Zeke tried not to collapse on Kit as his leg burned with pain he ignored it best he could. "I don't...I don't know if I can make that promise." He said quietly closing his eyes. "Not after what she did." He said looking up at Zeke.
"But I can promise one things, I won't confront her until I'm healed." He said knowing it would be stupid to confront the demon in the condition he was. "But I want to go with you, to the old headmasters house, maybe she can heal me quicker." He said to him quietly. "Please."

He looked at him, afraid that he might have said that, closing his eyes as Kit took Zeke's arm and put it over his shoulder, so that he could support his weight. It felt strange to be caring for someone else at a time like this, but it felt right. "Zeke...." he said, looking down, ashamed of what he was going to say. "You'll can come with me to see if she can help heal you, nothing else, is that clear?" he told him, though he knew the emotional support would help.
"Zeke, I can't risk losing you... If-" he bit on his lip, "I'm not the strongest guy in the world, yeah, but I'm not... what I mean to say is what are you planning on doing? You can't do it Zeke, none of us can. You... Did you see her? When you got the picture? Her body is... I just don't want her to be hurt, and I don't know how we can hurt that demon without hurting her," he told Zeke, "I made a promise to Brendan that I would try and save her. I was just trying to save her..."

"Yes sir." He said smiling weakly. Their touch made him feel better and stronger. He leaned in close. "You won't lose me...I promise." He said moving the arm around his neck around his waist as he moved his other arm around Kit the crutch dropping to the floor. Zeke supported his weight on the windowsill as he pulled Kit close. "I might know someone who can help." He said quietly to her. "In fact a few people." Zeke leaned in closely a dull pain in his ribs as he pressed his lips against Kit missing that feeling of light-headedness and butterflies.
"It's ok, what matters now is that you're not alone in this. We can all save her I know it." He said leaning in close again. "Kit...I don't want you to ever be near her unless I'm there with you, no matter what call me please...you don't know...how useless I feel, how stupid I feel for letting her do that to you." He said quietly looking down.

Kit held onto Zeke closely, making sure that his weight rested on him and the windowsill. He smiled, pressing his lips close to Zeke's and kissing him softly. He looked at Zeke, amazed that someone like him could like someone like himself. He sighed, "I really don't want you to be in any danger at all..." he spoke softly, holding onto him tightly feeling like he would fall apart in his arms, like everything else in his world. "You really don't have to worry about me at all. I... I'm not exactly going to go anywhere near her again. I-" he looked down, "I just wish it hadn't happened. I would... I would do anything to take it back, to stop myself from doing that. And-and I can see you wanting to go and try what I did and I-" he stopped himself, finding it too unbearable to think about. "Can't we just-just pretend it never happened?" he asked, his eyes begging him.

Zeke felt light kissing Kit wishing that he could do this more often, sadly though Kit probably still wanted all this a secret. He glanced up happy to see the blinds were closed the whole time. Zeke peered into his eyes seeing the despair of losing him. "I'll be fine..." Zeke put it off wondering just how strong this demon was. Zeke shook his head softly. "I couldn’t forget anything like that." He said softly. "Not done too someone so special to me I couldn't." Zeke closed his eyes. "And I won't give her the chance to do it again." He said opening his eyes.
"But it would be stupid to attack her in the state I'm in so..." He said trailing off. "Look, all I know is right now it's me and you, and I know that I'll protect you, so lets just enjoy this now and then worry about things when we go see the old headmaster." He said quietly. "Hm?" Zeke leaned in close again a small smile on his face.

Kit gave a weak smile, holding tightly onto Zeke and pulling him close. It felt strange to let someone be so close and to know that he wouldn't hurt him, and he tried hard to fight this fear, just concentrate on the boy in his arms. "Thank you, Zeke," he said, the single phrase thanking him for everything. For letting him talk, for holding him, for fighting for him, for offering consonance when no one else would.
He glanced up at the clock on the room; it was long past the time for visiting hours to usually be over, and also past the closing time of the old headteacher's new shop, and he had no idea where she could be contacted outside of it. He turned away from the clock, wanting to forget time existed, forget that there was a past, stop the future and pause the world for just a moment while he held his man.

Zeke was quiet as he himself noticed the clock. "Why don't you just stay here tonight?" He urged quietly. "There more than enough room on that bed." Zeke smiled. This was technically the first time sleeping in one bed so close. It was a bit exciting, he only hoped Kit would accept. "We can go to the shop tomorrow." Zeke looked at him. "And I'm sure Betty won't mind you staying here." He gave another small grin.
He pushed himself off the windowsill noticing his crutch on the ground; he beckoned it up as it shakily flew through the air to his hand. His magic was weak. "Ah..." He took a few steps toward his bed feeling as if all his bones were re-breaking. "Damn, I wish they'd jsut heal me magically." He muttered under his breath. He finally made his way to his bed sitting on the edge with a sigh of relief. Zeke smiled at Kit.

Kit smiled weakly, but knew instinctively that he couldn't take up the offer, even before he had found himself an excuse. "I just... I'd rather be at home tonight," he said, trying to help Zeke back over to the bed, avoiding the conversation. He wouldn't have minded staying a night with Zeke, even with the world able to see them both together, but he was still afraid of one day waking up at his side and forgetting everything that was magical about him. He would have needed a chance to be apart, and he hated single beds anyway.
"Look, why don't you just do the healing yourself?" he asked quickly, trying to get away from the disappointment he knew would come. "Look, do you want me to give it a try? I'm not exactly a pro, but I can always give it a shot," he suggested with a shrug. He was pretty sure one of the tools he had on him was made specifically for enhancing healing magic, if he could remember which one...

Zeke frowned. “Ok I understand.” He said smiling slightly. He looked around dragging himself into the bed laying down the pain subsiding a bit. “Uhm, to tell the truth I’m not all to good with healing much less mending bones.” He said quietly. “So long as you don’t kill me you can try.” He said smiling a bit laying back gently waiting for Kit to use his magic.

Kit smiled, sitting down beside him and looking through his pockets. He smiled nervously, knowing that Zeke had never seen the bizarre collection of magical enhancers. Anything which he could fit into his pockets was there, and he had usually had much more in his bag, though he had dropped it at the attack and forgotten to collect it again.
"Ok...." he said, pulling out a bright white crystal, which was supposedly good for healing. "Ok..." he repeated, nodding to himself, knowing that there was a lot of work to do. He was scared. He breathed a few words, and tapped his ankle. A warming golden glow came from the stone, matching the coldness of the stone.
It was exhausting to cast just the simple spell without knowing how to cast the spell. He knew he couldn't manage doing a second, but it had managed to heal the bone worth at least a few weeks of times healing.

Zeke lay there his eyes closed a bit nervous something bad would happen. An extreme feeling of freezing touched his ankle and spread quickly up his leg he began to shiver slightly however his leg had lost most of its pain. He felt he'd be fine without a cast. His eyes fluttered open. "T..thanks, I think I can get the cast off now." He said with a small smile.
It was quiet; he knew Kit had to leave. “I really don't want you to go." He mumbled quietly still shivering from the healing. "Can I have one more kiss before you do?" He asked giving Kit the puppy dog face.

Kit smiled, feeling nervousness washing over him as he pulled himself closer to Zeke, while staying sitting on the bed. He didn't want to leave either, but he knew that he would have to face the outside world sooner or later. He leaned forwards, pressing his lips against Zeke's one last time, a deep tender kiss. It was not passionate or lustful, but sweet and sincere, putting all of his emotions into it, all of his resistance to leave.
He pulled back, giving a soft smile and putting his hand on Zeke's. "I'll be here tomorrow. Earlier this time... hopefully," he said, attempting it to have been a light joke, but it just felt hollow now.

The kiss was dizzying as he could feel how much emotion was put into it. It amazed him that he was ever able to find someone like Kit. He couldn't imagine what it would have been like had Crys not put him in charge of Kit that night. The night seemed so long ago. As Kit moved away the broken contact was like a slap, quick and a bit painful. Zeke opened his eyes, as he knew Kit had to leave.
"Okay..." He said in a sullen voice. "I'll miss you till then." He said giving a small assuring smile reaching out to touch Kit's fingers before he left.
