Name; Rebecca “Bexi” Leggert
Age; 19
Gender; Female, of course ; )
Ethnicity/County; White British
Personality; Bexi is a wild girl that enjoys to do exactly what she wants, when she wants to. If something needs doing, she’ll do it straight away. If something needs being said, there is nothing that will stop her from saying it as soon as possible.
Bexi has grown with a strange medical condition which dulls her nervous system, so that although she can feel pressure she is unable to feel all but the most extreme pain and temperature changes. So far, she has not ever felt pain before. Her condition has left her life on the edge, and has given her a ‘live for the moment’ attitude, which she proudly carries everywhere she goes. Some may think that she is lucky to be unable to feel pain, but she can tell anyone that it is not a pleasant lifestyle. Scars run all over her body from when she was a child and did not know that she was damaging herself. Although her condition has been helped greatly by medication, she still has to keep a thermometer around in case she overheats or becomes cold, and has to constantly check if she has hurt herself.
She tries whenever she can to defy the disease, however, particularly with sport. She knows that sport is dangerous, but she finds herself at a great advantage as she can push herself harder than anyone simply because she doesn’t know when to stop. The same advantages went with fighting while she was young, but she has long since mended her ways.
Her entertainment includes field-hockey and netball, which she is well equipped for both. She also enjoys Potions, and she is hoping to become a trainee-Potions teacher in the next year once she has finished her education.
History; Bexi has grown up in the UK all of her life, though if you spoke to anyone else British they would probably ask her where she came from; she has lived in almost every region of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and her strong accent is a cross between all of them. Because of moving around so much as a child and having to spend hours checking that she had not hurt herself, she found it difficult to get friends. Rather than sit down and accept this, she became more confident and exciting. Many find her over-zealous nature intimidating at first, but soon find it hard to forget life without her.
Bexi has lived with her parents all of her life, who are both high-earning businesspeople. Their free time is almost non-existent, but they tried to spend every moment they could with their daughter, especially when she was young. She had been taught magic schools wherever they could find them, sometimes having to travel for hours every day to get between their home and the school just so she could have a proper education while staying in the caring arms of her parents.
Bexi’s life was surprisingly normal, despite it all. She enjoys the simple things, and every so often she looks forwards to meeting ‘the cousins’. ‘The cousins’ were a group that had all grown up together closely from their parents. Although there was no blood between them, except for the occasional pair of siblings, sometimes it seemed even closer than blood. They would always meet when their parents would, at big birthdays and holidays, and generally be the children which were all shoved into a corner while their parents celebrated the one night they could enjoy themselves. The cousins grew with each other, learning everything about each other and then never communicating until the next meeting. Diane and Melville had both been a part of the group of about ten. Bexi had always been one of the oldest of those still considered children, and for some reason had been the one placed responsible. This wasn’t a wise choice back in the days of rebellion, but for some reason the others looked up to her.
Bexi grew fast, though, and became a parental figure to most of the cousins and whichever friends she happened to make along her travels. Finally, she realised that she was drawing to a close of her school and she needed to decide what to do with the rest of her life. She had wanted to teach Physical Education, but realised that she wouldn’t be able to sustain that for a long time, and it would be a risk most schools would never take to force her to work. So, she chose her second favourite subject, Potions. She soon realised that most schools required you to have been a student at their school in order to become a Student Teacher straight away, so Bexi’s parents pulled a few strings to get her a place at the elite FMS. It tore them apart to have to watch their daughter face the dangerous world alone, but they knew it was for the best. She was older than her nineteen years at heart, and she had learnt better than anyone to take care of herself.
Appearance; pics
The first thing which strikes you when you see Bexi is just how slim she is. She’s a very tall, skinny girl, well toned through years of sports and keeping in shape. She does not exercise strictly, or even work particularly hard, but it is clear that she still enjoys sports. The second thing which is striking is her scars; tiny scars line her mouth where she bit her lips without realising. Occasional white lines run across her arms and legs, where she tested the barriers of her disease, mostly inflicted in fights she refused to end when most would have ran.
She has kind eyes, however, and long dirty blond hair which she sometimes straightens and sometimes leaves to wave wildly. She mostly prefers to wear casual outfits, her favourite being a pair of slender jeans, a plain strap top and some boots or pumps. It was nothing complicated, and somehow complimenting her height and build perfectly. She has to always keep a tiny black bag attached to her waist, containing her medication, first aid and a thermometer.
Other; She may seem flirtatious and confident, but she has never been with a man or woman before. She has never had the chance, and was always afraid to become too close to someone who she would have to move away from. Not to mention how often she had been warned against overheating in an embrace.
