She was breathing harder, trying to focus on the last two steps before bursting into the store. "Jason!!" she was screaming, trying to get attention before she collapsed. Mayu struggled to remain on top, forcing her way back into this body. Recently she'd been slipping, falling back into the void for brief moments, finding it impossible to remain without a reason. Up until Ant had called her.
He kept going on and on about her being back, what she missed, and his new school. It had taken days to gather all the information she needed, and to form a plan without her much needed sleep. "JASON GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE!!!!!" it annoyed her how much an ex cop could ignore her when his powers were needed the most.
"Seth?! You here?!!" She was calling them by their hated names in hope of calling them here sooner. Plus, she'd learned that they tended to do better pissy then normal.

Jason Melville was upstairs, taking stocks, when he heard the screams. He put down the pad of paper and pen quickly, rushing to the stairs. A frown etched into his aging face, he didn't particularly like when people called him by his first name, but unlike his son he had no real reason to hate it.
He climbed down the staircase as quickly as he could, looking down at the small Asian girl, seeming to struggle with herself. He had studied long enough in Lishma's Necromancy school to know that there was something different about her. Not only that, but it didn't take much to recognise her.
"Mayu..." he breathed out slowly, coming to the bottom of the stairs and offering her a hand to help herself up. "Mayu, how are you alive?" he asked, though there was a cold feeling which let him know that Mayu was not the only dead one in the room.

Mayu shook her head, finally managing to stand on her own. "I want to bring him back." she said simply, ignoring his questions. She smiled as the coldness increased, finding comfort in the frozen air. "I need your help to get him back, you attended the school. Right? So help me bring him back." she was so sick of people telling her no, that bringing him back was impossible. Well, she was back so it wasn't impossible. "Jason, he's slipping.. We HAVE to get him back before he's gone." Mayu looked up at him, pleading with her voice.

Jason looked down at her, folding his arms across his chest once he was certain that Mayu could stand up fully on her own. He's slipping... He closed his eyes and held his head down, feeling the energy from the spirit that was around them, like a dark shadow watching from the corner of the room, twisted from his love of the living and his desire to keep Mayu safe from the new creature he was becoming. "You're right..." he said softly. If they didn't do something soon, he would be more of a threat than whatever horrific creation could be made from the ritual.
"I don't even know how he'd come back like... There's always a price to pay, its the way the world works," he shook his head. Was he really agreeing to this this easily? It went against all of the laws and rules he worked so hard to keep, but it was his son - even if he didn't even know him. "But its gotta be better than this," he said, looking up at her with determination.

Mayu smiled, flipping a strand of hair over her shoulder. "We need to do it today." she looked over the cold spot, shivering. It didn't matter what happened, as long as it was still Mel she'd be happy. Your his daddy, right? the thought was carefully guarded from everyone but him in hope he would hear it but know not to respond by speech.

Jason stopped in his tracks, before turning away slowly, moving over to the shelves and piece by piece taking out the things he needed for the spell. Yes. Not much of one, though. he sent back to her coldly, saying over the top, "We'll do it as soon as we have everything. Grace still has the potions from when Diane was possessed which will save time."
Don't let him know. Keep calling me Jason. he sent her again, carrying on the sentence aloud, "We'd need his permission, otherwise this will all be useless." And if he knows that its me who's doing this he would never trust it... he's been his mother's son long enough to know I will be hated.

Mayu nodded turning to the cold spot, taking a moment to feel stupid. "Hey baby?" she asked slowly, shaking as it got colder around her. "Will you give me your permission to bring you back? Please.... You promised..." her voice shook as she asked, taking all her energy to keep her teeth from chattering.
He'd trust me doing it, I hope.. Mayu closed her eyes, waiting to see if he'd be able to answer while waiting on Jason to gather all the supplies.

The dark shadow raised its head slowly, piercing eyes watching the two closely. Well, it was what could be most resembling a head on the his shadowing body. He had turned to darkness, forgetting even what his original body had looked like. Hell had twisted him, made him miss the glory of life. And now life was all around him, quickly tearing apart everything that was left of Melville's soul.
He felt only two emotions, jealousy and love, both merged and frayed at the seams.
He turned his vision to Mayu, his hearing to her words. Life... the chance to have it for himself, without hurting his precious Mayu. Bring me back... words hissed out, sounding nothing like what his old voice.

She bit back a scream, running to hide behind Jason as she shook. Her Melville had changed so much, it was scaring her. Almost to the point of keeping him dead. "H-he says bring him back..." her voice shook, climbing an octave higher then usual. "C-can we get this over with?..." I want to get the heartache over with.. He's not going to be the same after this. She sent the mind voice quickly after speech, not even bothering to hide it from the deadly spirit of her boyfriend.

Jason nodded. It was true that whatever happened, things wouldn't be the same. If they brought him back - which was a big if - there was no way of knowing what would happen. No spirit had even been brought from such a form into life, as there had never been any need for it. Would he change back to his old self? Jason grabbed more items, throwing them into a backpack. From what he had heard of his son, his old self wasn't the best person anyway.
He zipped up the bag soundlessly and threw it onto his back. "It'll be safest to use his old body," he said, opening the door and letting Mayu walk through before him, wishing he could keep an eye on Melville, though he knew where his spirit was it was impossible to see. He'll still love you. he sent Mayu, trying to reassure her, though he wasn't sure if reassurance was the best right now. Realism, as horrific as it was, may be the only thing to save her from a huge fall.

Mayu nodded, closing her eyes. "The storm... Our bodies shifted, in the ground. Five feet west from the burial spot." with a smirk she fell, using her dead magic to attempt a simple teleporting spell. It was harder for her to walk then use magic, so she just hoped for the best while grabbing him and managing to squeeze through the barrier on the city to land twenty feet from the destination she had wanted.

Jason nodded, before feeling himself shifting. The death magic seemed so unnatural, and it was so unexpected. It had been a long time since he had encountered death magic, as he hadn't felt it since there had been a magical problem at his final year of FMS. He had spent almost all of his education in LNS, but was in FMS just in time for the practical Necromancy lessons to be shut down, for very good reasons.
He looked around the forest, where the bodies were. He remembered hearing rumors that they wouldn't be allowed to stay there, or even anywhere in this strange country, and was thankful they were mistaken.
"Is your brother's casing still over the body?" he asked slowly, walking forwards. He hadn't been able to go to the funeral or anywhere near this site since that last night, though it wasn't from lack of trying.

"No, they cracked it open after they got him under control. He was sedated for days during the investigation." she laughed, slowly pointing to a patch of dirt. "He's under there." Mayu turned to him slowly, having to ask. "Jason, what could happen to him? And don't lie to me, I'll know if you do." Her voice was cold, almost ice as she crossed her arms to wait.

Jason stood over the part of the soil where his son lay beneath, feeling his shadowy 'eyes' baring down into him. Melville knew what lay beneath there, knew what it looked like. Jason too knew what it would be like. Maybe they wouldn't have to see, though.
"Mayu, we need these in a even circle around this area," he said, passing her five red candles and five black and a small lighter. "In order, black red," he added quickly, pulling out a small bag of red sand from the backpack, concentrating on what he was doing rather than the horrific words he was saying.
He kept his eyes on the ground, saying in a detached, cold voice, "A lot of horrible things, Mayu, I wouldn't lie about that. It's possible nothing will happen, or any number of things. He may wake but not be healed and die again. He may wake to a life of pain, and we'd have to be prepared to kill him. That's even if his soul returns to his body. It may not - it may return as an empty, soulless shell, may be taken by another wandering spirit during the time of the barrier, or it may destroy his soul completely, not just in this time but in the past as well, simply erasing him from ever existing...." he looked up, the red sand circle complete, looking into Mayu's eyes. "So they hypothesize, anyway. If the latter's happened before, no one knows about it."
He sighed, pulling out another leather pack, this time containing black sand, but instead of instantly drawing another circle, he sighed, holding it loosely in his hand. "I'm not sugar-coating this for you, love. This is dangerous, for you, me, him, everyone in the world. It could break barriers between this and the spirit world. It could do any amount of damage..." he looked up into the sky. It was almost perfect conditions for something like this, he realised, but that wouldn't make it any easier. "But I wouldn't be agreeing to this if I thought that would happen now. If I thought it wasn't worth the risk."

Mayu nodded, leaning down to do as he instructed. "I understand." she replied slowly, standing up once her task was completed. "Can we begin now?" she asked, folding her arms carefully as she stared at the ground. It was colder here then it have ever been, but that wasn't necessarily a good sign or a bad one.
