Kurt was wandering through the library at school, a dark, dusty place with ancient books that looked about to crumble at a touch. He poked them back against the shelf, watching them make an uneven line. He poked about five books, but found they werent going back against the shelf like the others were. He pulled the books off the shelf, letting them fall onto the floor at his feet.
'Necromancy of the Seventeenth Century'
"Oh what fun I can have with this." He smirked, paging through the book. He leaned against the wall, his eyes scanning the page with intrest.
'Many people are unable to preform the acts in this book. It is suggested that you have a-'
He turned the page, the warnings meaning nothing to him. If he blew himself up, he blew himself up. Its not like he had a boyfriend or anything who would miss him. He snarled, thinking of the boy at the docks. He read a page, thinking how much fun it would be to bring a dead person to life again. Would they be rotted? Would they be able to function? Would they be zombies? He didnt know, but he was willing to find out. And he didnt care how much trouble he got into.
Curiosity killed the cat, afterall. But satisfaction brought it back..

Kurt smiled, tucking the book into his bag and continued his charades with the other books. He continued to poke them until he grew bored. He walked out of the library, making his way back to his dorm, where he threw himself down on his bed, pulling the book from his bag as he continued to read.
The page listed a bunch of ingreidants he would need in order to make things happen. He scribbled them down in a notebook, planning to find the things he needed. He closed the notebook, tossing it to the end of the bed. He thumbed through the book, his eyes scanning the page before he set off, shoving the book back into his bag as he hugged the notebook to his chest. He wandered around, making his way back to the library, then changing his mind and walking off to the school. He had to find a way to get these things or his questions would nag him to no end.
His notebook fell out of his hands, a gust of wind taking it with it. He chased after it, then realized it landed at the feet of a female student.
"Thats mine. Mind if I get it back?"

Bast turned, looking at the sudden appearance of the boy in confusion. Since when had anyone spoken to her? Not since the day she arrived had one student uttered a breath in her direction. The sudden gust of wind that had brought his notebook to her feet now played with the hem of her long white skirt, showing off her bare feet. A sign, no doubt, of her heritage. Bast leaned down, picking up the papers in question and handing the to him as her bracelets gave off a small noise. Something was wrong with these notes. She dared a glance down, noting the ingredients with an expert eye.
Her stare said all the words she wouldn't, why would this boy be in the possession of such a powerful magic. No one was to summon the dead, it was an idiots mind who would attempt such a deadly feat. Even the smallest miscalculation could mean death, or worse. Never mind the fact when summoning the spirit one was never to know the intent nor the nature it might have. A correct summoning would take weeks of preparation, and the spirit one was trying to resurrect.

Kurt snatched his notebook back, the womans stare not bothering him a bit. He turned his back to her, walking off. He shoved his notebook back into his bad after rereading it quickly. He looked down at his feet, thinking that this may take a while. But it would be well worth it if he got the answers to his burning questions. Nothing could stop him at this point. He was willing to go to the ends of the earth to do this, as long as he got his answers. He looked around and the hundreds -possibly thousands- of 'people', wondering if they really were dead, like the girl at school the first day had suggested. They did seem to have a ghostly look to them, but he still didnt believe they were dead. A couple of people in particular stood out to him, but they otherwise all looked the same. Was the girl right about his 'people' being dead?

Kurt made his way through the woods, gathering this and that as it appeared on his list. A few things he knew he would have to go out of his way for, such as underwater and in a cavern, but he was otherwise doing good with the collection. He tucked them as he collected them into a sack, wandering around absentmindedly, his mind on other things. He smiled occasionally, then forced himself back into reality.
A girl had caught his eye on the way to the woods. She had long, blonde hair with multicolored stripes in her hair. She wore no shirt, and her skin was bruised and bleeding. But when he reached out to help her, she disapeared. He wondered vaugely why she would be hanging around the hospital, of all places. It may have cured her if she went inside, but it was as if she were waiting for someone. Someone who had hurt her. She didnt have a cruel look on her face, but a sad one.
He had walked past where she had been standing, realizing that his people were probably ghosts, as Bexi had suggested.

The next day, after he had gathered all his things and made his way back to the dorm, he pulled out his book, setting it on the desk as he turned to the dogeared page. It told him detail by detail how to bring them back with the things he had gathered. But it also warned it should be done in an open feild. Kurt couldnt think of one, then remembered a small clearing in the woods. Hopefully that would work.
So he packed his things and the book and made his way to the clearing, passing the same girl standing beneath the awning at the hospital. She still looked sad, and she was all he could think about on his way to the clearing. Maybe he could bring her back. She might like that. Would she be healed and okay?
He didnt know, but he sat in the middle of the circle, dumping his things onto the ground and opening the book. Soon he was started, his things crushed and ready to be mixed. He combined them as was stated in the book, wondering who -if anybody- it would bring back.
With steady hands, he added the last ingrediant, then watched it begin to smoke.
"Gods debesîs, mçs lûdzam, lai jûs atkal ðis gars, lai tas viss vçlreiz." He spoke clearly and confidently, glad for the six years of foreign language he had taken, then watched as a girl appeared in front of him. It wasnt who he wanted, but it was someone. She looked fine, looked okay. And she was in one, human piece. She looked alive, as if she had never been dead in the first place.
"Who are you and why arent you the girl I wanted to bring back?" He asked her, a bit afraid of her. He saw a ghostly shadow behind her, someone she loved, possibly? He shrugged it off, assuming it was a squirrel.
He wondered vaugely what Zane was doing, then pushed the thought from his head, concentrating on the girl in front of him. Was she important here, at this school? Was she killed in this clearing? And most of all, why wasnt she the sad, lonely girl he felt so bad for?
He stood, raising an eyebrow at her, his teeth bared down into his lip. He reached out and touched her shoulder. She was alive, that was for sure.

Something was moving in the darkness, something bad. Something even she couldn’t figure out it’s intent. Everything was moving slowly, the living world flickering like a damaged black and white film. But that was okay, even as she knew she was dead, she saw her friends. Saw her roommate fall in love. Besides all that, a constant figure remained at her side.
Something grabbed her from the darkness, pulling her away from the only thing she cared about. What was this? Where was this voice coming from? Her world shifted, pain grew from every center of her body. Bones snapped into place, muscles and tissue regrew themselves at alarming rates. Her heart jumped out of her chest, pulling itself together to beat. One, two, three..
Her brain moved in a fog, slowly transferring information into her brain. Where was she? Why was there color? Where was Melville? She breathed in, lungs throwing a fit for an action they had not done in ages. One thing stood out to her now, something she had not seen in ages. A human, a boy, was talking to her like she was alive. Was she? A hand flew to her face, fingers touching the once familiar features.
Why was she brought back, alone? Who was this guy? Why was he talking to her? So many questions ran through her mind, none of which seemed like the ones she was looking for. All she wanted was to go back to being dead. But no, this jerk had brought her away from her only love. Was it too much to ask to just be left alone?
She grimaced, words trying to form around her fuzzy brain. Something was familiar about this place. The she realized; this is where they died. No wonder she didn’t recognize it without the rain. How long ago had it been that sunlight had hit her face? How long since she’d felt anything against her skin? The months had seemed like years, no markers to show time. Just a vast emptiness, the only movement was what was out there. Watching. Waiting. Devouring.
A spark of something (hope perhaps?) flashed across her face. Maybe this wouldn’t be so bad, maybe it would be a good thing. Once she brought Melville back of course. Nothing would ever be okay without Melville, nothing would be as sweet without him by her side. Not even life could compare with him. Mayu gave a weak smile, turning to face the sun for the first time since she died.
“I’m baaack.”

Kurt glared at her, gritting his teeth. He had brough her back -she wasnt even the person he had intended to bring back to life!- and she was ungrateful.
"Ungrateful wench. Ill put you back in the fucking ground!" He growled, slamming his book closed before storming off. He shoved the book back in his bag, along with his notebook. He had did something he knew he wasnt supposed to, something that was probably banned, and the girl wasnt even grateful.
"Bitch." He mumbled, wiping the sweat from his forehead. He wanted to wring her neck, take back from her what he had given. He was cold, suddenly. And not knowing whether it was this girls lover or the girl he had wanted to bring back, he glared into the air.
"If youre that girl, Im sorry. She must have died here. And if youre her lover, then sorry, man. You can HAVE her back. Believe me.." He snarled before making his way out of the clearing.

Mayu froze, staring at his back. Wait. What was he going on about? She turned behind herself, gasping at the sight of her dead lover. How could she see him? She took off after the growling boy. "What is going on?! Why can I touch you?" she reached out, intending to touch him but reeling back as an electric shock went through her. What the hell was going on?
Suddenly, out of no where, she burst into tears. Why did she have to be back alone? Nothing was making sense right now. She was supposed to be dead no back in her living and breathing shell of a body.

Kurt spun around to meet her, the chill still surrounding him.
"It wasnt YOU that was supposed to be back, wench! It was that other girl, the one who was hurt! You want to be dead, you want to be with whoever this THING is that wont stop following me! But Im cold, Im sweating, and IM GOING HOME! Ungrateful, good for nothing, female." He snapped, turning back around, the cold still not leaving, even as he swerved through the trees.
"GO AWAY!" He screamed at the ghost. "I DONT WANT HER! IM PERFECTLY HAPPY WITH SOMEONE WHO MAY NOT EVEN WANT ME! YOU WANT HER BACK? TAKE HER! TAKE HER AWAY! SHE WANTS TO BE WITH YOU ANYWAYS!"

It stung, his words were like tiny barbs buried deep within her flesh. Why was he yelling? Who was it that convinced him to bring back a person? Where was the sacrifice? "Who did you mean?" she tried again, reaching out for him. The shock was still there, but maybe it was just her mind adjusting to the new shell. Too many things were confusing him, too much was jumbled together. No one should have been able to bring back a human without a sacrifice. Something was sure to go wrong.
Right?

Kurt looked at her, pushing her hand away.
"Look. You dont owe me anything. You wanna be dead? Thats fine with me. Go commit suicide or something. All I did was waste my fucking time on you." He growled, narrowing his eyes. He crossed his arms, waiting for her reaction. Why was she following him anyways? Its not like he meant anything. Its not like he would ever mean anything. Especially to this girl.
And besides. What she didnt know he knew wouldnt hurt her.

She stumbled, energy levels instantly plummeting to the ground. Mayu grasped out at the air, hoping to catch herself before she did a face plant. "Ow.." she mumbled, rubbing at her eyes with a numbed hand. Then she startled, she had managed an action without thinking. That was great, right? "I'm Mayu.." she said suddenly, looking up at the guy who had helped her.

Kurt smirked down at the girl. "And Ill be your worst fucking enemy, baby, if you dont get the HELL AWAY FROM ME!" He screamed at her, his throar going raw. This girl was really getting on his nerves. And he didnt like it. He bent down, leaning over her.
"Youre the most pathetic, good for nothing, ungrateful, stupid, HORRIFIC EXCUSE FOR A HUMAN BEING I HAVE EVER SEEN!" He growled, straightening up. "I cant believe I risked my own life for YOU! And I thought I was trash.."
He turned away from her. Wondering vaugley if she would follow him.
You can raise a person from the ground, but that doesnt mean theyll give you any respect, or even notice you, now does it?
