"Slimy, filthy little faggot..." she said under her breath, walking as quickly as she could in her stupidly large heels across the lightly snowed gravel.
Crys was angry, and it was plain to see. If this was a cartoon, steam would be rising from her. Already her skin was a light red tone - only so pale because it was hard to see her real skin colour behind the mountains of make-up.
The reason why she was angry was obvious; her nose, which before had obviously been quite fake, had been broken only hours before. Any other girl would have praised the work that the doctors had done in repairing it - it was only noticable from the tiny pink plaster that lay on the bridge of her nose, put there more for attention than any real medical reason. But she had given no praise, knowing that the doctors were paid zealously for their work, and knowing that she had plans of revenge to attend to.
But first, she needed her inner circle.
Her popularity was falling fast, and if she didn't pick herself up soon she would become the laughing stock of the entire school. She needed a new inner circle to promote and convert to the ways of popularity. At this point, any one would do.

Ellie murmured something under her breath as she walked down the lightly-powdered path, eyes cast downward. Her step was almost inaudible; back home, working on thin ice wasn't rare. The family needed to be feeded, so they would go to whatever measures possible.
She clutched her scarf close to her face, the cold nipping at her heels. Her breath formed a white fog in the air as she slowly exhaled.
Suddenly, she collided with an unseen figure. She stumbled backwards with a yelp, then looked up at the woman's face. Her eyes grew wide. "I-I'm sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going..." she stammered quickly, words tumbling together as she spoke them.

Crys stepped backwards, using all her energy to keep graceful and not slip while in her giant heels. She glared down at the girl instinctively, her small eyes even smaller as she watched carefully; she had never seen the girl before, though she didn't recognise a lot of people who never gained the center of attention.
She leaned forwards, a smile starting to spread on her face, though it still almost appeared as a sneer. "Oh, it's quite alright," she said with her sickly sweetness. "I don't think I've seen you before..." she said softly, still examining Ellie like a pair of shoes she was contemplating buying.

Ellie shivered, but not from the cold. She tried to take an unnoticeable step back from the girl, but decided against it. She didn't want to make her angry again.
She whimpered and shank back at her tone of voice. It reminded her of a chocolate she had once tasted at a fair. Sweet at first, but terribly bitter all the same.
She searched the woman's expression and feebly managed to speak. "N-No, I don't believe we've met before."

Crys smiled as widely and as brightly as she could manage, saying, "Super!" and shining all of her sparkling white teeth. After inspection she realised that she was probably a new student - and therefore would need being told who she was. "My name's Crystal Fedor, but around here I just get called Crys." she said, pronouncing her name like 'Chris'.
She brushed back a strand of her hair with her fingers kept straight and her long brightly coloured nails held out. "And hun, I know what you're thinking; Fedor, the school - is there a connection?" she gave a false little chuckle, attempting to sound modest as she told her, "My father pretty much owns the school - but don't let that get in the way of you liking me. I'm just a normal person," she said with a short shrug and a sigh, though her eyes glistened with the greed of a spoiled child.

Ellie nodded, trying to cover her almost terrified expression. Her nose wrinkled in distaste; was that perfume she smelled? Boy, was it heavy.
"It's ehm... nice to meet you, Crys. I'm Emilija Klause, but you can call me Ellie." she introduced herself with a weak smile.
She thought for a moment. Fedor? It sounded a bit familiar; maybe her parents had talked about it once. Normal person? For some reason, she highly doubted that. But she would never admit it; that would only make her time here miserable.

She smiled and scrunched up her nose. Everything was going to plan, "Oh, wow, you're so adorable! Mind if I call you Emilie?" she asked, but turned away quickly; it didn't matter what she answered, if Crys wanted something then she would have it.
"Oh, you have no idea how lucky you are that you came to me first," she said, looking around her in disgust at some of the other people that were walking past them. "You get some real freaks at this school," she told her, unashamedly.
Suddenly, she put her arms out before her and putting a hand on her shoulder, as if suddenly remembering something, "Oh, and if you need anything - literally, a ride, some muscle, even a cute guy, just ask me and I can help you!" she said. It was her way of showing that she really wanted this girl. She saw massive potential in her, not just as a protogue but as a friend, and she had never really known how to make friends without her money to guide her.

Ellie could only smile and laugh feebly. It was kinda hard to keep up with what she chattering on about. She heard the word "adorable" and figured she was talking about her. Too bad.
At her final statement, she frowned a bit. Ride, boys, muscle? None of them seemed very essential at the moment. She pursed her lips and crossed her arms. "No thank you, miss. I'm doing quite well at the moment, but your concern touches me." she replied simply before continuing on her way. If she knew the sort of person you didn't want to be friends with, Crys was one of them.

She frowned, before turning on her heels, running feebly after her. "Wait," she called, awlking in front of her tracks, planting her sharp heels deep in the snow, an almost desperate look in her eyes. For a moment, just a moment, she looked like a real and lonely girl. "If... if you don't want that then what do you want?" she asked, wondering how much money it would take for this girl to see things her way.

Ellie tapped her chin and glanced up at the sky as if in deep thought. "Hmm... you got me there. Nothing, really." she replied with raised eyebrows. Why was this girl so desperate to speak to her? By her appearance, attitude, and just about everything else, she looked like the type of person people would worship. But, she just looked... pathetic.

She couldn't help but pull herself back, looking at her in blank shock. "Nothing?" she repeated softly. Even with all the money in the world, and the ability to have anything she wanted, Crys always had craving desires for almost everything she saw. The idea of wanting nothing... Ellie might have well have said she wasn't human. "But... everyoine wants something... something for your family, for yourself?" 'everyone has a price' she thought silently. It was her one law, her one rule that worked over the world. If that wasn't real, she didn't know what to believe.

Ellie shook her head, scarf fluttering around slightly with her movement. "No thanks. I don't need your money to support me or my family." she replied simply before side-stepping and heading around Crys. She didn't look back; hopefully the woman wouldn't try and stop her again. It was rather annoying when she did that, skipping around in her ridiculously large heels.

She frowned, and stood and turned to her. She wasn't very good at taking hints - she understood exactly what the hints meant, but she chose to ignore them as she turned to the direction that Ellie was going. "Wow...." she said slowly, looking down through her eyelashes. All her life, money had meant everything to her. It had supplied her with all she needed, gave her happinessm and at the same time without her noticing it had placed her in a cage. "Could you-could you teach me how to be like that?" she asked, her voice shaking a little.
She was afraid rejection, afraid of finding a world which wasn't paved in gold, but she was excited at the same time. Excited to finally step out of her cocoon and enter the world that everyone else seemed to live and struggle through. She had always wondered what life was like on the other side, but they had all seemed so desperate when she shoved money in front of them that she thought they were all just waiting to enter her world. But now, she saw that it was possible to be happy in that other world.

Ellie stopped mid-step at the voice she heard. If she hadn't known it was Crys, she could have sworn it was someone else. Someone less wealthy, less spiteful.
She blinked once, pondering over the woman's words. Did she really want help? From a 13 year old? Somehow she didn't but it, but Crys seemed sincere for once.
Ellie turned around slowly to face her. She threw her scarf over her shoulder and sighed, breath white in the winter air. "Alright," she muttered, slightly fearing she had made a terrible mistake. "But you'll have to work hard. No time-outs, no backing out. It's time you learned."

She pouted a little, unintentionally. She had never done anything that required hard work and dedication before in her life. Was that the secret to it? Having to do all that hard work? Then she thought she may have misread it. No one could be happy while doing hard work, could they?
She shrugged and sighed, realising that she could at least try this. She was starting to realise just how bad her spending addiction was, and the hole in her chest was just getting bigger and bigger, no matter how she tried to fill it with her purchases. "Sure sure," she said, with a grin, knowing that she too would probably also regret her decision.
