Ant looked up at her, trying to grab her to kiss her. "I want you back. Let me fix it! Please... I want US to be together.... I don't... I didn't.." his voice trailed off, no longer able to continue. He was trying so hard to hold onto her, but his hands just went right through her body. It was stupid, futile, to cling to a ghost who no longer loved him. "I can protect you.... Let me bring you back..." he begged, almost pleading as he grabbed the headstone behind her, trying to pin her down. "Tell me you don't hate me now..."

Diane looked at him, the appearance of her body shaking, but unlike a shiver it was as if someone had taken the picture of her in front of him and shook it around. "Antosha..." she said slowly, her eyes looking like she was going to cry if she only could. She put her hand against his cheek again, the tingling feeling returning to him. "I don't hate you, I don't. I love you, and I always will," she told him. "And I will always love Brendan...." she said, the words tearing her apart.
She closed her eyes tightly, "Brendan is the sort of love that... that you want to take home with you, to grow old together. You... you're the sort of love that I want right now. I don't want a future, I don't want a past, I just want you at this very moment, every moment," she said, her voice trembling. "You always owned me, Antosha... And Brendan always had me... I don't know which is better."

Ant growled shaking his head at her. "I knew it, I KNEW it!" he stared at her, trying to look into her eyes. "That isn't love, De... That's called lust.." he said softly, wanting to reach out and touch while knowing it was impossible. "You... You should just go back to the guy you love, because obviously I'll never be good enough.." he said, wishing he didn't have to feel like his heart was stopping. He stood up slowly, shaking as he tried to make her understand. "I'm the guy you want to have sex with. Not the guy you want to date... Not the guy you want around.. So just leave me. It hurts less to think you actually loved me when you died. So I'm going to pretend none of this ever happened..."

If Diane didn't look like she was crying without tears, she certainly did now. She stood up quickly, scrambling to her feet as she came close to him. She was unable to touch him, to move his head close to hers, and so she lifted her body so that she was level eye-to-eye with him. "No, Antosha," she said, her words firm, "You are the man who I stood by and held while you cried for someone else. You are the man that broke my heart and still kept it beating for you. You are the man who is my best friend." she put her hands on both sides of his cheek, going as close to him as she dared. "I could never kiss you again, never hold you again, and if you said that you loved me I would be happy."
She looked at him. Why was she fighting for his love? Surely it would have been easier to forget, to quit him and stay with Brendan, save Brendan from himself and live a happily ever after with Brendan. She looked down, "I-I always loved you the most, Antosha..." she said so softly it was barely heard, "It was just Brendan was the one I wanted to love the most..."

Ant closed his eyes quickly, trying to suppress his thoughts from turning dirty. "Diane, even if your dead... You really can't be this close to me..." he whispered, biting down on his lip. "Will you be able to come back soon? Just for me... Even if you don't want to see anyone... I really, really want you here..." he opened his eyes slowly, heart beating faster then ever as he looked into her eyes. "You should have called me, Diane... You know I would have stopped the heartache.." he offered a tiny smile. "I did well enough the first night, didn't I?"

Diane had to look away, closing her eyes. "I..." she was afraid of breaking his heart again. "I knew that I was going to die...." she said slowly, holding onto her hands. "I knew my heart was weak, I knew that it would happen and I didn't want to scare you," she said, looking up to him. She didn't say that she also didn't want to feel like she was dancing on her fiance's grave.
"Antosha..." she said slowly, then she pulled away, her body going straight through Antosha and giving him a burst of the tiny tingling sensations all over his body, though that wasn't the intention. She stepped back, holding out her arms. "Look at me, Antosha. I've been on this plane only a few hours and I'm already a strong enough spirit to rival most demons. I was already a half-caste demon before I died, thanks to my last possession. If I stay much longer, then I-I won't be Diane anymore..." she said, her voice shaking and her heart breaking.

Ant growled softly, trying to wrap his arms around her. Trying to stop her from going insane with his touch. "Then let me help you... Please, let me save you.. I can... We can get Grace.. Please Diane, I can't lose you.." he looked into her eyes, still growling softly. "Would it help to take my body for a bit? Or be my spirit guide until we can get you help...?" he was trying to come up with anything, everything, to save her. Hell fucking no would he lose her to the dead. GRACE! he screamed into her mind, not caring if it was one in the morning. GRACE!!!! he growled again, slowly turning back into an animal so he could contact her easier. GRACE GET YOUR LAZY ASS UP he hissed, growling at the thin air from the effort this was taking. If you need my body, hurry up and take it.. he said to Diane, his eyes filled with concern for her. Just remember to keep my heart beating!

Diane looked down, putting her arms around herself. "I shouldn't have come... I-I'm sorry, Antosha... I shouldn't have come..." she said under her breath, feeling her image fading, finding it hard to keep the willpower to stay. "Antosha, I'm dead, you have to believe that, you have to understand that. Even as you see me, I'm not here. I know it will hurt, but you have to be strong... I'm already gone, Antosha."
She turned away, unable to bare it any longer. Already she could feel it, the obsession, the madness creeping in. She wanted to run, to save the one she loved, but she could feel his warmth, his life and it was driving her insane. He was like a oasis in a vast desert, and she knew that she would have to leave him, but she couldn't bare it, couldn't pull herself away. "Please..." she begged him, terrified that she would hurt him.

Antosha growled at her, refusing to give up until there was no hope. Take it... Take my body. If your not here then I don't want it. he hissed at her, turning back into a human so it would be easier to take over. "You want to, even I can tell it. It's all over your face. You want life back. Take. My. Body. I know it's not perfect but it'll work! Please, Diane. I can keep you sane." he stared up at her, taking a seat on her grave to wait for her. If he couldn't do anything else he might as well make himself useful.

Diane closed her eyes tightly. Antosha didn't understand, couldn't understand what he was doing to her. It was like dangling alcohol in front of a recovering alcoholic, like giving sugar to a diabetic. "Please..." she turned away trying to walk away from him, but couldn't get too far.
She turned back, her eyes suddenly clear as she pounced forwards, running up to him with no signs of stopping. She ran up to him, coming to a sudden stop as her lips pressed against his. Her eyes were closed tightly, her body still air but starting to grow in density as she pressed her lips against his, drawing out his energy piece by piece. She was a cloud, gripped together and still unable to hold but somehow able to move in the wind.
It was dangerous, she was killing him, but she couldn't help herself. Every moment tore her apart, as she drew closer to a feeling to save Antosha and closer to the blessed temptation which would take his life.

Ant kept his eyes shut, not caring if he died. He could feel her, feel her lips against his and that was all he needed to know. Death didn't seem so scary while she was here. "I love you..." the words were hard to speak around her lips but somehow he managed. He pressed closer, desperately reaching out to the dead girl. He'd let her have his life, not caring as he slipped further into the dark place, slowly slipping to the ground as he lost consciousness. Hoping desperately he would never have to wake up again, praying to the gods she would wait for him on the other side.

Diane's form solidified even more, now more like water than gas as she started coming closer to her senses.
I love you...
The words rang through her mind, fighting off the layers of insanity as she realised that Antosha's body was falling. Suddenly, her eyes burst open, her liquidy body taking a huge step back. Her eyes were wide, her body cold as she knelt down beside him, wanting to catch his fall but being completely helpless. "ANTOSHA!" she screamed, quickly by his side, running cold, watery hands through his hair and pressing her lips against it. She looked down at herself. She was not human, for which she could only assume that she hadn't completed it, and that Antosha still was alive. She couldn't feel him in her world, but she could feel a gateway between her world and his close. "Antosha, please, please I'm so sorry... come back... you don't want to be here, you don't!" Ant shook his head, trying to grab her watery hand in his own. "Take it all... Please baby... Take everything I have.." he mumbled, still moving around faintly. He wanted it to be over, wanted her back by his side, even if they only had a second to talk before he died. "I don't want it without you..." he closed his eyes again, hopping she would finish it. To save herself from going mad. Nothing could be more important then her life, none of it. "Unless you kill a stranger..."

Diane put her arms around Antosha, resting her head softly against him, trying desperately not to damage her frail form but stay close to him. "Antosha, it won't save me..." she said softly, "Not forever, not even for a while... If anything... If anything I'll know I killed you, I'll be a monster. It'll-I can't..." she said, flesh coloured tears running down her face like lines of paint.
She shook her head, closing her eyes, "I didn't mean to do that... I don't mean to hurt you... But I can see it, I can feel it... this life, this constant craving..." she said, holding onto her wrists tightly and digging in her fingernails, hoping to create some pain in her unfeeling state to distract her from the obsession.
"Why do you get to live? Why can't I? Why can't I live?" she demanded suddenly, her eyes flaring with a bright red flame, her voice sounding very little like her own.

Ant left her there, gently stroking her hair. Pretending she were human for the time being. "Let me bring you back! Mayu did it, Mel did it! I can do it... Please baby... This is making you sick.." he didn't flinch at her voice, knowing it wasn't her. Only a demon in her mind. He dung his nails into the earth under him, knowing her body lay only a few feet away. "We can go to Grace, force her to bring you back... Anything to make my baby feel better." he looked up at her, hopping she could here him. "I love you too much to let you go through this."
