He didn't mind doing this in fact, it was his idea. Seru smiled. Who didn't like a friendly competition? He had started the dueling club so he would supervise it, and he was a pretty good medic himself. Seru looked around at a few of the students. "Welcome to the first dueling session, no there are a few rules." He said pointing to a large red piece of paper with strange glowing letters on front that read.
RULES:
1. Under no circumstances shall a student take another’s.
2. At the first sight of blood, the supervisor shall step in.
3. Be sure to wear all the right protection/
4. Anything having to do with 'death' is restricted.
5. No forbidden spells.
6. Show good sportsmanship.
7. A supervisor must ALWAYS be present for duels.
Seru looked out now. "Well do we have any volunteers who are willing to show off a little?" He grinned.

Dolly was among the crowd in the new dueling room. She smiled. Dolly loved to show off her powers, and what better way than to have a spar with someone? She pushed her way through the hesitant crowd stepping out into the open. She looked strange. Dolly was in an oversized purple hoodie with black skinny jeans her hair pulled back and thick-rimmed glasses perched on her nose.
She pulled out a pair of white gloves a small diamond in the palm of each. Rather than channel her magic through her wand, she did so through specialized gloves. She had at least 7 pairs but these were her favorite. Dolly pulled on her gloves walking onto the large raised square platform. There was a pillar in each corner. She looked around waiting for a contestant.

Melville was also in the crowd, looking over the people in apprehension. He was afraid of the amount of girls around; he did not want to fight one of them, though he suspected that he wouldn't have much choice.
To Melville, magic was a weakness, something that put others above him in what would have been a fair fight. So, for once, Melville had been working stronger than he had for years, working on his strongest subject; potions. He carried no potions on him as they were all stored carefully away, charmed so that he could call them in a breath. He would teach those around him of the true meaning of a fair fight, and the strength of a body (even if aided by magic).

Dolly was cracking her fingers and pushing up her glasses as she watched a boy come up, a rather tall boy, and a bit gruff. She recognized him too. Seth Melville. She looked over at him taking her place at one side of the stage. She knew many people didn't like him, she knew he w as a bit of a bully, and she knew she could take him down.
Dolly yawned looking over at Seru waiting for a sign to start. She readied herself. The white gloves worked best with white magic; they do say the best offence is a good defense.

Seru looked at the two challengers and smiled. Hopefully this would be a good start to the dueling club. "Alright then, I'm sure your both aware of the rules. Good luck to both, and remember, self control." He warned them both before raising a hand and moving it down. "Begin!" He said with a grin.

A malicious grin spread over Melville's face. Finally, he was being allowed to do something he had been doing all of his life; somehow, it still retained all of its splendor.
Although, now he would have to fight a girl. He had always made it a personal rule to never strike a girl, but he wasn't about to let silly little rules ruin his chance of winning. "Don't take this the wrong way." he said, snapping his fingers as a small vial appeared in the palm of his hands. He crushed it, the potion seeping into his skin, making a dramatic hissing sound. "I still think you're a looker, even if you are a red-head." he said.
Suddenly, his entire body began to change. He could feel his skin getting heavier, and looking down he saw exactly what he had expected; his skin was hardening and blacking, turning into a dark gravel material. He looked up at her, smiling. He could barely move, and his chances of winning were just as slim as they were before, but now, he couldn't lose.

Dolly watched the strange transformation. "It's ok..." She said whipping her hand to the side as air began whirling around it the other hand had water twirling around it. "I'm not into rock monsters." She shrugged with a smile. The way she saw it was that water and wind eroded rock unless whatever covered him wasn't rock. Then there would be a problem.
Just then she shot her hands out water and air entwining and pushing against Seth with a great force, It caused no physical damage but maybe could begin washing away his shield. She focused hoping he wouldn't be able to step forward. It was draining her quickly.

He gritted his teeth, pulling up his arms to sheild his face. His shield was holding, but he could feel it starting to wear down, the water and fire itching the skin behind its rocky texture. He also knew that both spells couldn't last forever. He quickly ran through the list of his spells, trying to think of what he could use; most were either weak against water and air, or ones he couldn't use in the rock form. He swore, loudly, so irritated by his rock cage that he slammed his fist against the ground.
Unexpectedly, the ground began to shudder, cracking under his fist. It gave him a second to remember one of his few remembered spells, which he spoke under his breath. He could feel his muscles growing, cracking his sheild and wearing it down, but he didn't mind. Again, he slammed against the ground, causing it to shudder, a large crack almost a meter wide appearing in the ground and running up, right under Dolly's feet.

Dolly train of focus broke along with her spell. The water and air ceased as she lost her balance due to the crack in the floor. He fell down as it traveled toward her. She quickly rolled out of the way jumping back up to see the now larger Melville.
He was all brawn, no brain. She knew that to win fights you needed to be smart. Now she thought. What could she do to take him down? She tried holding him off with blast of ice. However the blunt spheres merely shattered against his shield.
Dolly though of what to do next. She looked at the gap in the floor now. She put distance between them focusing beginning to fill the trench with water.

He smiled, jumping out of the way of the water and taking the cold as it gave him a new kind of energy. She was failing, and now she was hesitating. He smiled, his favourite words running through his mind. "You know what your problem is?" he snapped his fingers again, a new vial showing in his hands. This one was made of more solid material, but was sure to crack when thrown against something - or someone. "You think too much." he said, throwing the bottle in her direction, hoping it would hit.
Even if the bottle didn't hit, it would release fumes that, if entered into her lungs, would hopefully put an end to most of her spellcasting. The spell would, if it worked properly, cause short term paralysis in her hands and vocal chords, taking out most Kenetics, Wand and Staff... well, every subject but Psychics.

The trench had filled to the brim. It was like a small river through the arena. She smiled. The gas was slowly reaching toward her. "Please..." He said extending her hand as a green sheen enveloped the smoke trapping it slowly purifying the air until it was no more. "White magic." She blew on her finger.
It would be much easier to control water that was already there as well as take less energy to control. She grinned lifting her hands a large tendril of water shooting from the reserve. It whipped toward Seth as Dolly fell to her knees. This was a lot harder than she though it would be. She was exhausting to quickly. However continued to control the tendril.

"Sh-" he said under his breath, knowing that he was far too slow to ever avoid anything like that, while she had the strength to avoid anything she desired. He frowned; this fight had been too much avoiding her attacks and not enough of his own.
He cast off his stone protection - the only thing that possibly would have saved his life against the watery grave, but he had no intention of being a rock at the bottom of this river. His protection free, he cast a traditional teleportation spell, arriving directly behind Dolly, trying to pin her down, particularly her arms.

Dolly gapsed the water tendril falling into the trench as she was successfully pinned down. She saw him over her head their faces close. How would she get out of this. He looked determined. Dolly grinned moving her face up planting a forceful kiss on his lips and receiving a gasp from the crowd. She could feel his shock and his hands loosening as she slipped out of his grasp, quickly knocking him to the side with the water tendril.

Melville smiled; he had almost got her into a hold when suddenly- His eyes opened wide. She was... kissing him? He couldn't help but let go slightly, enjoying the moment. He had to admit that she was a very good kisser, but before he could truly enjoy the moment she pulled away. He looked at her confused for the fraction of a second before feeling his entire body being pulled away, slamming into his side and throwing him to the ground.
He fell, lying on the ground for a moment, trying to prop himself up with one arm. He was winded, and his side was killing him, and he knew at that moment that he was defeated. He could barely stand, never mind continue the fight. "Totally worth it," was all he said, a twisted smile on his face.

Dolly wiped her mouth letting the water fall. "Ugh..." She walked off regretting what she did. "I need to go brush my teeth." She walked off the stage everyone staring at her in disbelief. Then back at Seth.
