around her. Nothing she did was very fun unless she was drunk or drinking.

"A cafe? Like, coffee and hoity toity pastries?"
Salem laughed, shrugging. "Yeah, sure. Fine by me... but you're buying. I don't have any money on me!"

"I don't doubt it. Unless you would prefer the pub just down the bend? I have plenty of cash." Mayu lied flawlessly, knowing she only had a twenty in her purse and a hundred in her pocket. Then again, it wasn't really a lie. It's not like they were friends or anything, just two people in the same place at the same time.

"Yeah. The pub sounds pretty much ten times better."
He actually knew where the pub was: he just had never had the time to go to it. Salem gestured vaguely in the direction of the pub, noticing out of the corner of his eye a shopkeeper marching angrily in their direction.
"Ladies first? Quickly?"
