There was no reason to go the forbidden part of the school. Possibly some people may go for the hopes of some hidden knowledge or rare treasure that was covered in dust and left for years. The lower building's unused rooms were like the setting of a Indiana Jones film to some of the students.
Not to Melville. To Melville, they were a boundary of how far he could go before they would inflict real punishment. He was always striving for new ways to worsen himself, find new bragging rights and more than anything, proving to himself that he would do anything.
He stepped forwards. Yes, he had been here before, and yes, he knew the abandoned area like the back of his hand. There was little to prove to himself anymore; he had already been caught twice, but the threats of 'If you try anything like this again' excited him.
He looked around, careful that no one noticed him stepping out of the files of people, stepping towards the dusty corridors...

Melville was up to no good, as he was always told to be. But this time he had gone to far, overstepped his place. The library was not a place to be trifled with, nor were the forbidden secrets in the Out Of Bounds area. Mayu grimaced, a look not usually seen on her face. Her foots steps were light, barely audible over the noises of people passing by. She followed Melville easily, knowing she couldn't be seen. Earlier that day she had drunk an invisibility potion, experimental of course, but it had worked wonders. The only side effects were flickering of one's image, she smiled. The antidote was strapped to her belt, a light green liquid. Today was the day she would catch Melville in the act, or she would join him and Salem in their stupidity. She hadn't decided yet. Mayu watched over the boy, waiting for him to enter the labyrinth.

He walked down the corridor, looking around himself. He was by no means graceful; his body was big and heavy, and by no means agile, and so he could do little to cover the sounds of his footsteps. Despite that, by a sheer miracle, he could hear that he was not alone. Maybe he sensed it rather than seeing it, but somehow he knew that Mayu was there.
He was cautious, but the prospect of being followed didn't frighten him. He carried on, just as he would have before, finally stepping onto crack between the polished wood to the dusty corridor. Now he was breaking the rules. Barely hesitating, he carried on, wondering where he would go today.

Mayu sighed, quickly drinking the potion, by the way he acted he had already sensed her. "That was fast." she said sarcastically, easily keeping pace with him. While Melville was big and heavy, she was slim and light. In comparison to mythology, he would have been a giant and she an elf. Simple logic, the small you are the more agile you are. Elves were the most magical and agile of all the creatures, and probably the prettiest too. She shook her head with a laugh and continued to follow the big guy, smiling to his back.
Had there been more room in the tunnels she would have stood beside him, but hey, at least this way he would be a shield. "What's your big plan mister Melville?" she asked with a raised eyebrow. If one was going to break into a place, they should at east have a master plan, or some kind of guideline.

He looked around himself for the origin of the voice, though he didn't falter in his persistant walking forwards. He frowned; she wasn't exactly what he'd been hoping for. He didn't recognise the voice but it sounded young in his ears - far younger than she actually was. Turning around he finally saw her, and recognised her instantly, rolling his eyes. "Mayu, isn't it?" he asked, not really caring what the answer was. Of course he knew exactly what her name was, he knew the names of almost every girl on campus, even if he rarely used real names.
He stopped finally, looking into the new fork in the corridors. Where was he going to go today? "My plan is to go alone." he said shortly, turning down a random path quickly.

Mayu rolled her own eyes and followed his instinctively. "You not going to be able to. I have to make sure you don't destroy everything, completely." she said, crossing her arms defensively. She could tell he wasn't looking for company, or in fact anything, but he was going to deal with her whether he liked it or not. The silver key glittered on her neck, almost winking at Melville. The key was to unlock any of the doors in the whole labyrinth, though he would probably just break down the door. She smiled, shaking her head, he probably hadn't realized the whole place was pretty much alive. It shifted around randomly, though certain paths would remain the same. Knowing Melville, he would probably get lost as soon as he saw a big breasted woman.

He groaned, slowing down his steps and putting his head in his hands, trying desperately to resist the urge to throw her out of the place. "Oh, I get it, just because I'm such a big thug I would just destroy everything I see, is that it?" he demanded, staring at her, not sure if he was agreeing with his own statement or becoming offended by it. "For the record, I had no intention of destroying anything." he said, folding his arms tightly. It was true, though now the idea was in his head he couldn't get it out.
The key hung before him, but he barely noticed. Melville wasn't particularly observant, particularly when there was a beautiful woman in the way.

Mayu bit her lip, hesitating, Melville wasn't like that so why had she would she say something like that? "I wasn't saying you were going to, well okay, I was. But, you are a bully at times so I had no idea if you would or not. Sorry for implying anything that would offend you." she said, cocking her head to one side. It was a habit she had picked up from someone, but she couldn't remember who. She studied Melville silently, moving her eyes slowly up and down the length of his body. He wasn't ugly, maybe a bit plain, but he was still kinda cute.. Not that she would date him, not that he would want to. To him woman were mere play things, nothing serious would happen in a relationship.

He couldn't deny that he was a little taken aback by the small girl. It was rare for someone to apologize to him, and even rarer for them to mean it. "Um... OK?" he said, not sure how to respond to the unfamiliar situation. She was a cute girl, and he couldn't help but notice her scanning him with her eyes. He wouldn't mind her looking at her, though it was a little daunting just how smaller she was. And then, this was Diane's friend - he would hate to break such a pretty heart just for the sake of an old rivalry. "So what are you doing here, anyway?" he asked, finding the silence daunting.

She smiled at him, having to look up in order to see his face. "Following you, of course." she said softly, knowing he was feeling awkward. If the silence wasn't enough to tell her that, she didn't know what was. It was a shame about his attitude towards girls, even more so that he and Diane were in a rivalry with each other. Well, that's what Anto thought anyway. If De and him weren't in such a rivalry, maybe should would be able to hang out with him and Salem more then she did. But she couldn't risk it too much, Diane might find out.

He couldn't help but feel the tug on one side of his face, turning into a half smile, afraid that she was making a joke out of him again. "Of course, who wouldn't?" he joked, his ego swiftly hiding his embarrassment. He may have been cruel and misogynistic, but at the end of the day a compliment was a compliment, especially when it came as a complete surprise. "No, seriously, why are you here? You'll get in trouble."

She shook her head, not wanting to laugh at him. "Since when do you care if others get in trouble?" she asked, dropping her arms from her chest. She hadn't realized they were still there, maybe she just felt much to exposed in her current outfit. Stupid washer, it hadn't finished cleaning the clothes so she had been stuck with her last resort outfit, what she would wear to pubs. No wonder she wanted to be invisible, a skin revealing outfit was so not what one would wear around school.

Melville could not help but notice her outfit, though he did try harder than usual to make his glances appear subtle. That was what chivalry meant to him. "Again, you go with stereotyping me," he said, spreading out his arms wide and looking at her in fake protest. "I just don't think a woman of your... caliber should spend her time in a horrible detention room." he said with a cheeky smile, "I can think of far better places for you to be."

Mayu smiled and lightly shook her head, then she looked back up at Melville, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Such as?" she asked with a small smile of her own. She couldn't help but notice his eyes glancing at her outfit, it was already had the disired effect. Now, if they were at a pub rather then a dusty old basement, she would really use it to her advantage. Stupid world! she thought, grimacing inside her head.

He smiled, seeing the look in his eye and taking it as a open doorway to the flirting world, "Well..." he started slowly, taking a step towards her, "There's... my room, my bed, now I think you'd like that one..." he said with his own cheeky grin as he lowered himself down so that he could look into her eyes.
