Personality: Seth Melville is not a very nice character. All of his life he has been a bully and a menace, surrounding himself with the strongest friends and bringing down anyone that stood in his path. In everything that he does he is competitive, which makes him particularly good at sports. In the intellectual side of learning, however, he takes personal pride in how little he does, scraping through almost every lesson with a small pass.
He is, and always will be, a spoilt child who enjoys taking down whomever he can lay his hands on. His only hope is to one day join his country’s army, even if it doesn’t allow him to use his magic. That, and to be able to be with as many women as possible; although he brags about the constant lines of women he has queuing up for him, he surprisingly does get a few looking his way, though because of his well-toned body and bad-ass attitude then for any form of love.

History: Melville, as he prefers to be called, has grown up with only his mother for almost his whole life. When he was only five, his father left them, and his mother began to tell him stories of how brutal and vindictive his father was, how he was a good for nothing drunk that would abuse her and destroy their lives. He grew up with this phantom male figure over his head and more and more he became the thing he despised the most, assuming that was how a true man was meant to be.
While telling him these stories, however, his mother did little to discourage his bullying and bad-tempered ways. She too believed that this was normal male behaviour, and felt foolish for even considering trying to stop it. She smothered him in gifts, even when they had no money, and gave into his every request.
It was only over the holidays that she finally had the courage to defy him, admitting that she had been seeing a friend of the family, Diane McLain’s father. He was furious, threatening to break up the family, making Diane’s life a living hell. Even before then they had had a rivalry, but now it was reaching a dangerous level.

Appearance: Melville is easy on the eyes, or at least his body is. His face has little to offer, as it is quite plain with small features, his nose unmistakably broken countless times. His hair is loose and casually styled, hanging over his forehead and raising his attractiveness. His body, however, is muscled to perfection; he is not exceedingly massive, though he’s definitely not a stick either.

How did he get into FMS?: Both his mother and father went to magic schools, though his father went to one which was not FMS.

Other? Call him Seth at your own risk. He hates to be known as anything but ‘Melville’.
