Zeke had healed tremendously in the past few weeks. But he felt weak at the same time. He hadn't talked with Kit for a few weeks now. The nurses suggested getting some fresh air and make sure he walked around to get his leg used to moving again. So he was walking through the park, a bit awkwardly as well. His ribs were barely sore but his leg was in a brace. He was finally able to get around without crutched.
Zeke yawned wondering where Kit had been. He was tempted to call or text kit a few times however each time he stopped reminding himself that Kit needed his time. But how much time? Zeke was getting nervous; that Kit would think this over realizing it wasn't him and then leaving Zeke. The thought scared him, or Kit dropping him. He not once had ever said that he more than like Kit, something that asserted the fact that he acknowledged they were a couple. It worried Zeke to a point. He stopped on the sidewalk unable to stop thinking about it.

Kit had been away a long time, and it was certainly clear that he had needed it. He had tried to call him several times, even going so far as to dial the number, but everytime he thought of what would happen. He would ask him the dreaded questions; 'How are you?' 'Are you OK?' 'Where have you been?'. Kit didn't feel strong enough to answer any of those, even now. He didn't even want to think of the answers.
He was walking back from Henton, having been to Grace's shop to look for more to add to his collection. Luckily, the quiet shopkeeper was in and he avoided Grace, who probably would have asked the questions he dreaded.
He looked up, on his way to the forest when his heart skipped a beat. Zeke, as if all the powers had aligned it, was standing right in his path. He looked down and around himself, blushing. There was no way he was getting out of this - not that he particularly wanted to avoid him. He missed him dearly, but he was still so afraid. He had merged his feelings to Zeke and the after-affects of the attack. He knew he needed to mend this, and probably should have done it long ago.
"H-hey." he stammered as he walked to his side, standing straight in front of him uncomfortably.

Zeke was still thinking about Kit slightly fantasizing those three words when suddenly his dreams became real as Kit stood in front of him looking nervous and a bit strange like something was wrong. Zeke looked at him and then around noticing a few people walking. "Uhm...Hey."
It was quiet...what should he do? "So...long time now see." Zeke said quietly taking a step forward ushering Kit to walk with him to wherever he planned to go, just a walk to catch up.

Kit nodded, looking around himself uncertainly as he followed Zeke obediently. His feet dragged against the pavement, and he found it hard to look at Zeke. "Yeah...." he said under his breath, looking away. There were so many things that he wanted to say and do, so many things he wanted to avoid. Unfortunately, most things seemed to come under both catagories.
"Zeke...." he breathed, looking at him as his eyes caught his. He had to look away quickly, afraid that he would get caught in them again. But he moved closer, his steps matching Zeke's as he stayed as close as he comfortably dared. Without looking, or seemingly paying any attention to it, his hand brushed against Zeke's, running his fingertips across his palm for a moment before taking his hand in his. Kit blushed, the only sign that he was actually aware what his hand was doing. But still, he couldn't say the words that he hoped the gesture would show.

It was strange. It was like talking with no words. Kit was trying to say so much with so little. They just walked together when he felt their hands softly interlock. He looked down and smiled softly looking sideways away from Kit and then back at Kit trying to catch his fleeting eyes, to hold them for just one second.
What surprised him was that people were around and Kit didn't seem to mid holding his hand. Maybe this was a step towards something more. "Kit..." He said softly with a smile. "There are people around." He said quietly looking at him with another smile. "Or should I just shut up and you tell me to just be happy that you even held my hand?" He said laughing softly wondering if he came off as rude. "Er...I guess I'm trying to say thank you." He said looking at him.

Kit smiled nervously, blushing slightly. With Zeke close, everything seemed so much better; he felt guilty for leaving him for so long, which would have usually torn him apart but now he didn't seem to mind. He looked away, sheepishly excusing, "I only had money to bribe Crys out of telling one secret, since she somehow learnt about..." he trailed off, "I decided this was the best choice." he said with a shrug.
Suddenly, he dropped Zeke's hand, but instantly put it on his other him, his other hand joining it as he drew him into a hug. "I missed you, Zeke...." He whispered as he leant his head against his chest, still walking haphazardly, so he released himself from the embrace - but left an arm wrapped around him. "I am... really sorry I didn't call. I tried to, honest," he excused feebly, feeling himself blushing. It was starting to hit him just how open he was being, and though he was proud of Zeke, he was still a little uncomfortable that people would instantly class him in that label 'gay'.

The hug was brief and soft but he enjoyed it wrapping his arm's around Kit. A few people glancing but paying no attention. "I missed you too, more than you know." Zeke said smiling. Kit had certainly not minded hugging or holding hands, what about a kiss? They kept walking. "It's ok Kit I did too, but you said you wanted space." He said quietly. "I just don't want you to rush anything mmkay?" He said softly with a smile.
He missed Kit's company so much, Zeke felt so much fuller with Kit around. They reached the forest as he stopped at the wall of foliage ahead.

Kit nodded, still feeling self-conscious but instead of looking around himself to see if people were watching, he refused to. Zeke was the only thing that mattered, he was trying to convince himself, and sometimes, when he looked into his eyes, he believed it. The moments didn't last long though. "Not rushing is good," he agreed with a sheepish smile, moving to holding his hand again as they reached the forest.
He looked up the giant trees, knowing what the forest meant. He knew that he was planning on going home, but try as he might he couldn't think of why. "Um... where to now?" he asked, squeezing his hand softly.

Zeke nodded with a smile. He wouldn't rush Kit but this was a good start. He looked up at the trees smelling rich pine and dirt. "Well who said we needed to go anywhere?" He said quietly. "We can still walk through the woods." He said with a smile. "Anyways it's beautiful in there and it's more private." Zeke said thoughtfully.
"Unless you'd rather head to the room." He said with a shrug. "Either way it's private." He said with a smile taking a step into the forest.

Kit looked into the forest for a few moments, looking like he was having a staring contest with it. He stood pinned to where he was, holding Zeke's hand and squeezing it tightly even after he had stepped away.
He finally looked away, looking to Zeke and offering a slim smile, stepping towards it. "I think I can manage that..." he said softly, stepping to his side. He squeezed his hand tightly, as he dared to step back into the forest which he had not been in since that day.

Zeke had realized that this is where he was hurt. Why was he so stupid? How could he have not remembered it was here? Zeke just nodded quietly stepping in after him. "Look...Kit, if you want to go..." He said trailing off knowing that Kit could answer the rest.
It felt strange, the cool air and the two of them their together holding hands. It was too quiet in these woods, like they were the last two people alive. They wandered until they reached a small clearing the was surrounded by trees trying to regain life after winter.

Kit smiled with a small blush, trying to only push thoughts of Zeke to the front of his mind. He knew he was overreacting, and shouldn't have been so brought down by one minor incodent, but he couldn't help himself. What may have been small and insignificant to anyone else was the only moment of true horror Kit had ever experienced, and he wasn't handling it well. Or at least he hadn't been handlng it well. He was determined to change this, however, but knew he would need help.
Zeke's hands felt comfortable in his own, and he somehow felt safe enough to pretend there was nothing bad that could come. "I'm fine, honest." he told him, "I don't want to be scared forever. I just want it to be normal." he said, desperate to desensitise himself from the place and associate it with good memories again. [/font]

Zeke nodded slightly and turned to Kit with a smile. "I can make it normal..." He said his hands lacing with Kit's softly. "I can fill this place with new, better memories." He said looking at him. "You'll come here and remember my kiss." Zeke mumbled softly leaning forward to press his lips against Kits. "I'll wash it all away."
Zeke's hand wrapped around Kit's waist gently as he pulled his lips away, "How many more of those before you forget?" He said playfully.

Kit smiled, his lips dancing across Zeke's softly. It was a strange sensation, and even stranger to know it was a man. The kiss was essentially the same, but it was still very strange to hold someone that was almost the same height as him. That was the most obvious oddity that he had put up with so far, and that alone was difficult to deal with. But he was managing, through sheer willpower, knowing that it would probably all end in tears but determined to enjoy the ride regardless.
"Thanks, Zeke," he said with a small blush, wrapping his arms around him and holding him closely, pressing his cheek against his. He wanted to ask for more kisses, but it was hard enough to admit that he enjoyed it. "You're far too patient," he teased, knowing how much of a burden he was.

The kiss was fleeting as most usually were. However the aftertaste made up for it. It was too quiet in these woods. Zeke smiled. "Your welcome..." He said an arm slithering around Kit's waist. "Anyways I have all the time in the world." He said quietly smiling. "For you at least..." Zeke grinned.
"But I have to say I was getting worried that maybe...maybe you'd have just thought over this and maybe...I don't know...thought it was a bad idea." Zeke admitted quietly. "I was a bit scared and I don't scare to easy."
