Maon stared at the staff room's door for a while, going over his plan. Already the spirits released from the old room have begun to wreak havoc, and their activity grew with every day. So Maon had spent all of his free tie in the library and talking to Mr. Krossof, getting as much information on the spirit's as he could. And, if he was right, one of the released spirits might prove to be useful.
So, hoping that the head teacher was in, he knocked on the staff room door, preparing himself for what may be the most dangerous thing he would ever do.

The Headteacher opened the door slowly, looking forwards to the student waiting in the doorway. She resisted sighing or sounding irritable; she had much more pressing issues then she assumed that this young man would ever discuss. "May I help you?" she asked, opening the door so little that it was almost impossible to see the rest of the staff room but her.

Maon looked the Headteacher straight in the eye for a few seconds. "Yes ma'am." He said, after a while. "I may have found a way to fight the evil spirits." He was almost tempted to try and look around the Headteacher to get a glimpse of what the staff lounge was like, but decided against it. There would be time to do stupid things later.

She dropped her hand from the door, looking at him with wide, frightened eyes. Her lips pulled tight across her face, her mouth drying quickly. She pulled her arms up folding tightly across her chest, feeling her weight shift uncomfortably as she asked, "Whe-where did you hear a thing like that? There are no evil spirits..." trying to mentally make a list of everyone that could have told him. Her voice was quiet and shaky, hoping that he would speak quieter as well.

The hint of a smile reached Maon's mouth for a second, then it dissapeared. "I mean no dissrespect, but you are a horrible liar." He lowered his voice. "Strange things have been happening around campus, and it is obvious that people are not doing them. I do not know how they got out, but I know where they came from, and that there is one who can help."

She frowned; this little brat was beginning to get on her nerves, but she couldn't deny that he probably had enough knowledge and common sense to know to not bother her unless he spoke the truth. She nodded, opening the door and ushering him inside, opening the door nearest the staff room entrance labeled clearly 'Headteacher's Office' and offering him to enter to room. It looked classical, elegant and practical; a few cheap pictures hung off the walls, but mostly it was all square furniture, and grey walls.

Maon followed and, nodding thanks to her, sat down, putting his hands on his lap. He looked around and, staring at one of the pictures, began to tell a story. "I was informed by Mr. Krossof that when he was a boy, th science teacher was a man named Rond. He was strange and was extremely secretive, and was dubbed by many of his students as 'insane'." He looked at another picture. "One day, a student went to his home to ask Rond a question. What he found ruined the teachers life career and his life." He turned to stare at the Headteacher. "Rond was practicing necromancy and had brought a human corpse to life."

She closed the door tightly, taking her time to make sure it clicked fully into place, listening to his words as she did so. She moved around, staying perfectly silent and showing no emotion as she moved to sit in her own chair, putting her arms on the arms of the chair and putting her fingertips together. "What are you suggesting?" she asked, genuinely afraid of where this could be leading to.

"As his punishment for practicing forbidden magic he was forbidden from teaching, imprisoned, and when he died, he joined the evil spirits in their imprisonment. And if the other spirits were released, so was he." He paused slightly, getting exited for some reason. "He was the only person to be able to bind a dead person's soul to something, and binding is almost the same as imprisoning. So if we can get his help, we might be able to capture the other spirits."

She listened to his words, smiling slightly. They sounded so unbelievable, like a teenagers twisted version of a fairytale ending, "Even if his soul was freed by this... incident, which I thoroughly doubt." she added, though she was reluctant to say how she thought this, "It would involve both finding him, forcing him to do our bidding - and remember, death changes and warps even the most sane of people - and it would ultimately only give us a more complex method of disapperating the spirits other than exorcism. Am I right?"

Maon nodded. "All good points, and already thought of. He was a scientist, and with a warped mind has become mad. And mad scientists are attracted to labs. Surely there is an old science lab somewhere on campus. He would be there. As to getting his help, we would promise him freedom under neutral conditions. He would be free to roam as long as he caused no harm. And remember, barely anyone knows how to actually do necromancy anymore. All they do is study theory. The longest they could hold the spirits would be a year, two at most." Maon cracked his neck, then looked at the Headteacher straight in the eye. What would be her counter?

She smiled again, hardly able to believe him. In his mind, he had thought of everything, but he was still so ignorant in the important things. "Maon, do you honestly think that I became the Necromancy teacher of this school by just theory?" she asked him, shaking her head, "You are under the impression that this is some sort of... gateway into the spirit world which has fractured, which will have an infinite amount of spirits. Either that, or that spirits can come back after being exorsized." she told him, leaning back. "Both of these are untrue." she told him.
She really didn't want to tell him too much, but knew that it was a shaky line. "I shall make a deal with you - This spirit will not accept a free pass, since he already has that. I know what he may want, and you are right, he may help. If you can find me this spirit, force him to talk - without the aid of forbidden Necromancy - then we can talk. Until then, I have a lot of work to do."

Maon stared at the Headteacher for a while, thinking about what she had said. He stood after a while. "Ma'am, in order to find him, I will need full access to the campus grounds, including the out of bounds area. If he were anywhere, he would be somewhere in there. Do I have permission?" He tilted his head slightly, waiting for an answer.

Her expression twisted as she tried to decide what to do. Allowing him full access to the school could be risky, as most of the area was closed down for health and safety reasons. "Cast protection spells, and always take at least two companions, and yes, you can go where you like." she said slowly, knowing fine well she would probably regret it later. "And make sure at least one of the companions has a spirit guide." she said, unwilling to tell him exactly what a spirit guide was.

Maon thought for a while, confused. What in the world was a spirit guide? He resolved to find out what they were as soon as this was over. He nodded to the Headteacher and, suppressing a small smile, left the room and the staff lounge after that. Now all he had to do would be to find two people he could trust, and one of them had to have a spirit guide, whatever that was.
