Diane came home late that night after going to the garden. She was not surprised to see that Mayu was already asleep as she climbed into her own bed, carefully pulling the covers over her oversized arm. She knew that she would have to answer to her in the morning and explain what had happened, but she hoped that could wait...
It turns out it couldn't.
She looked at her clock as her head hit the pillow, watching the brightly coloured lines remind her that it was almost four in the morning. Disappointed, she closed her eyes and tried to cuddle into her bed, but as soon as she closed her eyes they burst open again. She turned around, looking behind her to the other beds in their room. Not one of them moved. She let out a low breath, telling herself there was nothing to be afraid of anymore as she turned away, closing her eyes...
"Diane."
She jumped up, her breathing fast as she looked around the dark room, trying to see through the haze. Quickly, she looked into the bag she had thrown by her bed, pulling out her wand. She breathed quick words, and the room illuminated - at least in her eyes. It was empty, which didn't help her.
She looked at the other beds, noticing that they were all still, and not one of them had the accent to have said that anyway. "Mayu," she called into the darkness quietly, sliding out of her bed, still holding her wand as she came to the side of her bed, whispering "Mayu!"

Mayu stirred, vivid lights dancing before her eyes. It took her a moment to realize that Diane was standing above her with a wand in her face. A wand? Mayu sighed, De was using a wand rather then a lighter. She muttered to herself; "Dea of Luna , EGO dico vobis. Lux lucis meus semita , ostendo mihi via.". A small ball of light flickered into life, rising till it was just above her head, it gave a soft glow to the room. She smiled to herself, the spell had worked. "What do you want?" she asked calmly.

She looked around the room, her skin felt prickly and icy cold. The room, once so comfortable and safe, suddenly felt uncomfortable to Diane. Had they done something that night which they shouldn't have, maybe disturbed some forces? "Did you... did you hear that?" she asked, knowing that Mayu had probably been asleep, but hoping that she hadn't been.

Mayu looked at Diane, taking in her friends features. Almost as if she were Ant, Mayu was out of bed and beside De. "Heard what? Hey, sit down. Do you need something to drink? Tea maybe?" She asked, helping her friend onto her bed. She grabbed Diane's blanket, wrapping it around her before sitting down. Maybe it was just the lighting but De looked scared out of her mind, almost enough to make her run and get Ms Jackson.

She sat down, accepting the blanket, still confused why Mayu hadn't noticed the cast on her arm, and reaching over to the counter beside her bed and grabbing the sling, trying to clumsily put it back on. "I don't know..." she said, trying to attach it. "I don't need anything I just... I could swear I heard someone here, in this room." she said, still looking around.

Mayu avoided looking at Diane's arm, but she moved to help her friend put on the sling. "Want me to get Ms Jackson to check the room?" she asked, her voice calmer then she felt. How could someone be in the room, wasn't there a spell keeping everyone else out? Maybe there should be, in case something happens again. She sighed, wondering if the healers could do something more for Diane's arm. Though she doubted De would go there, unless she got tricked.

She looked at Mayu, trying to work out exactly what to do as she chewed on her lip. Ms Jackson might be able to see if anyone was there, but if it was a spirit, then she was bound to know that Diane had done something. She shook her head, giving a nervous laugh, "No, I must have just been dreaming." she said, her laughter getting quieter and quieter. Though she didn't look around anymore, her ears were still alert to the slightest sound.
