Antosha smiled cruely and wrote down everything he knew on the subjects they would be covering, it was a lot and took up almost two pages of the notebook. He had even wrote in his smallest handwritting. He had noticed Ms Jackson looking at him as she spoke, looking up from his notes he responded with another smirk. It was going to be a good year, and Ms Jackson would be a big help, whether she knew it or not.
Brynn had sat beside him in the class, with a lime green pen. "Nice pen." he whispered, not loud enough to be heard by Ms Jackson of course.

Brynn listened intently to Ms. Jackson excited for the new semester. He was writing a few things down noticing all the glances she gave to Ant. He looked at his pen. “Thanks...do you want it?" He said offering the pen and pulling out an identical one. "I have two." He said smiling.
Brynn wrote a few more things out before absent-mindedly flipping through his book his mind somewhere else. Necromancy was interesting but the first lesson was always just a review.

Antosha shook his head and breifly skimmed Brynn's notes. "You haven't wrote much, why not?" he asked. Not that he didn't like a different color every now and then but for Necromancy he used a strict, black or red colored pen. It was like his own rule. He contiuned on his notes, adding a few things about how sometimes it was believed voodoo could be used for taking over someones body.

"Maybe because we're not all swots like you," Diane said, playfully jabbing Antosha in the ribs. In fact, she was just trying to defend her own measely notes, which were by far half the size of Brynn's. Was it her fault that she only took down the bare facts, storing the rest in her mind as she listened? Most of the information was on the hand out anyway.

Brynn looked at his notes. "I guess I'm not a big enthusiast like you." He said smiling. Brynn wrote a few more things down before beginning to doodle in the far right corner. Most of it was shapes and different designs. He looked up in wonder for a second. He had a question. He raised his hand waiting for Ms. Jackson to call on him.

She was just about to continue, when she saw one of the students near Antosha raising his hand. She only hoped that this student had not learnt from Antosha's bad attitude towards the careful and strictly ruled form of magic. "Yes?" she asked, looking up to him.

Antosha rolled his eyes and turned the page, starting his own drawing of Brynn. It was a simple sketch of the subject reading over a textbook. "Hey De? Whats a swot?' he asked, feeling stupid. Though he wasn't looking at her he would be able to tell if she was looking at him or not.

Brynn spoke up. "Just wondering but will we be covering anything about close to Divination, or is that contacting the dead?" He asked a but confused of the matter. He was listening to Diane and Ant talk while he asked the question. He picked at his pen waiting for an answer.

She whispered back to Antosha, though she didn't feel particularly comfortable doing it while the teacher was looking in their direction, and tried to make out that she was writing some intricate notes as she responding, "It's like a nerd, or a geek. Just a really swotty- sorry, a really book-smart one. A teachers pet." she said, drawing doodles on the side of her page. They were no where near the quality of Ant's sketches, but she still felt quite proud of them.

Grace smiled. She was always glad when any of her students took a special interest in the subject, particularly the tamer parts such as Divination. "Yes, we will be doing it briefly during the contact with the dead chapter, but if you want to go into more detail you'll probably have to ask your Psychic's teacher; I hear he's particularly adept in the theory of Divination." she concluded with a smile. "Anything else?"

Brynn nodded in satisfaction. In his own opinion the school should have had a divination department separate rather than teach them in three different classes. He sighed. Thinking off topic. He never tried to cause drama yet somehow had gotten so sucked into it without even knowing. He looked down scribbling at the edges of his page.
