Personality: If you asked Diane what her personality was like, she would probably just shrug, and say, “Nice? Excitable, sometimes? I dunno,” and turn embarrassed. She was shy, but ashamed of it and tried to cover this whenever she was introduced to someone new, talking at the speed of light and trying to appear as confident as possible. In truth, she just wasn’t very certain what she was like; when with her friends she would try and relate every one of their problems to a past experience, trying to find out who she was. Her identity was her obsession, and everything she did was to try and prove to the world who she was.
History: Diane always knew that she was destined to be in FMS; her mother had been introduced into the magical world, and her mother before that. Her father had no idea, and still found it strange that she had to go to a strange boarding school. The world of magic was kept secret to him, and he had just assumed that Diane and her mother simply talked of ‘women’s issues’.
Three years ago, Diane’s mother disappeared. They searched for her for many months before the police told them that the chances of recovered were close to none. Diane had her suspicions; money had been short and she had been hassled before by members of the magical world.
In the last few weeks, her father had spent a lot of time with a woman that had been Diane’s mother’s closest friend, and a former student of FMS. She new even before they told her that they had begun dating. She accepted this, but hated her son with a passion, Seth Melville. Now, school is a blessing to be slightly further from him, despite that he also attends FMS.
Appearance: Diane can be considered by some as very beautiful, and by others as simply strange looking. She has a very round face, but with sharp cheekbones, especially when she is laughing or smiling which is most of the time. She likes to wear light amounts of make-up, though she would probably wear more if she could wake up in the mornings. Her clothes are usually tight fitting, though rarely particularly revealing.
How did she/he get into FMS?: Mother was also taught
Other: When not in lessons, she’s most likely to be in the library. Long ago, her friends discovered that the library was the warmest and best place to spend breaks, and although most of her friends have grown and left FMS, she still likes to go there.
