Brynn slowly walked through the streets of Crastyl with no particular place to be. The magic of it all seemed to amaze him. This had been an especially nice pick up from the negativity at home. Brynn walked into a trinkets store specializing in strange magic’s and such. Of course it was legal. He yawned quietly looking through an assortment of scrying tools and tarot decks. He picked up a few books to buy them. Brynn walked up to the desk noticing the storekeeper talking to a little girl who seemed lost. "Maybe she forgot me!" She cried to the shopkeeper. The old woman behind the counter smiled. "Don't worry she hasn't forgotten you, how could she not remember her own daughter. Your mother's only a bit late from work Cynthia." The girl just nodded with a frown.
Brynn listened quietly. "Anyways...memories are a strange thing they can be forgotten...but never lost." The old lady smiled patting the girls head while she quickly darted into the back of the store. Brynn smiled walking up to buy his purchases. After leaving with a small bag he walked out of the store. People bustled in the streets as he began to be pushed by the current of people.
He wound up in another store however this time it was a cafe. "BRYNN!" He heard a high-pitched voice from across the room. He knew that voice anywhere and he dreaded it. A girl with red curly hair and freckled nearly tackled him. "Hey Judy." He said giving a fake smile. "I haven't seen you since eighth grade!" She smiled. There was a reason she was by far the bossiest most annoying girl who attached herself to him. Honestly Brynn wished she'd just forget about him forever. The thought went around in his head over and over when he noticed she was looking at him funny.
"Do I know you?" She asked him. He stared at her in disbelief. "Judy...it's Brynn." He said at her finding it strange how she had suddenly forgotten like he hoped she would. "Sorry I must have forgot, my memory is a little hazy I guess." She shrugged. "Well anyways uh...Brynn is it? I need to go I'm here with someone." She turned on her heel and walked away.
What happened? He had imagined her forgetting about him and she did. Was this coincidence or magic? Brynn left the store feeling strange inside like he discovered a new and powerful magic.
