Braxton was tired and jetlagged from taking a plane back home. He knew he could teleport, but he really didnt trust it. What if he ended up in the middle of nowhere?
Braxton walked out of his hotel room, his tuxedo nice and pressed on his thin frame. He walked down the hall, knocking on the hotel room which belonged to Kurt. He fumbled with his dark red tie, his brothers favortie color.
He smiled as Kurt opened the door, wearing nothing but a towel.
"Hey. Do you know if Kit came?" He asked him, smiling as Kurt made a puddle on the floor.

Kurt smiled, stepping aside to let Braxton in. It was uncanny how much the twins looked alike. He knew twins looked simialr, but there wasnt a diffrence between the two. Well, other than Braxtons snakebites.
"Yeah. I think hes in three-oh.. something. Three-oh-four? I dunno. I gave him my number and he called me. But I was half asleep. You know me. I dont pay attention when Im sleepy. Well, you might not know. But Zane does. I kinda wish he had come.. I get lonely. But.. Well, I dont think Brendan would have appreciated someone he didnt know here.. I still miss him though." He rambled on, pulling on a pair of boxers.
"So everythings today?" He asked, pulling on his tuxedo pants. He buttoned them, then zipped them up.
"I hate monkey suits.." He said with a smile.

Braxton looked away as Kurt started getting dressed.
"Yeah. Everythings today. You know, it wouldnt have mattered if Zane came. Brendan could have had his pall bearers." He smiled at Kurt. "Id hate for you to get lonely. I get lonely sometimes too. I have no idea where Mats at.. Hes probably run off somewhere. You know what pisses me off about everything? The fact that Diane cheated on Brendan, and no one cares. They just pat her on the back and say 'Oh. Well she made a mistake.' You know Brendan got to take her one time?! ONCE? And then she did God knows what to poor Kit, and THEN she laid that Antosa guy before she died. All those men, and she couldnt even apologize for it. She didnt even admit to doing anything. Brendan should have left. Its her fault hes dead. HERS! That bitch got to sleep around with every swinging dick in the school, and my brother stayed loyal to her."
Brendan reached into his pocket, pulling out the wedding band. He handed it to Kurt, who looked at it thoughtfully.

Kurt felt awful about everything. There was nothing he could do to bring the poor boy back. And nothing he could say to make the fact that Diane cheated on Brendan any easier for Braxton.
"You know.." He said, toying with the ring, his mind on Zane. "Brendans restless. He should be with his girlfr- erm.. Diane.. But hes still here. Well, his spirit is. Something happened. Something bad. He said he stuck around to tell you and Kit goodbye, but I dont think thats whats up. He would have told you guys goodbye, but.. Hes still here. Was he seriously gonna marry this girl?"
He looked over helplessly at Braxton, wishing he had something to say to make things better.
"Braxton, he was in love with her. And theres nothing -NOTHING- that we can do to change that. Diane has to fix this. Hes still in love with her, Braxton. And after figuring everything out yesterday, that she wasnt loyal to him, that all her 'I love you's were lies, he cant go back. Hes still in love with her.. And Diane probably doesnt even care enough to fix it."
'She doesnt..' Came the small whisper, Brendan sitting on the bed. 'Her boyfriend kissed her. At the funeral. He kissed her. In front of everyone. Her boyfriend.. kissed her dead body.'
The temperature dropped in the room, and Kurt started shivering.
'Kurt, I dont think she ever loved me..'

Braxton started shivering.
"I know he still loves her.." He said, turning and leaving the shirtless Kurt in his room.
"Kurt?" He turned back around, his hand on the door. "Tell Brendan its going to be okay.. And I.. Ill see him soon."
And with that, he walked out of the door and down to the lobby desk.
"How can I help you, sir?" asked a cheery girl.
"Yes.. Can you tell me what room Kit Livingston is staying in?" He asked.
"Yes. Three-oh-six." She said with a smile.
Braxton walked back up to the third floor, knocking on Kits door.
"Kit?" He whispered.

Kit looked down, twisting the black tie in his hands. He wasn't particularly in a good mood, but he was at least starting to become relaxed. Things were sorting themselves out, like someone had chucked the pieces in the air and the patterns had all become clear, ready for them to put right.
He heard the knock on the door, his hands full as he was half-way through the tie. It had been so long since he'd ever worn one that he'd forgotten how to do it. "Come in... Its open" he called loudly.
Kit was dressed well. He was dressed entirely in a black suit, including a black shirt and the black jacket which was still hanging from his chair smartly. Something in his mind had told him that he not only wanted to look the part for the funeral, but he wanted to not have one bit of white on him unlike the common enemy of the last funeral had had. Braxton laughed a bit, watching Kit struggle with the tie.
"Need some help with that, man?" He asked, walking into the room and closing the door. Something about that seemed final, seemed.. well, cold. And unusal. It had been awhile since hed been closed in a room alone with a boy. Even when he was with Kurt, he had left a crack in the door.
"Uhh.." He mumbled, walking to the door and leaving a crack in it, wondering it Kit felt as uncomfortable as Braxton did.
"Do you wanna go get some breakfast, Kit? My treat.." He asked, trying to break the thick ice that always seemed to linger around them when they were together. Braxton wondered if it was because Kit had been close to Brendan. He didnt know, but it seemed odd. He didnt want to be uncomfortable around Kit. He wanted to be friends. Kit was -after all- pretty much the only thing he had left of his brother. That and his guitar and the ring. But the ring would be going back to their father.

Kit smiled and half-laughed at his attempt to make the tie, the air seeming to relax a little if they concentrated on that. "I think I've just about got it, thanks..." he said as he tightened up a surprisingly neat looking tie. He walked over to the mirror, smiling at it, though his eyes still had a hint of sadness that refused to go away.
He turned back to Braxton. It was clear that he was less than comfortable, but though Kit didn't feel the same way he could completely understand why. There weren't many more uncomfortable situations in the world than that. "Sounds great." Kit said with a warm smile, picking up his black jacket and throwing it over his shoulders. His hands were already shaking, and he hoped that it was simply from lack of energy. [/blockquote]

Braxton held open the door for Kit, then lead him to Kurts room, knocking on the door then walking in. And it didnt really surprise him Kurt was still shirtless and talking to thin air.
"You dont wear clothes much, do you?" He asked with a laugh, sitting in one of the chairs. He motioned for Kit to come over, to come wait with him while Kurt finished getting dressed.

Kurt smiled, shaking his head.
"Naw. Clothes arent really my thing. This bodys too sexy to cover up, you know?" He joked, trying to make Kit laugh. He pulled on the grey button-down shirt, buttoning it slowly before tucking it into his black slacks. He pulled on his jacket, then began putting in his piercings.
"I wouldnt say it was that bad, Bren. You seemed really happy with her. And Im glad you felt so comfortable around someone. I know I dont seem to adjust to people too easily. But yeah. I know what its like to fall hard for someone. I fell pretty hard with Zane.. I mean, I dont wanna get my hopes sky high, or anything. But Im not gonna latch onto him or anything. Hes free to leave at any second, and he knows that. I just hope he doesnt.." He told Brendan, slipping the tie around his neck.
'I just wish she would have realized how much I really love her.. I still do. I dont think Ill ever stop. Kurt, please tell me you tell Zane how much you love him.. Dont let this happen to you..' Brendan whispered.
"Naw. Im not gonna tell him that.. Itll just scare him off, you know? I dont think hes the type to jump into things too quick. So Im just gonna ride it out. For him." Kurt said with a smiled, turning to Braxton. "We going to breakfast?"

Kit gave a small smile, finding the humour in Kurt's words a small comfort as he leant against the wall, folding his arms as he listened calmly to Kurt and Brendan's conversation. Well, Kurt's end of it, anyway. He wondered vaguely what Brendan was saying, wondering what he was thinking. "Breakfast sounds good." he said, trying desperately to keep out of their conversation in case he and the topic of Zeke were dragged into it, and that was just something he didn't want to think about right now.
"Say, how long is Brendan staying around anyway?" he asked, not wanting to sound like he wanted Brendan away but it certainly was hard to grieve someone while they were watching you.

Kurt laughed a bit. Kit wanted to be rid of him, eh?
"Well, I dont think hes going anywhere until he calms down. Soo.. I guess Braxtons the only one to judge that, eh? Hes pretty hurt. I dont think Ive ever seen him worse off, but you know.. I only saw him a few times around school, you know?" He pulled on his jacket, then sat down, tying his shoes.

Kit shook his head, little humour in his actions anymore. "If that's the case, then its not a good move..." he said slowly. "Remember what Ms Mirr-Uh, Jackson said in Necromancy last year? The longer the spirit is down here, the more twisted they become, and the more their negative emotions control them..." he said. He didn't want to seem down-heartening, but he did want to be realistic here.
He pulled himself off the wall, looking away since he didn't know where to look to look at Brendan. "So basically... its get over it now or never..." he said uncomfortably. He looked back to Kurt, their translator, "Isn't there anything we can do to speed it up? Anyone for him to talk to?" [/blockquote]

Kurt smirked, the question seeming more hilarious than any joke he had ever heard.
"Man? You seriously just asked that?" He laughed, standing up. "Theres only two people to fix this. One LAID Diane, kissed her dead body at a funeral, and told everyone HE was the one that loved her. The one that Diane has ALWAYS been in love with. I dont know any nice way to put this, but she NEVER loved Brendan. She thought she did. She still loved her fuck-buddy. And then theres Diane. And shes dead."
He snorted, walking to the dresser. He wondered if he should wear eyeliner..
"Even I can tell you she never loved him. I dont have to hear it from her, him, or you. The girl still loved him when she met Brendan. She still loved him when she died."

Kit looked down and turned away, muttering "Yeah, 'suppose..." under his breath. He knew fine well that either of those people would probably just make Brendan angrier. But maybe the anger would be more healing than whatever twisted limbo he was in at that time.
"If he needs to see Diane, hasn't she already moved on? And if not, then it'd be a good place to go then surely..." he said slowly, looking away, "I'm not saying this because I want him gone, I'm just worried OK? If Brendan keeps in this plane then he's going to change, and pretty soon he'll end up being no better than the demon that raped me!" he said, then his eyes widened. He'd actually said it, actually said it aloud. He was both shocked and appauled at himself, wanting to leave the room quickly, but desperate to see this through. [/blockquote]
