Personality: She likes to think that she is a friendly, cheerful person, but in her heart knows that she can sometimes be brutally honest. She is selfless in most respects, willing to give almost anything for the comfort and happiness of her friends, but has recently realised the joys of taking life in your own hands. Some call her a pushover, as she is so shy, selfless and self-conscious that she puts most people’s opinions before her own. Slowly but surely, she is learning new life lessons to break out of these habits, and become a strong-minded individual.
History: GC has lived in England all of her life, mostly in her quiet hometown in the north. Her town is small, sweet and most of all boring, and so when she had a chance to go to University she leapt at the chance to escape.
In September ’08, she officially joined her university to study Pure Mathematics in a bustling city further south. Her dream was to become a lecturer, and to someday live in London.
Over time, her dream changed. She began to question her job title, and she became engaged to her boyfriend of two years. Her whole perspective of her future changed to match his, even when he didn’t know what to do.
In late 2009, she finally decided to change. University, living on her own, paying bills and having a strict budget had all let her grow up and see the world with a new set of eyes. She took what she wanted, stood up for herself and didn’t care who knew about it. She began to change the future back to the way that she wanted it... Now, she aims to become a Teacher in a city, probably in the very South of England.
Roleplaying History: GC began roleplaying at a young age, starting on neopets which was the only website she was permitted to go on at her age. Soon, she joined a group of friends called the Day Dream RPing Group, and worked closely with their varied roleplaying site. She quickly became a good help to the site, and became an admin. Whilst working on the site, she realised her tasks were so small that she could join another, known as University of Magic – a Harry Potter style school. While her loyalty was always to DD, she found UoM finally was able to completely overpower her workload, while DD found itself dying, as all good roleplaying sites eventually do...
UoM was her obsession for a long time; though she attempted other sites, some of which she attempted to make, UoM always took priority. It gave her the characters Grace Claudia – the cold hearted Arithmancy teacher which we see as FMS’s Headteacher, Diane McLain – GC’s personal character which she based most of her own characteristics into, and of course Seth Melville. In UoM, her main character was a girl called Hannah Jackson, a shy girl who quickly took the main stage of the site and gave her the position of co-admin. Melville was always intended to be Hannah’s step-brother, and most of Diane’s history on FMS was based loosely from Hannah’s.
Unfortunately, UoM finally faded away, and revival attempts did not work. After a couple of years of going roleplay free, she decided to create FMS.
Appearance: GC is comfortably slim, though no matter how much weight she tries to lose she always has a stomach. She has had brown hair all of herself except for recently, when she stupidly asked for blond highlights and came out of the hairdressers as a lot more blond then she would have wanted... Her hair is short at the back, reaching just under her chin at the front. She has always adored short hair, and someday wishes to cut it guy-short again.
She is never without her glasses, and though she only needs them for seeing things far away. She takes little pride in her appearance, chucking on whatever clothes are lying around in the morning, and never bothering with make-up or straighteners unless going out.
Did you know...?
- Diane and GC both have a massive fear of butterflies. GC is also afraid of fireworks, crowds, spiders and heights.
- GC has been writing the same novel for about five years now, and it still isn’t even nearly complete!
- GC is awesome. Like, literally AWESOME.
- GC has one sister, and divorced parents. She currently lives with two flatmates, that like to get very drunk :3
- GC is the boss. Honest, it’s true. She made this site one night.
- GC controls Diane McLain, (Seth) Melville and Grace Claudia-Jackson. Diane’s actions are usually determined by exactly how she would react to those situations, whereas Melville’s are usually the complete opposite.
- GC loves to draw, though she’s not very good at it!
