Braxton shook his head, feeling even worse now.
"No. He died without her.." He whispered, looking over at his brother. It shouldnt be his brother lying there, so cold and lifeless. It shouldnt.
And whoever did this deserved to die too. Because he didnt just take one life. He took two.
"T-the minute the knife touched his arm, he knew they were over.. And from what I know, they never got back together.. So maybe them being burried together isnt such a good idea.."

Kit looked away, processing the words slowly. Why had no one thought of this, why had this happened? He pulled away from Braxton, lost in his own world as he sat and thought. "But..." he closed his eyes, shaking his head, and then looked up at Braxton, "But she died for him, didn't she? She committed suicide for him, she was there when he died.. That's what I heard anyway," he reasoned, looking around.
"Why would you die for someone you didn't even hav-..." he trailed off his sentence, looking down, understanding why you would do it now that it was spoken aloud. [/blockquote]

Braxton looked at Kit, wondering what he would have said.
"Maybe she really did love him, Kit. I know Brendan loved her. With all his heart. Theres nothing he wouldnt have given to make Diane happy. And I dont think she realized that."
Their relationship seemed so foreign to Braxton, who had never really loved anyone. He hadnt even spoken to his boyfriend in months. Not after that guy had tried to rape him, at least. Braxton thought he had switched schools, switched dorms.. Went somewhere else.
The whole concept of love was mind boggling to Braxton. He would never be loved..

Kit nodded, looking to the two caskets, looking at each one in turn. Both filled him with dread and fear, but for two different reasons. Watching Diane's corpse, he almost expected her to lift back up, strike out again. He lowered his head, knowing how foolish it was.
"He saved her from herself, didn't he?" he reminded Braxton, "When she was possessed, he brought her back. That's gotta count for something." he said, looking around the room. He wondered what these people would do if they knew what their beloved Diane had done to him. "I tried... and I thought it was impossible, but Brendan managed. I guess she must have cared." Braxton nodded. Sure, he had saved her. But it wasnt really that big a deal. Brendan did it for Diane, he wanted to help her. Even though he knew what she had done, the people she had killed. But he didnt hold that against Diane herself. He held it against the demon, against Antosha, against everyone else. But he didnt hold it against Diane.
"Did she hurt you too? Like that boy tried to hurt me?" He asked, looking over at Kit.

Kit looked away, looked down at his hands, at the caskets, anything but at Braxton's eyes. "Please..." he said slowly, his eyes moving rapidly across each part of the room. "Please, don't let me answer that when we're burying her today." He was told never to speak ill of the dead, a rule he held close to his heart, even when the dead where exceptionally guilty. At least not at the funeral. Funerals were times when you were meant to forget that they ever did any sins, to think of them as perfect angels before they faded from your memories.
He didn't want to admit that he was glad she'd died in a part of his soul that horrified him. He was glad he was getting closure, that he didn't have to worry that she would come after him again. But he hated himself for it. [/blockquote]

Braxton just couldnt shake this feeling that Diane wasnt loyal to Brendan. Even from the get go. He couldnt shake the feeling that his brother had taken her once, yet she had given herself to another and another.. He couldnt shake the feeling that his brother had been betrayed, and Brendan still thought of her as a goddess.
And to think, Braxton had kept it all bottled up, afraid if he told Brendan, it might kill him.
Well, he didnt tell him. And look at him now. Dead. And still in love with a girl who didnt truly love him back.
"I just think theres something wrong about all this. I want Brendans body with our daddy. I dont want it with her." He whispered to Kit, everything about their relationship seeming to be a pack of lies.

Kit nodded to himself, looking down. It didn't seem alright at all, like they were shoved away while everyone cried over the wrong person, over the monster which had hurt him. He tightened his hands. "I think so too..." he said slowly, looking back at Braxton, and then looked down. "But there's nothing we can do now. We'll get it sorted at the end..." he said, looking down. How had they been lead onto such simple mistakes? The funeral had been made so quickly no one had even bothered to check the simplest things.
"What would Brendan have wanted, though..?" he thought to himself, remembering him screaming out against Diane. But they always said that love and hate were so close. [/blockquote]

"He would want to be with his father. Not the girl who never loved him." He said, standing up and walking to the teacher who had talked to him.
"I have a question.." He whispered to him, sitting down beside the teacher. He looked at Kit, then back at the teacher.

Robert looked over at the boy, wondering what he could possibly have to ask.
"Sure. Anything. Whats on your mind?" He asked, looking over at the boy he was sitting with. He wondered vaugley if they were together, then pushed the thought away. It was their business. Not his.
He looked back at Braxton, feeling terrible for the boy.

Braxton lowered his voice, looking down at his hands folded in his lap. He noticed the boy Diane loved, and his blood began to boil all over again. Why couldnt his brother have seen this?! Even Braxton could see they were in love, that they were sleeping together.
"Brendan would have wanted to be burried with our father. Do you know who I can talk to to get that arranged?" He asked him, not sure if he would know or not. But as Dianes side began filling up with people and Brendans remained bare, Braxton thought it was worth a shot. Even if it was a shot in the dark.
He didnt want his brother burried with this girl. And if Braxton had a say so in this, his brothers body would be carried out right now and they would have a ceremony back home. With just Braxton, his only family.

Robert didnt know anything about rearranging a burrial, but he would see what he could do.
"I dont know who you could talk to, but Im going to talk to the owner of the funeral home. And Ill try and get this sorted back out. Now you go get back to your friend. And Ill see what I can get done." He stood, brushing past the boy as he wandered off, talking to the elderly woman who owned the place.

Kit looked at Braxton with shock, and sudden admiration. "T-thanks..." he said slowly, "I don't think I would have ever been able to do that, not with all this already done..." he said slowly, giving him a small smile, and looking down. "I-if this gets rearranged, I don't suppose I could come, could I?" he asked, feeling that whether it was at this 'fake' funeral or at the true one, he would need to say a final goodbye. Braxton watched as four men in tuxedos came out, closing his brothers casket and carrying him out. Braxton stood, nodding his thanks to the teacher. He watched them turn the corner, then dissapear.
"You coming?" He asked Kit, looking down at him. He held his hand out, watching the shocked looks on everyones faces.
Diane didnt deserve to have Brendan. His father did.
He didnt care what anyone thought, what anyone said. Brendan was going home, where he belonged.

Kurt stood, watching them take the boy away.
"Hey! Brax!" He ran up to him, watching the casket go.
"Dude. Whats up? Where are they taking your brother?" He said, following Braxton closely. Something was wrong, he knew it.
And Brendan wasnt very surprised.
Kurt saw him following his brother. Why he was still on Earth, he didnt know. He expected him and Diane to be together, somewhere. Even if they were dead.
"Braxton. Braxton, Brendans still here.. I mean.. Hes.. A ghost. But hes still here.." He whispered. "Braxton, whats wrong? Whys he still here?"
