Getting here was just half the work. Sifting through the shops was the other half. He loved this city. Filled with magic and magical things and places. It was so mesmerizing. He wandered into an old bookshop. It was dusty and antiques lined one wall books were jammed anywhere they'd fit. Some neat piles of books scattered on the ground and an old man sitting and reading behind a desk. He had glasses and a seemingly calm nature about him. He was probably Gotts.
Brynn decided to wander around for a bit maybe finding a good book. Lucky for him he did. Some information about white magic. He found a small-secluded corner plopping down on his behind opening the book his knees close to his chest. His hoodies was loose covering his hands. He smiled. This place was amazing. He didn't know how long he was there but he didn't want to stop reading.

Lynn sighed, passing amongst the massive shelves. Where was that book?
Earlier that day on a trip to the laundromat (the only place he could really dry his clothes without seeming odd) a poster had caught his eye: one for a healing class. It had required a book he didn't have, and he figured this would be the best place to get it. Not to mention he had a passion for libraries: the musty smell, the cracking of ancient spines, the soft rustle of turning-
"Ooof!"
He hadn't noticed the boy sitting there until he tripped over him, sending him sprawling to the ground. He lay there for a second before picking himself up, turning to face the poor unsuspecting soul he had tripped over. To his surprise: a familiar face.
"Oh... hello there." Lynn mused quietly, not wanting to attract more attention from the library staff then he already had. "Didn't expect to see you here."

Brynn was engulfed in the book unsuspecting of anyone tripping over him. He was half way past a protection charm when he felt something his foot. The body hit the floor with a thump. Brynn gasped jumping up and leaning down to help whoever fell. He noticed it as Lynn. "Oh my gosh..." He said quickly. "I'm so sorry Lynn here." He offered a hand to help him up.
"I should've sat somewhere more secluded so that way I wouldn't trip someone. Ugh I'm so sorry..." He squeezed out quickly running out of breath. "Are you okay?"

"I... but-... uhh-..."
Lynn sighed, unable to squeeze a word past Brynn's exclamations of surprise, and merely waited until the boy ran out of breath to interrupt him.
"It's fine, really. I'm fine. I should've been more careful..."
He took Brynn's hand, helped himself up, dusted off his pants and gave a small smile.
"No need to be so worrisome. A fall's not going to kill me."

Brynn let out a little sigh of relief as he watched Lynn brush himself off. The man behind the desk looked over to see what the commotion was. Brynn waved him off saying everything was fine. "Okay well...I'm sorry again." He said picking up his book from the floor.
"So what are you doing here?" He asked with a smile turning toward the bookshelf to look through some books. He was planning to buy a few for his collection in his room.

"I'm looking for a book, actually."
He paused, realizing how stupid that sounded. Why else would you be in a library?
"I mean, I'm looking for a certain book. It's one I need for the new healing class... A-Z Potions, I think it's called. But I can't find it..."
Lynn shrugged.
"Maybe all the copies have already been checked out..."

Brynn knew the book he was talking about. However he had borrowed the last copy from the school library. "I'm sure we can find it, we have better chance if we look together." Brynn smiled grabbing Lynn's wrist. "Come on." He said pulling Lynn through shelves of books into the potions section. "Now I guess we have to look around." He said still holding onto Lynn's wrist without knowing it. But Brynn was merely looking up and down the shelves and finally let go when he kneeled to look closer.

Lynn coughed awkwardly at Brynn's grip on his wrist as he was pulled along, feeling even worse at the kind-hearted chuckling of the library owner behind him as they vanished into the depths of the potions section.
It was musty, and Lynn sneezed, grateful to have his wrist back as Brynn started checking the shelves. Now a bit more interested in his shoes, he gestured vaguely with a hand towards the other end of the row.
"I'll, uhh... go look over here." the boy muttered, giving a faint nod and scurrying down the way, merely checking the titles of the books and not really paying much attention.

"Bless you..." He replied to the sneeze while perching by the bookshelf. "Ok tell me if you find it..." Brynn scanned the shelves like a mad man. There was a strange awkward silence between them until Brynn saw it. Way at the top, much to tall for him but maybe perfect for Lynn. "Uhm...I found it, I just can't reach it." Brynn frowned reaching up on his toes just a few centimeters short.

Lynn blinked, glancing over at Brynn reaching, angrily, for the book. Lynn sighed, rolling his eyes and giving a small smile.
"You're taller then me..." he mused, grabbing a footstool near his feet and walking over. He placed it on the carpet with a dry thump, climbed up the steps, and grabbed it out from under Brynn's reaching fingers. It was, however, heavier then Lynn expected. He stepped backwards slightly as it fell into his hands, and found no step to land on. He felt himself tipping backwards, and wondered if he could catch himself on the bookshelf behind him even as he found himself falling.

Brynn smiled realizing it was true. Lynn was even shorter than him. Brynn was pretty short already though. He watched Lynn as he grabbed the book. "Looks like you got it." He smiled but too soon. Lynn lost his balance. "Ah!" Brynn tried to catch him putting an arm around his waist however he was pretty weak himself. Instead they bumped heads and landed on the floors Lynn on top of Brynn. "Owie..." He mumbled his head buzzing.

Lynn wasn't entirely sure what had happened at first. His head was swimming with adrenaline, and it was a few minutes of merely heavy breathing before he realized what had happened and where he was.
He gasped, scrambling off the boy and moving quickly to the other side of the isle, his entire body tingling faintly, as he fought away the blush creeping up his cheeks. He managed to hide most of his face with his hair, clutching the book angrily to his chest.
"S-Shoot. That was a close call." Lynn muttered faintly, shaking his head angrily. "You o-okay?!"

"Hey it's okay..." Brynn said standing up rubbing the back of his head. "Just an accident. I’m fine." He walked over smiling through the pain in his head. "Well I guess we got the book, we can leave now?" He asked picking up his book on white magic and it's counterpart on black magic. He smiled at Lynn gesturing him to go ahead.

Lynn nodded quickly, moving towards the checkout line, not really wanting to look Brynn in the face.
He wondered, as the old man swiped the book through the check-out line, how much longer he could keep this up. It was only a matter of time before somebody found out.
"Have a nice day, you two." the man said, winking at them. Lynn gave a faint smile in return, and turned to face Brynn. "Thanks for helping me find the book."

Brynn looked at him noticing that Lynn wasn't much shorter than him they were basically at eye level. It would have felt weird to look down on him. "No problem Lynn it was fun." He gave a smiled. He paid for his books as well and walked outside. "Well I guess you have places to be." Brynn said. "Maybe I'll go visit another store." He pondered out loud. "Well I don't want to interrupt your day, goodbye I guess." He said smiling
