"Can't pay for...?" Bexi breathed, frowning before she remembered. Things would be harder for Shaun than she'd even realised. Her life had always been so much easier in her country than she realised, as she forgot that American's had to pay for every medical bill. The very idea of having to pay for health offended Bexi completely.
She walked over to Shaun, refusing to let her stand for this. "If you don't let me help you, at least let me help the kid," she told her, following her step for step. "My mum and dad earn a lot of money, and would be more than willing to help with it all. You should think about it, at least. Babies don't do so well living on the streets," she said, shaking her head. "Medicine's come a long way. A few years before I was born, I wouldn't have survived past I was... well, I'd be dead before I could crawl. And every year they're giving me a higher death-by date; It was ten when I was five, now its somewhere around 25, which isn't too bad considering," she said, giving Shaun a smile. "You'll be fine." she assured her. [/blockquote]

Shaun shook her head. She could do this on her own.
"Bexi, just stop. I dont want your money. I dont want your pity. All I asked for was to be loved, and I didnt even get that. So just stop. I dont wanna hear your complaints, or your offers to help. Please. Just go." She said, turning away and walking off to the dorm.

Bexi looked at the girl, unable to believe what she was hearing. "Shaun..." she said slowly, staring at her as she slowed down her walking and let Shaun get in front. "Shaun, you are being hormonal," she said. Did pregnancy really act that fast? She guessed not, assuming it was just the general mass of hormones from being a teenager. She knew that once upon a time she'd been in a similar place. "Shaun, we have barely had three conversations. I don't know your last name, don't know anything about you, and you barely know anything about me. You think you're heartbroken? You expect me to love you after ten minutes? You're at least three years younger than me! Not to mention that I can't exactly have anything other than friendship with someone...." she said, her head spinning completely over everything that was being said and done.
She pulled away, putting her head on her hand. She didn't want it to sound so horrible, but she was finding it frightening just how quickly this girl was becoming attached to her - that sort of quick attraction could only be lust, and lust was one thing Bexi couldn't deal with. She needed to learn that love wasn't that easy, that hearts broke, and if she couldn't deal with a week-long schoolgirl crush coming up with a dead end, how could she deal with anything? "Shaun, I'm not trying to be cruel, I'm just telling you the facts. You want to love me? Be my friend, be my family, because that's all I could ever understand." [/blockquote]

Shaun shook her head. She would be here for eight -nine months, if she was lucky- and Bexi wanted to go slow?
"Bexi, Ill be GONE in a few months. You are the ONLY person Ive ever felt ANYTHING for, and youre gonna stand here and tell me 'oh, well I dont know you'? I dont even know me! I just figured out Im a triplet, that Garton might not even be my last name, that IM HAVING A BABY! Because of some stupid guys whim. I dont have a family, I have an aunt and uncle who BEAT me for being color blind, who tortured me for not being able to see color! And here I thought you would be diffrent. That you would accept me. Lester doesnt even know me, and hes buying crap for a baby that is his BOYFRIENDS! Youre complaining about having six years to live? I might only have nine. Months. If that. Im having a baby, bringing a baby into this world BY. MY. SELF. Because when I looked to you to help me, you complain you dont know me. Dont try and make this any better than it is. Because its not. Youre just like everyone else." She started sobbing, leaning against the tree.
"I begged Lester to keep him away from you, to keep you safe. I begged him, Bexi. Because I think I love you. I talked for hours with Lester on the phone about you.. Because I cant talk to you. It always gets twisted around into something else. You dont want me? Fine. Dont try and help my baby, either." She wrapped her arms around her stomach protectively, as if Bexi could take it.
"I fell for a girl I dont even know." She whispered to herself, sinking down to her knees.

Bexi looked at her, not really feeling anger but simply blind confusion. What had happened to make her flip so completely, and why did it have to be about her? "Shaun..." she said slowly, putting her hands out in front of her, as a police officer would to stop someone jumping off a building. "Shaun, just listen to yourself, OK?" she said, her words slow. "Take a deep breath, and think about what you're saying."
Of course, Bexi could say what she was thinking; this girl was a crazy stalker who had an unhealthy obsession with something she couldn't have. It wasn't complimenting to be so instantly someone else's entire world - it was just disturbing. But she put it down to immaturity, hormones and stress from the entire world of problems. One girl comes along and is nice to her while the world has been nothing but cruel her entire life, it was easy to see how she'd quickly latch onto Bexi, though Bexi was probably the last person she wanted to risk this with.
She wanted to scream at her, scream every problem going through her mind. And there were a lot. But she couldn't break down, not that easily.
"Shaun, you're not going to die, OK? We have medicine, and we have magic. And even if you die, people in this school have a habit of not staying dead for very long. I want to help you, Shaun. People don't have to be in love to want to help other people, all right? There doesn't have to be a relationship for people to just talk. You're infatuated, and frustrated. I understand that, but- this isn't the end of the world." [/blockquote]

"Screw you." Shaun said with tears in her eyes, pushing past Bexi. Everything she had ever believed in was a lie. She didnt know what she had done to deserve all this. She knew this pregnancy probably marked the end of her life. And she didnt care. If a baby was all she had to live for, then apparently she had very little.
She had always believed that women were more kind, more sensitive than men. And Bexi threw all that out the window. Women were just as cruel and heartless as men.
Sometimes she just wished she could fall off the face of the earth. And then everyone would have one less person to worry about.
"Lester?" She whispered, seeing a blonde boy stumble out of the boys dorms, his face pale as a ghost and his arms bloody.
"Lester!" She screamed, running towards him and catching him just as he fell. "Lester.. Lester, are you okay?"
But he wouldnt respond.

Bexi sighed, and let Shaun go. It was clear that there was nothing more that she could do, and whatever she did would only sting her more. She waited for Shaun to get well out of sight before she sighed and fell back against the tree, closing her eyes. She had actually genuinely liked Shaun, liked to have someone that thought of her in that way and wasn't immediately put off when she told her what was wrong. It only figured that she'd have to be slightly crazy to even think like that.
She pushed herself off the tree, but not before she slammed her fist against it, feeling her healing knuckles sliding back out of place. Quickly, as she stormed back off, she put her fist back in her hand and realigned it with a hollow 'crack' sound, not even stopping as she took the hand support out of her bag and put it on.
She walked forwards, desperate to get back to her room as quick as possible so instead of walking cast a spell to get just outside the dormitories. She hadn't even thought that Shaun could be on her way there as well.
She turned, not seeing anything because of her speed, but hearing something quiet. Soft words, spoken in concern, and then suddenly a scream. She understood it instantly. She ran quickly to Shaun, seeing Lester on the floor and sliding to her knees in front of him. "Aw, shit." she said.
She was fast, faster than most in the sight of blood and pain. She quickly had her phone and passed it to Shaun, commanding her, "Phone an ambulance," before taking her first-aid kit out of her bag. It was incredibly big, having pretty much everything possible contained inside. She opened it, pulling out anti-septic, tape, bandages, and pretty much everything that could help him. It seemed more kitted out than most ambulances. She sprayed on the antiseptic first, where most people would blindly just stop the bleeding, and then she pressed bandages against the bleeding.
She looked up, and turned to Shaun. "Hold this." she said, taking her spare hand and pressing it against Les's arms, not giving her any choice as she pulled herself up, clenching her fists tightly and stepping over Les; there was no way she'd let Ehren just leave. [/blockquote]

Shaun screamed. "Bexi, no!" There was no way she'd let Bexi go after Ehren. Contrary to what Shaun wanted to believe, she still loved Bexi. With everything she had.
She grabbed for her, loosing her balance and falling over. Putting her arm out to brace herself, she landed on it, hearing the sickening crack of broken bone. She screamed again, this time in pain. She pulled her arm to her chest, pulling her legs off of Lesters.
"Bexi, dont.. Please.. Baby.." She cried, barely realzing what she was saying. Tears fell down her cheeks as her arm throbbed.
'Hello? Hello..?' the phone was echoing, the voice seeming very, very distant. Shaun reached for it, but found it was too far away.
"Lester.. Lester.. You promised you wouldnt let her get hurt.." She cried, holding onto her arm. She looked down at him, but he still wasnt awake. And even through the bandages, she could see the black spots of blood. Why wouldnt he stop bleeding? She reached for him with her good arm, tears falling down her cheeks.
"Bexi, Lester needs help!" She called after her, not caring about herself. Anything to get her away from Ehren. "Ehrens not worth it! Bexi!"

Bexi gritted her teeth, her hands clenching into fists angrily as she picked the phone back up. She didn't have time for this, didn't have time for any of this. She walked over quickly back to the phone, putting it to her ear as she asked quickly in a monotone voice for an ambulance, explaining where and what the situation was with a practised art.
Even then, she didn't stop, continuing to look at the phone as her fingers passed over it quickly. She put it back to her ear, "Hey, RyRy? It's Bexa... Yeah, Bexi Lexi, who else would it be, you know like three girls? Anyway, I need you to come to the boys dorm entrance like, now-ish? My friends are needing first ai-Ry, I'm gonna be busy alright? Superhero stuff.... No, I'm not getting myself killed, just be here." she hung up quickly, and tossed the phone back to Shaun.
"Last time I waited around to look after the injured, one of my friends died. I'm not doing that again, Shaun. Not for anything. Superheros beat up the bad-guys," she said with a small smile, spinning on her heels and quickly disappearing down the hallway.

Shaun screamed again for Bexi, wanting to run after her. But in what felt like a split second, both she and Lester were loaded into the back of an ambulance and whisked off to the hospital.
"No! Bexi!" She screamed, fighting the paremedics. But they were much stronger than she was.
"BEXI!" She screamed as loudly as she could. Then the world went blurry.
The next thing she remebered was waking up in the hospital, her arm in a cast and a doctor hovering over her.
"Lester?" She asked.

Ehren stood in his room, his hands balled into fists. That was the last time that brat told anyone what he did to Shaun. He would pay for it when he got back home, too. And he would pay well.
He stripped the bed of its sheets, tossing it aside. He cut the rope from the headboard, and stuffed his knife into the nightstand. He reached for his cigarettes, pulling one out and sticking it in his mouth. He lit it quickly, inhaling deeply.
"Hes gonna learn one day, thats for sure." He said to himself.

Bexi slammed the door open with such force that it bounced back off the wall with almost the same force, stopping barely before it came close to where Bexi had been standing. But she was too fast, storming across the room and rushing to the boy, her body filled with adrenalline.
She pulled on his top and span him around to face her, grabbing him by tightening his collar in her fist and slamming him against the nearest flat surface, which happened to be a wardrobe. "Actually, my friend, I think you're going to learn before him," she said through gritted teeth. She had never seen the one who had killed her friend and dragged her cousin into a similar grave, but in her mind he would look something like that. Actually, in her mind, it was the same person, and there was no way she could have known they were two different people.
She lifted up her fist, slamming her other clenched hand deeper into the join of his shoulder-blades. "You don't mess with my friends. You don't mess with anyone, you sick son of a bitch," she said as she attempted to hit him across the face as hard as she could. [/blockquote]

Ehren flushed. This girl dared come into his room and hit him?
"Who do you think you are? Im not afraid to hit no girl, sweety. So Id suggest you leave and quit bothering Lester. Hes not worth your sympathy." He told her with a smirk. "Hes mine."
He pushed her off, blowing smoke in her face. He died the cigarette out, then threw it out the window. He glared at her.
"Im warning you. Leave now, baby doll. Before you die." He reached for his pack of cigarettes again.

A chill laugh left Bexi's throat as she pushed him back against the wardrobe, this time even harder. "You think you're funny, don't you?" she said, a wide and manic smile across her lips. She was enjoying this probably a little more than she really should have. Fighting had always been her life, never having reached the age where it wasn't worth the pain and effort. "You think you're a God, you think you're so fucking fantastic." She slammed him into the wardrobe again, hearing something crack. She realised it was more than likely the wardrobe, though, to her disappointment.
"Les isn't yours to own. None of these kids are yours. So leave 'em alone, or you're gonna have one hell of a radgy mum chasing yuh. You got that, punk?" she asked rhetorically. "And trust me, it'll hurt you a lot more than it'll hurt me." she said with a sickly sweet smile, before kneeing him in the groin. [/blockquote]
