Antosha laughed, smiling widely at Diane's joke. "Well, since I'm not a slaker like you I had three jobs. I worked weekends at the library as a librarian, nights at a local bar, and during weekdays I would sell things at a clothing store. Charlie stayed nearby most of the time.." he explained. "You got married? How cool." he laughed, shaking his head at the incredability at her life.

She shrugged, "We're going through a recession, that's my excuse," she said, biting her lip, "Plus my husband is completely loaded, and all of my children are brain surgeons now." she said, nodding to herself as she watched him.
"Oh," she said, suddenly jumping up, "Well, my dad has finally admitted that he's going out with Sharon, who's really nice but," she made a low sound of annoyance, "her kid is so annoying, and I'm going to have to be living with him now." she said, rolling her eyes.

Antosha looked symapthically at her, hugging her shoulders. "My poor baby.' he said. Dropping his should he reached into his backpack and pulled out a sketchpad. "That reminds me, there is something I wanted ot show you." he smiled. He opened the first page to show a detailed picture of Diane studying over a textbook. "I drew it last night.' he stated proudly.

She looked over curiously, suddenly amazed by the picture that was before her. Antosha had drawn her? This was how he saw her? She blushed slightly, realising that it wasn't at all as she had expected. She imagined her faults to scream from the page, but instead they were reassuringly hidden. She blushed a deep scarlett, "Wow, that's pretty amazing." she said, pulling her head into him, "I particularly like the shading on the pig's wings." she said, pointing at the text book.

Antosha smiled, ripping off the page and handing it to her. "Thank you, but it's for you." he kept msiling. Her reaction was surprising, most people wouldn't react when he drew them. They always expected the best and magical, but he drew each picture by hand and could spend hours staring at the subject before drawing them.
Unfortunatly, the picture underneath Diane's was slightly different. It was a picture of Brynn curled up on the Library's couch reading a book. Brynn seemed to be nodding off in the picture and the book was limp in his grasp. Antosha blushed and closed the sketchbook.

She smiled and accepted the paper cautiously, not sure what she should do with it. She knew that she would keep it close, but she wasn't sure what someone was meant to actually do with a present like that. "Thanks, Antosha." she said, putting it into her bag as she saw out of the corner of her eye the picture that lay underneath it. It was another masterpiece, or at least in Diane's eyes, and she recognised it instantly, "Aw, is that Brynn?" she asked. Although she barely knew Brynn, she felt that she should with the amount of friends she had who knew him.

Antosha blushed and nodded, pushing the sketchbook back into his bed. "Yes, that was Brynn." he whispered, more than a little embarrased. Not that he could admit it but he liked drawing Brynn. Especially when he was reading, it was just so cute the way he would stare at the pages of the book. Sometimes he even fell asleep, which is when Antosha had to wake him up.

Diane smiled like a child who had just learnt a new bad word. She didn't want to laugh or tease because above all she wanted honesty from her friend, and wanted him to know that she supported him as far as she could. "It was cute." she said, pretending to check her phone for new messages, "You like him?" she asked, keeping her eyes on her phone and clicking the down button as she highlighted each part of the menu round and round again.

Antosha jumped up from his seat and gave Diane a weird look. "W-what do you m-mean?" he asked, his heart beating faster. No one was suppose to know about that, it was secret. A secret that know one was suppose to know, which is why it was a secret. Maybe he should act more normal and stop drawing Brynn, that way know one would ever find out about his newest crush.

She blinked, quickly turning off her phone and looking to him, genuine shock on her face, "Oh my God, you really do like him?" she said, her smile twisting up at one side of her face. She had to look away, taking in the information. There was really no other emotion that she felt but surprise at that moment. "How did you not tell me that?" she asked, her eyes wide and ready to absorb every bit of information.

Antosha grimaced, an odd look for his face. "Brynn is just my friend, nothing more. Please De, he's nothing more." his eyes pleaded with her to believe him. If Brynn found out Antosha would never be allowed to see him again. "Please." he tried again, trying to avoid his sudden weakness. Antosha didn't feel good, his face lost all it's colour and tears leaked from his eyes. He closed them hard, trying to keep from crying.

She frowned, finding the sudden turns of emotion very strange, "Hey..." she said sympathetically, putting her hand on her arm, "Hey, don't be like that, I believe you." she said, although it was a blatant lie. Still, although she didn't understand what was going on she could tell that it wasn't worth digging up. "Shhh..." she said, and put her arms around him, nuzzling into his chest, "It's OK, we all know that being gay is just an excuse to get with the ladies," she joked, laughing nervously.

Antosha laughed loudly, glaring at the rude people who were staring at them. ALready people were leaving the lunch room, since classes were about to start up. "You know it De, hey don't we have to go to class or something?" he asked, wipping away the tears. He faked it, like always.

Diane rolled her eyes, but did not let go for another second, giving him a big squeeze before she finally let go, "Yuh huh. You're blatantly in it for the chicks." she said, nodding to herself. She looked at her watch, and then back to Antosha. "Oh, Sh-ugar." she corrected herself quickly. Even after all these years, she preferred not to swear. "Yeah, I've left my things in my main room place. I'll meet you in Necromancy, yeah?" she asked, standing up and picking her bag with one hand and pushing the chair back into place with another.

Antosha smiled, knowing they would meet again shortly. "Of course darling." he said, kissing her lightly on the cheek before hopping on his skateboard with his bag in one hand. He preferred to ride on it rather then walk. For one thing it made people look and it got him around faster. Pushing off the Caf` floor he rode outside, ignoring the angry lunch ladies.
