Lynn was staring at his shoes, and gave a small nod.
"Yeah... wouldn't want to drag you down either. See ya."
With that, he turned on his heel, scurrying down the street as fast as he possibly could, the book still clutched like a precious possession. Truth was, Lynn was afraid to let go, because then his heart might be revealed.
