Evan was a strange person; coffee at eleven thirty at night was definitely weird. While most were sleeping he was heading for caffeine. The coffee was bitter and strong. It woke him up and mixed with the brisk cold air he felt great. He picked up the coffee in a small cafe along the harbor. Stepping out he though maybe going along the beach would be nice. He wasn't one for walking in pretty places to look serious but honestly the ocean was too much to pass up, maybe if he just stayed out of site.
Evan saw a large flat rock looking perfect for laying or sitting on. He made his way across the sand tightening the coat around him. A loose scarf was draped around his shoulders. He climbed up on the rock with ease leaning back against a smaller rock. It was fairly comfortable, more so then one would think. He smiled, the cold air nipping at his nose and the sounds of the ocean making him sleepy. It was strange to be drinking coffee and still feeling tired.
He sipped the robust cup with a sweet aftertaste. Looking up he realized how amazing the stars looked, how perfect and careless they were. Evan smiled, it was rare times he felt so moved by things, but this, this was one of those times. He smiled slightly taking another gulp of coffee.
