Aiden's chocolate brown eyes shifted from Antosha to the girl who walked into the library, looking like she had lost something and than back to Antosha. "I don't play on teams," he said with a raised eyebrow. He watched as Antosha put his arm around Diane. Was she with him? "If you could excuse me for a moment," he said as he slid his chair back and walked over to Lily-Mae.
"I would recognize those legs anywhere," Aiden said in his thick accent as Lily-Mae turned. She looked confused and than opened her mouth to say something, but he had lifted her over his shoulder and twirled her around. "You can't say you've forgotten me, Lily-Mae McCormik, we were like brother and sister." This got a small squeal from her.

She watched as Aiden stood up and left the table, and quickly pulled Antosha arm away from her, playfully hitting him in the stomach. "Antosha!" she scolded in a high pitched squeek, "You can't just ask that question to a complete stranger!" she said, pulling away from him and packing away her things back into her bag, but keeping out a piece of paper and a pen to doodle on. She was quite flustered that Antosha had put his arm around her. She knew that he was just being friendly, but she saw the way Aiden had looked between the two. If she was going to be single she at least wanted the rest of the world to know she was.
She felt her face burn up, knowing that Antosha could probably hear all of this, desperately trying to distract herself as she turned around, seeing Lily at the desk, talking to Aiden. She waved wildly, saying, "It's Lily," to Antosha, though she wasn't sure if he knew her or not.

Antosha laughed and let go of Diane. "De, when he gets back tell him we aren't together. Oh and, could you find out if he's gay for me? Thanks dear, but I got to run." he said, standing up. As a goodbye present he gave he a small kiss on the cheek and dropped a tiny box on the table beside her. The present from Mayu, he already knew that inside would be a small silver charm bracelet. The charms were enchanted and Mayu had left a note explaining what each of the enchantments did, but nestled in the tissues was a claw ring just like her own, another note explaining about it's qualities like a wand and the use of a key stone needed. Antosha smiled and disappeared using a teleportation spell again. His own gift for Diane was still being made, it was the best picture he would ever have created. One of her and magic, combined.

Lily-Mae's face was bright red as Aiden let her down. At first, she hadn't realized who it was that had picked her up and had made a small squealing sound. "Aiden Talent," she practically screamed it at him as she hugged him. She pulled him over to Diane and hugged Diane. "I'm guessing you two all ready have met," she said with a smile and a wink at Diane. She sat on the corner of the table, letting Aiden take his seat next to Diane. "I've lost my potions book," she said with a frown, "I think potions are definitely out to get me."

Aiden laughed as he let Lily-Mae down and kept a big smile on his face as her face was bright red. Their accents were identical. He was relieved that she had remembered him. It had been a rather long time before they had spoken or had last seen each other. He took his place next to Diane and he smiled at her and shifted his chair somewhat closer to her. He leaned over towards Diane and whispered, "Did she tell you that one time her hair turned green." His eyes watched Lily-Mae scowl at him and stick her tongue out. "Potions have always been out to get you, mate," he said easily.

She hugged Lily back tightly, letting them both sit close to her. If she had known that Aiden was a friend of Lily's she would have probably made more of an effort to be nice. She rolled her eyes at Lily-Mae as quickly packing away the little box, daring not to open it around the semi-strangers. "Again?!" she asked, "I'm telling you, potions is easy, just think of it like equations and it'll stop being so nasty..." she told her sympathetically.
"Oh, and Aiden," she turned to him quickly, feeling her face blush, "Sorry about Antosha... sometimes he can just be so gay," she said, biting her lip as the insult came out. She hated using that insult, but back home people used it so often it just sometimes slipped out, especially when it was in her mind. "Sorry, I-I didn't mean that gay was a bad thing..." she corrected quickly in case he was.

Aiden shifted his eyes to Diane and watched as she bit her lip. Was she punishing herself for saying that Antosha was so gay? He tilted his head slightly and gently tapped her hand to show that it was okay. "What team do you think that I am on," he asked in a serious tone as he leaned back in his seat. His eyes held hers and awaited an answer. He could feel Lily-Mae's on him.

Lily-Mae smiled as she gently kicked her legs back and forth. She hit herself in the head as a sign, "I have never end thought of it that way." She sighed and smiled thankfully at Diane. Her eyes shifted to Aiden as Diane had apologized about saying that Antosha could be so gay sometimes. She stared blankly at Aiden and waited to see what Diane would say. Would she guess right?

She looked at them both, her face once more going red before she put it down onto the table, groaning, "Please, please... don't let me answer that..." she said. It was one of the most awful questions anyone could ask, aside from 'Are you male or female?' "Um..." she lifted up her head. Her hair was now a mess, her face far more red then it had been for a long time. "OK... I'm going to say..." she squinted her eyes and shrunk away, her voice quiet as she said "Bi?"

Aiden gently took Diane's hand in his own and lifted it to his lips, "I am as straight as a ruler, mate." With that he kissed her hand and let it go. He smiled as he leaned back in his seat again. So, Lily-Mae still had problems with potions. That was still the same. The only thing that was different was her eyes. They were colder when she wasn't talking. He would have to ask her what happened, later. The scars on her arms also alarmed him, but he was able to hide it well and keep his eyes mostly on Diane. "I suppose that was a double edged question," he laughed.

SHe hung her head down, holding onto the table, but she quickly lifted it up again, unable to contain a quiet, nervous laugh. "Well, I gave a double-edged answer," she returned; that had been the only reason that she had chosen to say bi. "And besides, I was half right." she continued, shrugging. It was nice to have the attention of a straight man for once, even if he did look the sort to rob a convenience store....

Aiden smiled and let out a small laugh, "You are half right." He leaned back in his chair and relaxed. "So, you and Antosha," he asked with a raised eyebrow, "how does that work out?" He was confused and wanted Diane to talk more. He wanted to know more about her life. He absentmindedly played with the fur on Lily-Mae's boots.

She gave a half smile, looking down. The pen twirled and twisted in her hands as she thought about what she was saying. "I don't really know," she said, looking up at him and letting out a nervous smirk, before looking down again and concentrating. "I think we love each other... just not in that way..." she said slowly, shrugging, as if it didn't hurt her to even think about it. "It's odd, and doesn't really work, but we manage."

Lily-Mae leaned back, supporting herself by her hands. She tilted her head to the side and watched as Aiden started to play with the fur on her boots. The librarian came over and offered her the potion book. She thanked him and apologized for being clumsy and losing the book. She leaned forward and opened the book. She would have to rewrite footnotes on the book again. She frowned slightly. Putting the book on her lap, she leaned back again.

Aiden furrowed his eyebrows and leaned in towards Diane. He thought for a moment before he spoke, being able to feel just how much it hurt her. He could feel others feelings easy, it was getting into their head that was hard for him. "Managing feels like its a burden for you," he said with a serious face. His eyes bore into hers, trying to read into what she was going to saying. It was hard when he was distracted. She was very pretty.
