Zane smile walking through the wild garden, it was unpredictable, beautiful in it's own unique way. He loved the spontaneity of the garden. He was clad in much more casual clothes this time unlike last night. He wore a simple plaid shirt his hair was straightened it was topped off with some worn out jeans and converse. He smiled he looked pretty good. Zane sighed recalling the boy he'd met last night. Matt. He must have fallen head over heels for him, a very un-Zane thing to do.
The boy pulled out a light pinkish red apple, a pink lady apple, and bit into its sweet contents savoring the flavor. He loved pink lady apples. Somehow he had found a small patch of grass to sit on surrounded by a multitude of strange plants. Zane lay back on the grass too watch the clouds. He was getting a bit cold; while most of the snow had dried it was still chilly and dry out here. "Damnit why did I forget a stupid jacket." On the bright side the plants shielded him from the winds.

Brendan made his way around the school, admiring things here and there. He decided to make his way to the garden, maybe see a few flowers and clear his head. He really should have dragged Braxton along. He had lain in his room all day, crying and crying. He wouldnt even tell Brendan what he was crying over. All he would mumble was 'Please go...' and then he would get caught into another fit of hysterics. He shook his head. He would bring him back a gallon of chocolate ice cream and a ton of soda. For now, he would just leave him alone.
He wandered through the garden, admiring how chaotic yet beautiful it seemed. He ran his hand through his hair, then pulled his phone out to check it. Another text from Diane. He quickly punched out a reply, then shoved it back into his pocket. He turned a corner and nearly stepped on a guy eating an apple.
"Woah! People in bushes! Cool!" He laughed, then realized how corny that sounded. He bit his lip akwardly. "Sorry, man."

Zane watched the wispy clouds float past him. He sighed contently hearing some noise however put it off as a squirrel. He closed his eyes listening to the sounds of the earth when he could sense someone, a foot poised about to step on him. "Ah!" He rolled out of the way however noticed the other boy had stopped before stepping on him.
His comment made him smile. Zane stood up taking a bite of the apple. "It's ok I shouldn't be sleeping in bushes." He said with a small smile. "I'm Zane." He offered an apple-free hand to shake.

Brendan laughed and took the boys hand in his, shaking it gently.
"The name's Brendan." He smiled sweetly at the boy. He seemed nice enough. Brendan wanted to sit down beside him and talk, just because he was someone to talk to. Sometimes, thats all Brendan wanted. Someone to talk to. But him being a motormouth, it tended to drive people away, made them want to be as far away from him as humanly possible. He pulled his hand back, pondering why the guys hand was so soft...
"Uhm, well I guess Ill be on my way. It was nice to have stumbled across you, Zane." He said with a smile, then turned on his heel to leave.

Zane smile at the introduction maybe a new friend. There was a strange silence before the boy began leaving. He bit his nail gently wondering if he should stop him maybe talk some more. "Uhm, well, you don't have to go." He said quietly. "I mean why not talk, er...if you're ok with that I really have nothing better to do. Guess I'm just desperate." He said rolling his own eyes at himself. "Or you can go you look like you'd be busy."

Brendan smiled and sat down beside the boy.
"Darling, I am never busy. Unless it comes to Braxton. Then Im really busy. But hes at home crying..." He mumbled, dragging out the second syllable in 'crying.' "I honestly do not know what happened to him.. He just went all... Sad on me. And it makes me feel really bad, it does."
He began to fumble with the lace on his combat boot. When Brendan was nervous, he fumbled with things. His hands, his shirt, his shoelace. It didnt matter, as long as it could be fumbled with.
"I think he needs a friend. He seems so lonely..."

Zane did what he did best, listen, "I'm sorry." He said quietly looking down taking another bite of the almost gone apple ready to pull out another. "I'm sure me or my brother could cheer him up." He said with a smile. Who knew maybe he'd get to meet this Braxton. Zane pulled out another apple biting into the fresh skin with a smile. "On second thought not my brother, he might scare him." He said laughing a bit.
"So Braxton, is he your younger brother?" He said quietly looking at the mess of foliage across from him the chill of January reaching his bones as he made a face. He liked the cold, but not frostbite. Zane smiled looking over and Brendan.

Brendan nodded. He smiled mischeviously.
"I think he would like that. And yeah. Hes younger. By like.. 10 minutes." He laughed a bit and layed back onto the grass, looking up at the sky.
"That one looks like a bunny. And that one looks like a frog. And that one looks like a- uhm... nevermind." He said, blushing madly. Somethings were better left unsaid. He bent his knees and tucked his hands behind his head. He bit his lip, shivering a bit at the cold air.

Zane raised his eyebrows. "You guys are twins? Hm what a coincidence." He said with a smile falling back into the cold hard ground. "Ow." He muttered quietly hitting his head on the frozen ground. Zane peered up at the cloud, drifting pass with mild amusement as he pushed his hair back taking another bi of the rosy apple.
He watched the clouds that Brendan pointed out laughing at his fluster. Of course he didn't laugh at him in a mean way. "Sorry..." He said with a smile controlling the bit of laughter. "Ooo, that one looks like an apple." He said pointing into the gray blue sky.

Brendan nodded, knowing the guy couldnt hear a nod but still doing it. He turned his head to him, his hair falling to the side and spilled onto the ground. The guy was sweet. He could really see himself getting close to someone like him. Maybe not intimately but still. He looked back up at the sky, watching the clouds pass slowly. A ladybug landed on his nose, an odd creature for this time of year. He wrinkled his nose at it, but it refused to fly away.
"Well would you look at that..." He whispered, his eyes crossed to look at the creature.

"Hm?" Zane turned his head slowly to look at the bug landed on Bren's nose. He smiled letting out a small giggle. "Hey, good luck." He said turning back to the sky closing his eyes. "Looks like something good will happen to you today." He said stretching out and then rolling up into a sitting position looking around the bleak overgrown and cold garden. It was maybe the worst weather to be in.
The roses were wilted by now. He frowned but leaned back on his elbows. "Man I'm sleepy...doing nothing is awfully tiring." He said with a small smile.

Brendan smiled, looking over at the boy, the lady bug flying off to go land on someone elses nose, he supposed. "It is, isnt it?" He said with a smile, then stood, extending his hand to the boy. "Something good might happen. I doubt it, though. Me and Brax tend to have the worst luck ever. But at least Im still alive. Havent done something too stupid yet. It was nice meeting you, man. Maybe Ill see you around?" Brendan smiled, helping the boy to his feet. He turned on his heels, running off to his brothers dorm to try and comfort him. -The End?-

Zane grabbed Brendans hand as he watched him slowly run off into the snow drifting snow. "Bye..." He said softly waving at him. Well, now what? Was he to just wait here? "I guess so." He said to himself quietly. Stepping out of the small garden cove he looked across the white horizon. It was barren; no one would be out in this freezing weather. A fresh layer of snow was forming on the gray brown ground.
"Yay, more snow." He said sarcastically pushing his hair back and tightening a scarf around his neck. Zane was stupid to come out in this weather, stupid indeed. Regardless he walked along the trail noticing one or two birds that failed to leave this winter, or was left behind, either way it was a sad sight.
He looked up to see a lone girl sitting bundled up on a bench with her laptop. Slowly, Zane made his way up to her taking his time. When he reached her he leant over a bit. "A little cold to be out writing email ne?" He said to her quietly. "I mean it's frigid out here."
