Brynn yawned perusing the shelves of the small shop. Basic supplies really, wands, gems, candles, books, oils, herbs, and more. He bought a few tools for alchemy and minerals and ores. He wanted to start getting into the practice. He also purchased some books and another scrying tool, a glass bowl used for water scrying. Instead of take it with him, he teleported the large bowl to his room. He had some blue, lavender, and white candles as well. He bought some oils and various herbs and a pestle too, finally a large clear, glass orb. His newest and most exciting tool for scrying, he had been saving up for it for a long time now.
After paying and teleporting the big things to his room Brynn grabbed his bags walking out into the street toward a cafe. It held nonmagical drinks as well as magical. He walked in the smell of spices hitting his nose with force. Brynn pulled his phone out texting De "Hey, in Crastyl come talk for a bit?" He sent it as he ordered a chai tea sitting in a corner near the back looking out the window for De. They hadn't talked for a while and he'd been meaning to talk with her about Anto's sudden change in look and personality.

Diane was wandering around Crastyl. It seemed strange for her to not be with Brendan, but she was beginning to forget the wonders of being with herself. Even though she was close to loving Brendan, she couldn't deny that she loved her own personal space once in a while, becoming claustrophobic around the same people. For some people, being around them for an hour felt stifling, for most it was a few. With Brendan, it was a lot more than that, but it still came far too soon for her liking.
She looked down at her phone, seeing Brynn's text. She looked at the screen, instinctively wanting to text back 'Is Antosha there?', before she deleted the message without sending it. Brynn would never ask for Diane's company in Antosha's presence, since Antosha would probably stop him. Besides, she didn't want him to say 'yes' and have to refuse and let everyone see the cracks running through their relationship without having time to explain them. "Sure." she texted back, assuming he would be in the same coffee shop as last time.
She was pleasantly surprised to find him there, sitting near the back corner, as she smiled. It had been a while since they'd last spoken, and it felt good to know she could know him without Antosha being there. She slid in the chair next to him, her own Chai tea in her hand, smelling sweetly of cinnamon. "Hey stranger," she greeted him with a warming smile.

Brynn sipped the tea nonchalantly peering through his buys smelling various candles and such. He also bought a book on starting alchemy and intermediate alchemy. He'd come to get advanced later. He put some of the things away when he heard a voice.
He looked up to see Diane. "Hey there." He said with a smile as she sat down. He took a sip of the tea before looking at her. "Long time no see, so how are things? Good? I hear you have a boyfriend now." Brynn smiled at her. "But uhm there is a reason I wanted to talk with you too, it's more serious." He said looking sideways.

She smiled up at him as she put her bag under the table, holding her own drink in her hands as she soaked up its warmth and waited for it to become cool enough to drink. She smiled widely, feeling genuinely happy to just be around someone that she could simply consider as a 'friend' with no other ties.
Well... not many ties.
She smiled and nodded, pulling her hair behind her ear as she told him, "Yeah, good to have someone..." she said, seemingly wanting to say more, something along the lines of 'someone that doesn't take me for granted' or 'someone who loves me back', but she felt it best to keep her mouth shut. "So, yeah, what were you wanting to ask about?" she said, turning her tone more serious but still not wanting to completely drop the happy atmosphere.

Brynn smiled happy to know that Diane was happy. He might kill the mood but he needed to ask her. "Uhm, what happened to Anto?" He asked her looking for the answer in her face. "I mean he acts the same around me but the looks and all are changed, he seems different somehow too." Brynn said looking down.
"I was hoping maybe you would know because I'm honestly a bit worried, I was planning to scry to see what he's been up to lately. I know it sounds nosy but still." Brynn said looking sideways placing his drink down.

She felt the mood crashing down, as her body weight slipped and she rested her arms against the table, resting her head against them. "I am so angry with him right now..." she told him, afraid that if she said too much then Brynn would feel that he had to choose Antosha over her. She didn't want anyone to make any decisions like that - she'd suffered enough of that already.
She lifted her head up to him, shrugging, "I don't know whats wrong with him, but he's.... strange." she said, for the first time realising that the outburst possibly could have been more than just hurtful. "The other day, I wanted him to meet Brendan, and Brendan's hurt his foot so he's in crutches and he accidentally slipped. When I thought Antosha might be nice and help him up, he practically pinned him down, threatening him if he hurt me..." she said, shaking her head softly, "We haven't really been on speaking terms since." she said with a sigh.

Brynn looked at Diane in shock. "Anto did that?" He said quietly. Anto had been into a large amount of trouble lately, starting when he attacked Crys, the only reason he thought this was is because of well...Mayu's death. Brynn looked down with a frown sipping his tea though it tasted like nothing in his mouth.
"Wow..." He said quietly. "I can't imagine what else he's been doing." Brynn huffed out taking more of his drink looking at De. "I'll have to figure this out my curiosity is too great but I think I know why he's changed so much and so suddenly." Brynn muttered quietly.

Diane smiled grimly. If Brynn was disgusted by that, what would he think of the other side of Antosha, the one she saw every day? She sighed, "Listen, if you're serious about seeing this then I have to warn you you won't like what you're seeing at all. If you are serious then I can give you some dates and times and places to scry for, though I'd recommend looking yourself as well."
She sighed, knowing this was well overdue but still wanting to protect Brynn's innocence. "Brynn, make sure you're 100% sure when you do this. Me and you both know a completely different Antosha, and I'm not convinced you'd like my one."

Brynn nodded mentally writing down the times as he sipped the drink again. "I'm going to confront him." He said quietly, but I want you with me Diane so I'm not alone, please." He said quietly. "I don't want could happen." He looked down.
"But uhm here I'll give you the place and time I plan to do it." He wrote it down for her, "You don't need to show up if you don't want." He muttered quietly.

Diane shrugged, pulling herself into a tight ball, leaning over her drink self consciously, refusing to look at Brynn. "I'm not sure you'll want me there after you've finished scrying..." she said, quickly taking a drink so he couldn't see her expression, keeping her eyes down. "But I'll stay close, so you can let me know if you need me," she promised.

What did she mean? "De nothing could make me ever not want you as a friend." He said with a smile. He nodded quietly. "Thanks, I don't know what could happen." He said quietly. "But having you there would definitely make me stronger." He smiled again finishing off his tea.

Diane looked down at her drink, taking a big gulp even though it was burning her mouth. "You say that now," she said with a dark smile to herself, her tongue feeling strange in her mouth as it had slightly burnt. She smiled up at him sympathetically, knowing more than he did how much he needed the strength. "It's not an easy task, trust me." she said, rolling her eyes slightly. "But... if you need someone to talk to, before or after confronting Antosha about it... if you need anything clarified, just call me up, yeah? Trust me, I'm thinking of getting a degree in evil-Ant-psychology," she said with a shrug.

"I say that now and I'll say it after." He smiled ending the subject with that. It was quiet. There wasn't much left to say. But Diane's offer made him smile. "Thanks De." He said looking at the table. He laughed a bit the mood lightening up. "Good luck with that, the subject is definitely not easy." He said with a sigh. "Well nice talking to you De thanks again but I should go now." He said standing up giving her a smile. "Wish me luck." He said stepping away.

She smiled to him as warmly as she could manage, nodding to him as she said in a cheery voice, "Good luck, Brynn!" taking a sip of the drink as she watched him leave.
"You'll need it..." she whispered under her breath as he was gone, wondering if that was the last time he would ever consider her as a friend, feeling guilty for all she had done.
