Mayu sighed, curling up against the couch. She hadn't been sleeping in her own room in fear of running across Diane, knowing she might still be mad after the park incident. A light blanket wrapped around her, though it couldn't hide all the bruises. She had gotten into a fight with some other students who thought she was choosing the wrong side, or they just hated Mel. Mayu wasn't exactly sure.
She looked around uneasy, hoping class wouldn't be out for another hour or so. It would give her just enough time to sleep, maybe a coma even. Earlier that morning while De had been sleeping, Mayu snuck into the room to collect all her things and leave a note for Diane. The note was a simple thing, barely more then two lines; "I'm sorry, but I don't think I'll be coming back. Please forgive me." She hadn't begged or pleaded, bargained or bought off, she didn't even ask if they were still friend. After all, nothing really mattered at the moment.

Lily-Mae opened the door to the girls main room carefully using the air element and closed it behind her. She was lost in a sea of books. Ever since she had gotten here, she had been taking books to a fro the library every other day. Right now, she seemed to be buried behind another collection of potion books. She stopped dead in her tracks as soon as she realized Mayu was curled into the couch. Her eyebrows furrowed as she dropped her books on the table, making a large thud.
Her eyes searched Mayu for a moment, taking in the bruises on her arms. She wondered what happened, but she was somewhat mad at Mayu for an unknown reason. For angering Diane. "You know Diane's really torn up about this," she said in clear and emotionless voice. She could feel her emotions starting to come through, but managed to keep them down. That's all she needed. To lost it once and burn down the school with fire.

Mayu looked at Lily-Mae, part of her surprised, the other preparing for what was to come. "I know." she said, her voice breaking over the last word. With a sigh she eased herself up, summoning the bag from across the room. As she moved, more bruises became visible on her neck, legs, and from her movement one could tell she had bruised, if not broken, ribs. "I'm sorry. So sorry. I'll leave, okay?" she shoved her things into a backpack, surprised by how easily it fit. Mayu debated her options, the boys dorm room was always open, but then she might have to crash outside again.. Now that was a pleasant thought. She scowled, angry at everyone for being mad at her. Like it was all her fault, yeah, take it out on her.

Lily-Mae looked angry, "Leave? Why would you do that and why is your stuff all out here?" She was more confused by the fact that she was leaving. Where did she think she was going to be able go, outside and sleep? She closed the gap between herself and Mayu. Grabbing her things from her grip easily and putting them back on the floor. Her hand gently took Mayu's and she examined her bruises. "Who did this to you," she asked with furrowed eyebrows, "you should be at the nurse's. not on the couch." Lily-Mae couldn't help but be compassionate. Antosha had introduced Mayu as his little sister.

"I'm out here because of three reasons. One, I am no longer welcome here, this has become a space for De's friends." she stopped, pausing as she called Diane by her nickname. "Diane." she corrected before continuing. "Two, I have no where else to go. And three, it is my belongings they shall go where I go." she finished, pausing for breath before launching on to answer Lily's next question. "A few students, I'm not sure who exactly. I'm not in the nurse's because it is my problem, and I'll deal with it myself. The couch was the only comfy spot I could find." she sighed, feeling the energy slipping away again. Mayu grabbed her phone, flipping it open, staring at Melville's number. She couldn't ask him to pick her up, it was stupid, besides. He had no idea that she no longer had a dorm room or that people were hitting her randomly through out the day. She slipped the phone back into her pocket, reaching for her stuff again.

Lily-Mae watched as Mayu flipped her phone open. She shook her head and sighed, Diane might be mad for this, but if the head master found out Mayu had been kicked out of her dorm without notification. They would all get in trouble. She picked up Mayu's things, stood up and she made her large collection of books follow her. After getting several feet away from the couch, she looked back at Mayu, "Are you coming? I'm putting your stuff back in there." Lily didn't wait to see if Mayu would follow. Instead, she hoped she would. Perhaps they could all sit and talk about what was happening and get things figured out.
Once inside their room Lily-Mae placed Mayu's things her old bed. "Your still Diane's friend," she said in a matter of fact tone, "it's hard for her to see you with someone who can hurt you so deeply. She is only looking out for you, Mayu."

Mayu sighed, following Lily with only a slight limp. "Look, I'm fine. I don't need anybody's help. Not even Mel could help, alright?" her voice was ice, all of her familiar warmth was gone. It was as if her heart had been ripped out of her's chest and in it's place was a small crystal tear. Not that she was blaming Melville, he was the only thing that made sense right now. It was everyone else who had turned her like this, but still she managed to keep her usual warmth going for Mel, but that was all.
Suddenly her image darkened, flashing pictures crossed her vision. A small girl laughing, dancing with a bubble wand. Next a girl blowing out her birthday cake candle's, a huge family clapping behind her. A girl, alone, reading a book in a huge library. The same girl arriving at FMS, her eyes wide. The girl meeting everyone, smiling and laughing. Dancing at the pub, making jokes with Brynn. A more resent memory flooded her, the girl popping up behind Anto to great Lily. Then the girl standing outside, a hardened expression as she walked away with a huge guy.
Mayu gasped, waiting for her vision to return. The stupid flashbacks were getting worse, no thanks to Anto of course. She put a hand to her head, her eyes squeezed shut, firmly blocking out the light. Now would be a great time for Mel to pop in, but she knew he wouldn't. It was too much of a fairytale to ask for.

Lily-Mae looked at Mayu with concern, "Why don't you lay down for awhile. I will stay here." She froze as Mayu said that not even Mel could help. "People really hate him here don't they," she said softly. She could feel the iciness that Mayu had in her heart now. "Your not fine," Lily-Mae said as she looked Mayu square in the eye, "you are torn right now, anything but fine. You shouldn't bottle up things. It's bad for you, I should know. If you won't go to the nurse, at least lay down and rest. Please." She closed the door to the room.

Mayu sat down on the edge of the bed, not daring to rest yet. She bit her lip, the sighed. "People here really, really hate him." she admitted, reaching for her bag. With a grunt she heaved it over, pulling out a large stuffed rabbit, the very same Salem had given to her.

Lily-Mae carried her large collection of potion books over to her bed and dropped them onto the bed with a sigh. "I am sorry to hear that," she said as she looked over at Mayu. She was serious about being sorry. She couldn't imagine being with someone who everyone hated and to be beaten because she was with them. "Nice rabbit," she added as she kicked her shoes off and climbed into bed. She had memorized the potions in twenty books so far and could rattle them off easily. Of course, it was actually making the potion with her hair turning green that was the problem.

Mayu shook her head, a light smile on her face. "Thanks, Salem gave it to me awhile back." she propped it gently against her pillow and yawned. "Need help?" she asked, motioning to the potion books. With a sigh she left the warm bed, talking off her shoes and clothing to quickly get changed into pajamas; a pair of black satin boxers and a large white shirt. Though Mayu moved fast the patterning of the purple and blue bruises could be seen on her back and ribs, a small cut was even on her stomach. She sighed again, slinking into the bed and cuddling with the rabbit.

Lily-Mae let out a laugh, "I don't think there is any helping me with potions. I have a problem actually making it." She frowned as she opened one of the books and stared at another introduction to another potions book. "So, your ribs are they broken," she asked with furrowed eyebrows. Lily-Mae found her mind wondering as to when Diane would be back. They could all sit and talk about this. She knew that Diane wanted to still be friends with Mayu and that De didn't want Mayu to pick between Melville and herself, but to hang out with both of them.

Mayu looked at Lily, one eye opened blearily. "Nah, not hurting enough." she mumbled, feeling herself fall prey to the demon of sleep. Who made these beds so dang comfortable anyway? The spirits so you would obey their every command just to get back on the bed?

Lily-Mae glanced over at Mayu. She thought for a moment before she began to speak, "You know. If you talk to Diane she will understand. She won't make you choose sides." Her hands fumbled with the pages of the book. She was starting to actually consider talking to Maon about this. Maybe he could help her with her potions problem.

Mayu laughed, though the action hurt her sides. "I'm not one for talking, in case you haven't noticed." she said, smiling. "Maon will give you an hour long lecture for that." Mayu looked at the book in Lily-Mae's hand and laughed. The girl must suck at potions to be reading that, too bad she couldn't deal with Mayu's old books.
