She frowned a little, looking into the necklace that was in the bin before pulling away, wondering who could have sent it. Only Melville knew about that name, and he would have never sent something like that. If it was Mayu... she wouldn't have guessed she would have done something like that if she'd had Melville telling her what it meant. She shook her head; it didn't matter who it was from. It was cruel.
"I'm taking all the classes," she said, sitting down onto her bed, facing Maria. "Necromancy's quite good, it makes a pleasant change from actually casting magic, and its pretty important," she said with a shrug.

Maria paused, thinking it over in her mind. "Well I suppose it makes sense, any suggestions about doing the magic? I'm going to have to use other students ot help with that, I suppose again, since the tecahers wouldn't even notice me. Aw heck! You won't even remember me after awhile, I think. I dunno actually.." she yawned, leaning against the bedpost while her things flew themselves into the correct drawers and hangers.

She frowned at her, looking away as she didn't want the girl to see how sympathetic she felt for her. Everything about her seemed too strange to realise, and what was odder was how easily she had accepted it all. Her eyes turned to her bedside cabinet, remembering the strong painkillers and anti-depressants she had received from the doctors after she had struck her head. She hadn't had any for a few days, but the thought stayed with her that it could be a hallucination. "So... if you don't mind me asking... what are you? I mean, what happened to you?" she asked, not sure which question would sound more rude.

She looked up and down, trying to remember that far back. It seemed like ages ago, many more days then a year for sure. "Let's see.. Oh! I'm human, don't worry. But a few years ago I was making this potion for invisibility, see? It just wasn't working so well, and when I drank it to play a prank on Matt it failed. I became like, half here and half there. I figured out that only nonmagical adults and anyone under twenty could see me. Also! On top of that coolness I figured out that magical barriers, like the one guarding the school, couldn't keep me out. Whiiich, is how I landed here." she clapped her hands together, startling Gwen awake.

Diane smiled, thinking of how typical it was. Diane was the sort of girl that liked having explanations and rules for everything that happened in the world, and just when she thought she knew the barriers and rules of the magical world Maria showed up and showed her they were all breakable. "Sounds simple enough." she said with a shrug, a daunting feeling coming into her head but she wasn't sure whether to say it or not. "So... when your brother turns older... does that mean he'll stop seeing you too?" she asked, her words soft and sympathetic.

Maria looked crushed, a look of utter defeat flickered across her face like an old movie screen, Then is was gone, replaced by her usual preppy self. "That's what it seems like, but we figure I can leave him notes and such so that me and him can talk. But that's all hosh, we don't even know if he'll remember me yet. Ya know? Maybe as I mature, the age of who sees me or not will differ. It all depends." she shrugged as if it didn't matter one way or another.

She shrugged, feeling bad for bringing it up, "Well, hopefully you'll have some sort of blood bond or something, right?" she said, hoping that that would raise her hopes, but knowing that it didn't sound all too realistic. None of this did, though. "So... you can touch things and stuff, right?" she decided to change the conversation quickly. "So, just make yourself at home. You can use the xbox, as long as you don't save over Dragon Age. Then I will kill you," she threatened with a sweet smile on her face.
"So... I guess the goth guy had just as much a heart attack as me when you saw him, huh?" she asked with a small smile, silently cursing herself for bringing it up but feeling like it was irresistibly horrific.
