Brynn had gotten a mental message from Ms. Jackson earlier by a few days about an upcoming necromancy lesson. He was sleeping now. Brynn yawned being jerked awake by an urgent message from Anto. His eyes shot open as he sat upward Luna waking up beside him giving a small mew. He scratched her head before jumping up and dressing. He fixed his hair grabbing his wand. A slim thin wand almost black.
Brynn headed for the lower parts of school. The upper modern parts however were eerily cold and empty. It got worse once the floors began turning into stone. It was dark again; darker and colder than the first time he had come down here. Something was different the air was thick with something evil.
Brynn followed the instruction Ms. Jackson gave him almost ending up lost regardless. Finally he recognized the large onyx doors in front of him, he could hear the conversation inside. Pushing open the door he slipped in the wand in his pocket. "Hey, what wrong?" He said walking up to the two both seeming distressed.

She looked up, unable to hide that she jumped a little at the appearance of another person. "Oh, it's you." she said finally, a faint smile spreading over her face, "It's good to see that you didn't get too lost this time," she attempted to joke, but found herself falling flat, looking down at the ground uncomfortably. She wanted to know what Antosha would tell him. Was Brynn strong enough in Necromancy to feel the lack of spirits?
She stepped forwards, leading them out of the room as she said slowly, "We will continue our lesson at the Garden. Here seems to lack what we need." she said, scanning the room quickly, just in case she was wrong.

"Brynn? You notice anything wrong?" Antosha asked suddenly, avoiding both his original question and Ms Jackson's thoughts. He had been wondering the same himself, if Brynn could notice the lack of spirits then he would be told. But exactly what did Antosha have to say? He followed Ms Jackson as she left the room, trying to lead Brynn out without touching him.

Brynn looked at their eager faces, Ms. Jackson wanting to leave and Anto's wanting an answer. Something different? He frowned realizing suddenly he wasn't afraid of the room like the first time he came but didn't exactly know why. "Uhm, no not really I mean it feels less tense but I can't put my finger on why." He said shrugging looking toward the door. "But the halls feel like the way this room did when I saw it." He said wanting to leave wondering what all this was about. "Uhm should we leave?" He said quietly.

She looked quickly from Antosha to Brynn, his words sinking in. "The halls...?" she repeated, slower this time. She suddenly stepped out of the room, looking out at the way that they had all come, breathing words slowly under her breath. She had no idea if Antosha or Brynn were watching, and she really didn't mind if they did. She held onto her pendulum, slowly bringing it out of her pocket and watching it swing around in a wide, comfortable circle.
Slowly, she took more steps forward, half way down the corridor the pendulum suddenly stopped, changing to a small forwards and backwards motion, growing and growing. "Antosha, Brynn, bring the chalk, we won't be needing to go to the garden after all." she said, smiling as she felt the familiar tug of the afterlife on her skin.

Antosha smiled, grabbing the chalk off of the second shelf. "Come on Brynn!" he said excited, handing Ms Jackson the chalk. Who wouldn't want to work with spirits? Finally, that familiar tugging sensation entered him. The screaming began, this time however, it was only in his mind. He wondered if Ms Jackson could feel the pain like he could, or if she just blocked it.

Brynn smiled at the sudden upturn of attitude. He walked outside into the cold, dark hall. He shivered. "Ugh it feels so weird out here." He said moving a hand thoruigh the air expecting to cath or feel what was in it. He frowned. "So what are we doing anyways?" He asked with curiosity. He felt a sharp pain in his head and a muffled noise or was it a scream. "Ow." Maybe it was in his head.

She took the chalk quickly, drawing a very vague circle, putting a slightly smaller pentagram in the middle, explaining quickly as she drew; "We are casting a spell to protect you." she said, looking at them both. She could tell already that they would both need it, especially if they were to continue with the lessons. "We are casting a spell to bind a spirit to your souls; they will be your spirit guide, your protection, and you will be their taste of life. It's perfectly harmless, and completely necessary." she said, finishing up the circle and wiping her hands free of the dust and chalk, sitting down and motioning to the two places at the other ends of the circle.
"We must talk to the spirits, ask for their assistance. When the spell starts, they will be able to talk back. They will try to negotiate - don't let them. Offer them only a chance to be your guide, and nothing more." she told them, a small smile on her face. This was one of her favourite parts of Necromancy.

Brynn watched Ms. Jackson draw the circle looking over at Anto every so often. He smiled a bit excited to get his own spirit guide. He hoped they would be nice. "Hm..." He didn't have much to say. At the same time he felt excitement he was scared as well at what kind of tricks the spirits would pull. He took a seat where she indicated. "So how does this work?" He asked quietly.

Antosha joined Brynn, anticipation buzzed through him. Finally, he would get a spirit guide, though how he would get one he was unsure. The place was still lingering at the edges of the circle, as if waiting for what was to come. He winced as the screaming increased, their voice meshed to form one single scream. It was so high-pitched he thought he was dieing, then before long, it was over. Antosha shook his head and focused on Ms Jackson again.

She clasped her hands together, listening calmly to the sounds of the room, the occasional shuffle or breathing of the boys. Everything else was quiet, muffled by her own spirit guide.
She lowered her head, muttering words in some ancient, forgotten language under her breath, concerntrating on only those words. The pentagram began to glow, a cool red at first, turning brighter and sinking into a blue, until it was a pure white beam. Suddenly, she could hear the screaming, as if it was real. She could hear everything the spirits said, catch flickers of... something out of the corner of her eyes. She could not see the spirits, but she knew where they were in the room, and exactly what they were saying.
"Talk to them. Make your offer; A chance to be a spirit guide. Offer nothing else. Accept nothing until I approve." she said, squinting at the screams. "Quiet!" she suddenly snapped, looking up and away from Antosha and Brynn. The screaming stopped, almost instantly, turning into a tremor of whispers.

Brynn began hearing the voices and peeked one of his closed eyes open to see their ghostly figures. He could see it clearly yet it was fuzzy at the same time. He looked around in disbelief it was horrifying and amazing all at once. "Uhm..." He began in a shaky voice. He didn't know how to approach this. "I can give you a taste of life, but you must agree to be my spirit guide, is anyone willing to take up my, uhm offer?" At once he could hear the voices picking up once more into screams. He couldn't decipher the words. He shut up not hearing anything aside from the screams. "Ant, you go." He said in a fearful voice not wanting to hear them anymore.

Antosha focused on the voices, not daring to show fear to them. "I offer you a taste of life, but only if you will agree to be my spirit guide. Would anyone like to take up my offer?" his voice was crystal clear, no sign of the inner fear. Nearby he heard Brynn and his shaky request, he stumbled a lot.

Grace listened closely, feeling the wave of the spirits wash over her. As Antosha had the power to feel the thoughts and emotions of his friends, over the years Ms Jackson had developed a similar connection to the dead. "They feel that they can possess you and take what they desire." she said, giving the air a stern look. "They do not realise that if they lay a finger on you, or any of my students, they will be exorcised faster than you can say that word." she told them.
She smiled. They were all speaking quickly now, demanding this and that, begging the two boys to let them join them. "I think they are all suitable, as long as you offer only the job position." she said. "You can choose. Whoever you hear the clearest, whoever appeals to you most, choose."

Brynn took in a breath blocking out the noises speaking with much more clarity. "I offer once more a small taste of how amazing life is, only to those who wish to take the job of my spirit guide." It came out smoothly yet assertive. He could begin hearing voices. Two in particular. A girl, about the age of 16 walked forward. Than a man showed. He was tall, dark, young, and undeniably good-looking. Was it possible to fall for a spirit? Their voices were among the strongest. The girl stepped forward. She looked Japanese offering to take up the position; the man however wanted more he tried to convince Brynn otherwise. Brynn shook his head focusing on the girl. "You are willing to be nothing else but my spirit guide?" He couldn't hear her voice well among the other but could see her nod with an excitement. He looked to Ms. Jackson for approval.
