Silence. Various small plants dance as the wind moves through them. Maon lets out a contented sigh, enjoying the serenity of the garden. He looks around, checking for people, then kneels down, looking at the fine soil that is sustaining the plants. Normally at this time he would be in the library, but today was different. He scanned the soil, absently rubbing the book at his side. He wanted to try something out.
Not finding what he wanted, he stood and walked to a different part of the garden, kneeling down and looking around again. Surely a garden would have what he was looking for, wouldn't it? He really didn't want to have to buy one.

Ace hummed contentedly to herself as she wound her way through the garden, a pair of tennis shoes in one hand and her staff in the other. The light breeze blew through her hair, sending it flying in all directions, colorful beads rattling in melodic counterpoint. She stopped to run a hand over a particularly wilted butterfly bush, frowning slightly, before glancing thoughtfully upward. She walked on, gaze fixed on the clouds, and so almost tripped over the boy kneeling in the dirt.
The blond threw out her staff and caught herself, leaning heavily on the wood before she carefully settled back onto both bare feet. "I almost tripped over you, you know," she informed the male plainly.

Maon had been concentrating deeply on the soil, and when he was knocked out of his reverie he stared at the reason. "Indeed." He mumbled, sounding slightly annoyed. He stared at her for a while longer, mainly at her hair, before returning to the soil. Honestly, he couldn't care less about that. He wasn't hurt, and it didn't make his search harder. "If there is nothing else you wish to say, good day." He lifted a weed out of the ground, searching the hole for what he was looking for. Nothing.
