Kinetics class was running a bit late. And by late, I mean a day late. Kinetics class was cancelled yesterday because nobody could find the teacher. But he was supposedly here today, just not yet. Class had started a few minutes ago, and he hadn't shown up yet.
The kinetics class was anything but a lecture hall. It had tables of four, enough for forty-eight students, and each table was some kind of lab station or another, depending on the day. Today, they were surprisingly empty. He must not have anything big planned for today.

Diane sat, drumming her fingers against the cool bench, boredom sinking in quickly. If not for the fact that this was in fact a magic school, and any truancy would have been instantly seen, she may have even considered not having gone at all. In all frankness, she didn't see what the point of her being there was anyway; her arm was still in a cast and sling, so she would be completely unable to cast most of the spells which required both of her arms, and she didn't trust being in such a dangerous lesson at the best of times...
"He's not coming," she said to whoever was listening, knowing that it meant very little. They were still bound to staying in the room until the next lesson began. 'Just in case'.

Brynn yawned a bit tired from staying up so late reading some books. He walked in not noticing De. But after looking up to see if the teacher was here he hears her voice. "Oh hey De..." He said grabbing a seat next to her plopping his head in his hands. "I can't help but feel something is not right..." He said to her. "All my scrying was very foggy last night, maybe I wasn't focused." He offered absent-mindedly. Either that or somebody was tampering with his scrying. But he didn't mention that.
He looked around at the students a bit annoyed at the teachers absence. "I wonder where he is."

She smiled at Brynn, suddenly feeling very self-conscious around the boy. She felt like she'd betrayed him, though she would never admit it to his face. "Hey," she said, moving her things out of the way for him. As far as she was aware, they were still 'ok' until proven otherwise. She listened to him carefully, not quite sure how to react. Things had been acting very strangely recently, she suddenly remembered, wondering to herself if any of them were connected.
"What were you scrying for?" she asked out of curiousity. It was at least something to distract her from the boredom - she had no doubt that this teacher would never turn up, or at least not for a while.

Brynn sighed putting his head on the desk. At her question he seemed to retract into his shell. "Uhm...nothing really..." He said with a cough. "But I'm trying again tonight only with smoke, I'll probably be out in the forest to be safe." He said wishing to try the new scrying practice he found. "So does this teacher like never show up?" He said smiling.

She found herself blushing at the very reminder of the forest, trying desperately to just stop thinking of it just in case- a smile appeared on her face, turning into a small giggle, "You have no idea how much of a relief it is to be able to talk to someone who can't read my mind," she said smiling at him, "I find it hard enough to keep my mouth shut at the best of times. Like last night, when Antosha was asking..." she trailed off, suddenly realising she was saying. "You know, I suddenly don't remember. Huh." she told him, frowning. "Yeah, but like at the kitchen when I completely put my foot in it?" she asked.
Wow, she thought to herself. Somehow her brain was taking this as a welcome escape from any conversation altogether.
"I'll bet you a tenner he doesn't show up until at least half way through the lesson." she told him, smiling cheekily. Of course, she didn't tell him what currency this 'tenner' would be in, and even if they both stuck with their national currency then she's still earn more... if only about ten pence.

Standing outside the door, Selena heard people talking inside. Apparently this class was supposed to be yesterday, but there was some odd delay. The teacher still wasn't here, so hopefully he wouldn't even notice that there was a new student in the class. From what she'd heard, he was a little careless, so she had nothing to worry about... hopefully.
Selena walked in as quietly as she could with her head down, and she sat in the back row.

There was a knock at the classroom's door, and then a pause. After a few seconds, the door burst open, and Igor rolled in on a rotating stool. He pushed the stool along until he was at the front of the classroom and turned, smiling up a storm. The children in the front could see the gaps between his teeth if the looked. "Hello children!" He exclaimed, standing up. "Sorry I was late, I had to get something." He turned to look at his desk, moving mountains of papers until he found the ones he was looking for. He held one up to the light, turning it every which way.
"Okay...first up....looks like we have a new student?" He looked around at the class, shrugging after a while. "If there is, I can't tell." He mumbled, looking back at his papers. "Let's see." He shuffled through the rest of the papers. He started reading and completely forgot that he had a class to teach.

Diane jumped up as the teacher entered, utterly shocked at his arrival. Her first instinct was shock, and the next was disappointment, that even if he hadn't agreed to the wager, Diane had still lost. She watched him carefully, looking around the class to see everyone else's reactions to him, especially those who weren't used to his strange teaching style.
She leant over to Brynn, whispering to him, "I still win if he hasn't started teaching by half past..." under her breath, a smile on her face as she waited for Mr Krossof to finally begin.

Brynn jumped out of his chair at the burst of the teacher. Already he could tell maybe this wouldn't be his favorite class. He liked fun teachers...but downright crazy ones? On top of that he seemed unpredictable which was something Brynn hated. He sighed. "Naw I think he'll start soon." Brynn smiled. "I don't know if I like him yet." He said clicking his pen.

Although Selena was releived that the rumors were true that the teacher is a blockhead, and that there was no huge fuss over her being there, everyone else in the room seemed to be suprised. The teacher was going to show up evetually, right? She hoped that he would say something she understood. Being completely new at this magic thing, it was time to start being little more serious. Selena didn't want to look dumb, after all.

Igor cast a quick glance at the class. "I don't mind talking, but not during the middle of a lecture." He thought for a while, then slapped his forehead. "Right, that's what I should be doing." He put the papers back on his desk, planning on finishing them later. He nodded once, then turned to the class. "Right. Now, where were we last class?"

Mayu walked in, wondering how she had gotten here later then the teacher. "Hey Mr Krossof." she said calmly, smiling at the confused teacher. Worrying about this class was something she just couldn't do, just like she wouldn't expect him to be teaching much today. With a slight wave she slid into Brynn and De's table, pulling out her Kuromi notebook and matching pen. Nothing in this class would matter much, mostly they would just have to relearn it in the textbooks later.

It looked like a lecture was going to start, so she took out a notebook and pen. But then Selena wondered why there were so few students in the room, and why most of them seemed pretty laid back... this teacher couldn't possibly be that out of it, right? She waited, looking out the window for a minute.

Abigail rapped quietly on the door then entered the classroom, keeping her head down. She made her way across the room to the teacher.
"Uhm.. Im Abigail.." she mumbled, handing him her schedule and the note the office had given her for being enrolled late. She shifted akwardly from one foot to the other, hoping that no one was looking at her.
