Brendan spotted the brother he hadnt seen for years. His heart skipped a beat a bit as he realized how alike they were for having not seen each other or even have had any contact for nearly 8 years. He snuck up behing him, then realized that he was with a girl. Brax? With a girl? Not possible.
"Never thought Id see the day that little Braxxy had a girlfriend!" He said, putting his hands on his hips and eyeing his twin.

She grinned, feeling her face blushing slightly as she walked out of the shop. For a moment she'd almost believed it herself, even as she she found him pulling away and becoming much more relaxed as they leaved the shop, she was glad that it wasn't as cold as it had been before.
She turned to the sound of the voice, self-consciously taking a step away from Braxton as she nervously brushed her hair back, looking at the stranger, and then back to Braxton. "A friend of yours, I take it?" she said with a smile. "At least I know now you saying you were gay wasn't just a clever plot to pull me in..." she offered with a cheeky grin, turning back to the stranger and watching him cautiously.

Braxton looked at Brendan, all the color gone from his face. Of all places to meet his brother! He threw his arms around the boy, his splitting image.
"Brendan! My God! You-" He scanned him from head to toe, the shock of all this hitting him all at once. "You look... exactly like me!"
He held him at arms length, his eyes wide.
"Diane. This is Brendan." He said, pushing his twin towards the girl. It was simply amazing how they had had no contact whatsoever in close to 8 years and still they adopted the same look. Right down to the liprings. Only Brendan had spiderbites, two small piercings on the left side of his bottom lip.

A smirk played on Brendan's lips. Braxton seemed so surprised that they looked so similar. He just couldnt resist himself.
"We are twins, dumbass." he said, punching him in the shoulder. He was only playing, they had done it all the time when they were children. Only it involved rocks, rather than fists.
He eyed the girl. She was very pretty. Especially for being with Braxton.
"Lovely girl you have here, Braxxy. Id love to steal her away from you. Although I dont see her liking me very much. Youre much more charming than I, brother. After all, you are gay..." He said, waiting his punch in the shoulder.

She blushed a little, offering a playful salute in greeting the new person. "Pleasure to meet you," she said, her strong British accent bouncing off his American one. "Twins, huh?" she commented, looking between them as she shifted her weight onto one leg, cocking her head. "I can see that..." she said. Now it had been pointed out, it was almost impossible not to see. "Although he's cuter..." she teased, not looking at either one as she said the words and purposefully making them both think it was the other one that she was talking about.
She smiled at the compliments, feeling her cheeks turn a pale rose colour, but she felt herself strong enough to accept his words, even if she only considered them as a joke. "I might consider you equally charming, Brendon, if you didn't say that I belonged to Braxy."

Brendan smirked and linked his arm with Diane's as he looked down at her.
"Darling, you wont think that much longer." He said, wrinkling his nose playfully at her. He chuckled a bit as he heard Braxton whisper 'loud mouth' behind his back.
If there was one thing Brendan was, it was a motor mouth. Given the chance, he could literally talk your ear off. He would talk and talk for hours when he was a child until he realized that no one in the whole entire room was listening. But that didnt stop him from jumping in front of the television to get their attention so he could chatter on some more.

She put her hands in her pockets, taking a step forwards and looking up to him, refusing to let him lose the linked arms as she put her own arms by her sides, pinning his down lightly. "Wanna bet?" she said, her original accent coming through strongly as she looked up at him.
It was a strange difference between the two brothers, like an aura which couldn't be seen or heard but only felt occasionally. With Braxton, she had felt completely at home, cozy and warm like a warm fire on a cold night. With Brendon, however, she felt confident and free, even enough to be slightly flirtatious, like a wild wind on a freezing night filling her with energy and clarity.

Brendan glared down at her playfully. Something about this girl was odd. She seemed to click to him automatically. Most girls had to take their time to get to know him before they even considered flirting with him. But this girl was just all out there. And he kinda liked it.
"So whats the story? You have the power to turn a gay guy straight?" He teased, his hand rubbing the small of her back. He looked down at her, a smile playing on his lips. She seemed so gentle, so fragile...
And somehow, he couldnt help thinking that Braxton had thought this too. Maybe she was turning his brother straight. And something about that made Brendan furious...

Braxton looked at the girl and his brother, almost chest to chest. Anything straight seemed to disgust him. But seeing the girl turn to him so easily made him wonder: could this be the girl his brother was looking for? Something in his mind made him doubt that entirely. This girl seemed entirely too wild, too untameable for his brother. The way she mentioned him being gay as if she liked it made him wonder if she only chased the guys she knew she would never be able to have. The way she held onto him in the store, her relishing the moment as if he was the guy she was actually dating. He shook his head at the thought. Something about her seemed dangerous, and Braxton didnt want his brother getting hurt.

She smiled up at him, feeling a tingling down her spine as she felt Brendon's touch against her. She felt like a new person, acting completely different to what she was used to, though for once she felt like she was in the driving seat. "It has been done before..." she said with a shrug, looking up at him with a flirtatious glimmer in her eye. Even excluding Antosha, she spoke true words. Her first real boyfriend admitted he had used her to avoid coming out, and then found himself falling madly in love with her. It was a shame she had never felt the same way back.
She turned her head slightly to the side, looking around and seeing Braxton, finding a strange zone between the comfy and the energetic as she looked between them both. "Do you think he's getting jealous we're taking all the attention?" she asked Brendon about his twin with a cheeky smile.

Brendan looked over at his brother. The worry he saw in his eyes made him cringe. Something was terribly wrong.
"No... No I dont think it can.. Brax is diffrent.." He mumbled, his eyes never leaving his twins. He glanced back down at the girl in his arms. Is this what his brother was worried about? What had she done? He raised an eyebrow and scanned her face. Something told him she would never be interested in him. Unless he was homosexual, that was. He gritted his teeth and pulled away from her grasp. He held up one finger, indicating he would return shortly.
"Brax?" He said, grabbing him by the shoulders and shaking him a bit.

Braxton looked at him, an innocent look on his face. Something about this girl just wasnt right. And Braxton didnt like it at all.
"Bren.. I dont think she's into you... I think she falls for guys like me. And I dont wanna hurt you, but its the truth." He whispered, trying to keep his voice as low and quiet as possible.
"Bren, please believe me. She doesnt like you. Theres someone else she likes, somewhere. Cant you see it? Its practically killing her how she cant have him. Cant you see how its taking a toll on her? Bren, listen to me!"

She folded her arms, watching the two talking between each other helplessly. She was feeling all the goodness and the instant click with the two slowly ebbing away as she heard the word 'she' one too many times between them, turning away to try and give them privacy but unable to stop herself from hearing a few of the words and sentences.
She looked down, waiting for Brendon's reply. She assumed he would listen to his brother - after all, neither of them really knew who she was. She hadn't meant to lead either of them along, and was only after a sense of company and peace which she had lost after her friends had died. She wanted to say this out loud, but found the new confidence draining away quickly. Only when it was gone did she regret not being around Antosha's empathy.

Brendan looked down at his brother. He was genuinely worried.
"Braxy.. Look. Theres nothing wrong with being her friend. She wants more and she can ask for it. And truth be told, I doubt she will. Im not all that great. And neither are you." He added teasingly, then ducked his brothers punch.
"So you heard that, huh?" He asked, walking to her, and wrapping his arms around her waist, more in a hug than anything else. Realizing she may not want a hug, he pulled back quickly.

She shrugged, wanting a hug but respecting him as he pulled away. "I heard some...." she admitted with a little shrug, stepping between the two brothers and looking between the two of them. They were so different, and yet so similar in a lot of ways. It was hard to explain it, but she felt like they were almost tearing her apart inside, splitting her personality into its finer parts and refusing to acknowledge that any part of it could belong to both of them.
"I'm sorry if... if you thought that I was someone I'm not," she said with a small shrug, looking at both of them. It seemed that now was the time for truth. "I've lost a lot of important things to me. My step-brother and best friend died only a couple of weeks ago. The one I love refuses to love me back, which isn't too surprising...." she said, folding her arms. She had said all of these words to herself so many times that they seemed to lose all meaning, and she hoped she didn't come across as too cold. "All I need now are friends, people that I can hold on to. So, sorry if you expected more."
