Mayu stepped out of the car, gently shutting the door behind her. Mel had been bugging her forever to come and get him but she'd been spending most of the time looking like the dead girl she was. Mayu smiled to herself as she fumbled with her black and blue pigtails. "Grace!!" the voice came out hollow and echoed as she banged through the door. "I need the address to Jason's place!"
The dark miniskirt was far from usual but it went dramatically with her newest fishnet shirt, black bra included. "GRACE! GET YOUR BREATHING BUTT DOWN HERE!"

Grace was busy as per usual doing work. It had been difficult and she had had to pull a lot more shifts than she was used to since Jason had requested some sick leave and Brynn had been doing his studies - or at least she'd assumed. She didn't want to give him the chance of missing anything from the school.
She turned to the door, seeing Mayu standing just outside it and calling her. "No need to shout," she told her, putting her hands on her hips. She walked to the door, quickly opening it for her as she looked down at her.
Jason. She couldn't think of many reasons why Jason would become involved with Mayu, and all of them leaded to trouble. "Why do you need Mel-Jason's address?" she asked, almost calling him by his preferred name, but she wanted to avoid any confusion.

Mayu rolled her multi-colored eyes and clicked her tongue restlessly. "Because, Melville wants me to pick him up. His legs still aren't working properly so it's up to me to get him." she snarled, shaking the keys in Grace's face. "So, just give me the fucking address and let me get my zombie." Mayu stomped her foot in frustration. She was restless, bored, and this crap about babies was bugging her. Everyone was going on and on about their baby brothers, or sisters, or their own babies. And how exciting it was to have one of their own. So yeah, she was taking out her own frustration of dying on everyone else.

Grace paled quickly, before a rush of blood ran to her cheeks. "I'm going to kill him." she said through gritted teeth, unable to give the address in a flurry of her own anger, everything adding up. Of course he hadn't been ill, he had been placing all of their lives in danger by summoning a high level spirit into the mortal world. Not only that, but he was jeopardizing his whole career and life just talking to Melville. Grace didn't know everything, but she suspected that there may have been a restraining order between them, and if not then his colleagues would have no objections throwing him off the team and making his whole case over their death and the school's spirit problem wide open.
Grace shook her head, turning away, trying to take a few seconds to let the anger wash over her, before turning back to Mayu, suddenly clearer. "Jason's an idiot," she said, taking a piece of paper and printing words and maps on it with her mind. "Please, if you get Melville away from him, keep him away. You have no idea what them just talking to each other could do," she said, passing her the paper with the address.

Mayu glanced down at the paper then crumpled it into her fist and jumped back into the car, slamming down on the gas as the speakers blared. "Lay your heart down, the end's in sight. Conscience begs for you to do what's right. Everyday it's still the same dull knife, stab it through and justify your pride." She slammed the brakes in front of the house, pounding on the horn obnoxiously. The whole family but not family thing was getting on her nerves. Mayu wiped away the tears threatening to spill over as she slammed her fists back into the stomach. "WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!"

There was a loud beeping sound from outside. The two looked at each other for a moment, realising exactly what it meant, one finding it a sound of heaven, the other a death knell. "Don't do this, Melville..." his father tried to tell him.
The boy glared at him with his bright blue eyes, pulling himself off the chair with some amount of difficulty. It was getting easier every day to move his legs, but they still felt like they had been frozen, and were having difficulty thawing out again. "Fuck you," he said, pulling himself against the wall to support himself as he hobbled out.
"Melville, please just let me-"
"FUCK OFF!" Melville screamed at him, shooting him a look that could kill if he had intended it to. As it turned out, it still had some punch to it. Jason found himself flying backwards, striking the wall on the far side of the wall hard, sliding down in pain.
Melville looked down at the man he knew was his biological father, the person who he would never call that, saw him in pain as he tried to straighten himself up again. He had deserved it more than anyone he had ever done that to, even if he hadn't intended on it. He turned away quickly, slamming the door behind him before Jason had even managed to stand up.
"Mayu... little help?" Melville asked her as he walked slowly across the long front garden path to the car, already finding the exercise burning his legs.

Mayu looked up, ignoring the tearing, burning feeling from her stomach. "Yeah." she whispered, opening the door on his side and climbing out to him. She ran to his side, easily supporting him with her own weight. Her hand shook as she lead him to the car, almost carrying him to his seat. "Drive tomorrow." She mumbled, climbing over him to get into the drivers seat. Ignoring when her miniskirt rode up. The stereo had switched to a lighter beat song by the time she had slid out of the driveway. Mayu glanced at him, shaking her head and turning away. "You found out?"

Melville certainly didn't feel comfortable with Mayu lifting him. He was the man, he was meant to be the one taking care of her, not to mention that he was far bigger than her and it couldn't have been an easy task. He was so depressed he didn't even notice the spider that he had loved, only seeing a means of transportation out of that place.
He stared out of the window and into the house's window, remembering how good he'd actually felt being looked after, like for once in his life he'd had a father figure, even if only for a few days. If it had been anyone but that monster, he would have turned back. But for too many years he had been polluted by his mothers harsh words against him. "You knew..." he said blankly, staring out of the window, refusing to look at Mayu. He felt foolish; why had he expected to be told important things now, when all of his life he'd been kept from them? Why had he stupidly expected Mayu to be different?

Mayu stopped the car at the park, turning to look at him. "He told me you guys were related and not to tell you. No one else would take you in, even Grace is afraid of you..." She mumbled, stretching over to touch his cheek. "You have every right to be mad at me, Mel. Just say the word and I'll disappear, okay?" she whispered, reaching past him for the door handle. She never thought it would come to this, so maybe it would have been best if they both had just stayed dead like normal people.

Melville looked forwards, his eyes unfocused as he tried to concentrate. He wasn't used to things like this. When things went bad, he would just try and destroy something, unleash all of his emotions into anger and pain. He clenched his fists. There was nothing he could dare hurt around him, and it almost made him afraid to be so close to Mayu when he felt like this. Maybe he wasn't so different to what his father was meant to be...
He didn't want her to leave, gritted his teeth, "You're all I have, Mayu," he told her, unable to look at her in the moment of weakness, ashamed that the words had come from his lips. They were so weak, so soft, so... unlike him. Unlike what he was meant to be. He looked back at her, his eyes hardening, "So don't you fucking dare leave me, alright?" he added, feeling like he needed to stay true to himself somewhat.

Mayu smiled, half jumping into his lap. "No need to cuss, silly." she laughed, kissing him softly. So what if all hell was fucked up, at least he wasn't crying. She knew that if he ever started crying that everything was about to end. His anger was easy to see, so she ducked her head to his chest and shut her eyes. "Hit the car." she mumbled, not daring to look if her baby got destroyed. She might not like the whole idea of knowing what kind it was, but she'd grown attached to her beloved Spider.

Melville felt her lips against hers for the briefest moment, and though she ducked down to his chest, he wasn't done. Anger wasn't the only way of getting rid of strong emotions, after all, and it had been far too long since they had kissed. He ran a hand along her long black hair, still amazed that he could actually feel how soft it was. He kissed the top of her head softly, resting his head against him. "Hey, this is a classic car. I'd rather hit you," he joked. Of course, it wasn't true. Though the idea did frighten him somewhat. Was it true? All his life he'd been told that men beat women, almost to the point of it being the right thing to do because it was so... normal. And his mother hadn't exactly been a pacifist. No.. I could never hurt Mayu... he convinced himself, stroking her cheek softly.
He slipped his fingers under her chin, lowering his head to hers as he pressed his lips against her once more, anger being replaced by passion as he pressed his tongue against her lips, his hands running across her smooth hair.

She pushed him off, trying to remember the steps to breath. "Don't you dare hit me." her voice shook as she tried to remain tough. "Alright?" Mayu pressed against him, leaning in to kiss him again. She brushed her fingers against his shirt, toying with the edges to pull it off. Not in the car... Right? her voice was mused, almost muffled by her own happiness.

Melville looked down, giving a cheeky smile as he moved his hand to her cheek, brushing it softly. She was his, and for once he'd take care of it. "I'd never hurt you," he promised her, caressing her lips softly with his fingers, feeling every inch of her skin in amazement. "Unless you really deserved it," he added, not really wanting to back himself into a corner. It was foolish lying; not telling Mayu to be wary was like giving a child a pet lion without telling it to be careful. "'Sides, I thought we'd established that you're the strongest here," he teased her.

Mayu kissed him nose playfully, leaning against the dashboard with a smirk. "Your right. I'm amazingly strong. So be careful or, I might just have to tie you up." She paused, chewing on her lip while thinking over the next response. "Hell! I might just have to do that anyway!" she giggled, leaning back to kiss his cheek. "With those black handcuffs in your closet...?"
