Lily-Mae narrowed her bright blue eyes and stuck her tongue out at Antosha, acting like a two year old. Mine, she thought. Aiden's voice in her ear sent shivers down her spine, all the way to her toes. She slowly turned around in his grasp, bringing herself as close as she was before she turned, if not closer. She leaned in and put her hands on his chest. "Check Mate," she said in her smooth bell like voice.

Then I would suggest you take him Antosha turned away, feeling like he was interrupting a private moment between the two. Well, at least they had a chance. He smiled at that, glad that someone had a chance. Even if it wasn't him. Did everyone have to find love but he and Diane?

Aiden's eyes widened slightly in surprise to Lily-Mae's reaction. He thought she would have squirmed and tried to run again. Her simple words of "check mate" filled his mind. It echoed over and over again. As children they had played chess plenty of times and she had always won. His chocolate brown eyes shifted to Antosha quickly and than back to Lily-Mae. Is she serious, Aiden asked Antosha through his mind. He didn't want to push her into anything. His right arm snaked behind her back, holding her there. His grip wasn't tight, it was more for support, allowing her freedom to walk away right now if she wished. His eyes bore into hers. Would she really be okay with this. With them being together? "You win," he replied with a smile, "and I'm not complaining."
