Diane was in the cafeteria. It was a nice, warm day outside, and for once things seemed to be going alright. Everything had just faded into a reasonably normal life again. Yes, she had the occasional people asking her "aren't you meant to be dead?" and "what's with the gold?" She still had gold ribbons just above and just below ever join in her body. For the majority it wasn't very noticeable, only the one wrapped around her head, neck, and bracelets reaching up to rings on each finger could be seen now. At least the gold dust from her face wasn't obvious anymore. It was still only a temporary solution, and when people asked her how she was alive she wanted to scream at them and tell them that she wasn't alive, just pulling her body around from the golden strings, but in practice it mattered little.
She sighed, picking up her bag and rummaged around it for a minute or so, looking for her mobile phone and maybe something to eat. Oh gosh writers block... someone come along and help me? XD

Mayu sighed, looking around the school for Seru. Finally, she had gotten through the paperwork. But he was no where to be found. Her stomach grumbled as she walked past the cafe' signaling it was time to eat. "Diane!!" she screamed, wrapping up her friend in quick hug. The backpack swung painfully against her, but she ignored it. It could only mean MEL wasn't hovering around her. "Did you still want to stay here? Because I did all the paperwork, finally, though it doesn't matter... BUT! I like doing things properly. Mayu grinned, looking over her friends outfit quickly. "Did you go through my closet? Bad idea, now. Seth has been influencing me." she twirled for her friend to view, looking the best she'd ever been.

Diane's smile suddenly beamed as she saw Mayu, and if she hadn't wrapped herself into a hug already, Diane would have been quick to do it herself. "Heya, Mayu" she greeted. "Yeah, I'll be staying here, I can't think of anywhere else that would teach me." she told her with a shrug, before keeping her mouth shut to tell her psychically I'm remembering the old spells quickly just to prove. Psychic messaging had been the first spell she had forced herself to learn, since she had felt so helpless without it, but it was still a little hard to hear her words. It would take more practice to make it perfect again.
She smiled at her friends outfit, pretending to fan herself "Oh Mayu, you'll bring out my lesbian side!" she said, laughing, "Very nice. Didn't think Melville was so influential... Or maybe you're just glowing!" she remembered suddenly. "Bexi told me about the mini-MayuMel."

Mayu waved her hand, pretending she hadn't heard the mind message. They had been coming weaker somehow, but she ignored it. Just like everything else was coming fuzzier. "Ohh, you have a lesbian side? Niice!! Ant will LOVE watching you make out with other chicks." she grinned, pulling Diane along to the nicer part of the cafe`. "Oh PUH-lease, you have no idea how influential he can be. Or is there something you haven't told me, Princess Dia?" she teased, sticking her tongue out at her friend.
She plopped onto the table, using a chair to support her dying feet. "These heels are killers, want to trade?" she shook one of her feet near Diane, smiling evily. "They'd fit."

Diane laughed, following her obidiently and listening to her closely, "Oh, so let me get this straight. The guy who'd rather sleep with men would enjoy his girlfriend to kiss women?" she looked at Mayu dubiously, shaking her head. Then again, it wouldn't have been the most implausable thing about their relationship. It was after all a gay man and a zombie girl.
The hair went up on the back of her neck hearing herself being called that name, "PUH-LEASE, Mistress Mayu," she returned to her in a grin, "I wouldn't keep a secret from you. Well, not intentionally, anyway... I think I've told you everything. Have I...?" she asked, afraid to say in case Mayu had been left out of the know somewhere along the line. She was suddenly afraid that her friend didn't actually know about her and Melville's past, and that was a can of worms that she would have preferred to stay shut if she didn't.
"You, however, have kept this a secret from me," she said playfully glaring as she pointed at Mayu's stomach. "Why didn't you tell me? Does anyone know?"
She looked down at Mayu's shoes. They were, quite simply, to die for, which from the size of the heels looked like it was the case. She slid off her shoes quickly and passed them over to Mayu, hoping that the straps wouldn't get tangled in the golden ribbons.

Mayu looked at the shoes, raising an eyebrow at the material. “Odd choice.” She grinned, hooking a finger through her own shoes to take them off. With a smirk she held them out to Diane, holding out a spare hand for the second set. “Loan only, Mel would be mad if I gave away those.” Shaking her head at the thought. Mel, mad because of shoes? If only. “Alright, I would be mad. Not him” Mayu giggled, winking at Diane. “Oh HONEY! I know all about your and Mel’s night of fun No thanks to you or him though, Ant told me.”

Diane blushed, trying to take her mind off what Mayu was saying by trying to put the intricate shoes on. "Of course," she said to the fact that they were only loaned, looking intently as she was suddenly very afraid of one of the life giving golden threads snapping. "Well, I assumed that Ant would have said - he rarely can keep his mouth or mind shut about some things..." she explained. It wasn't something that she exactly liked to talk about, and she guessed it was the same for Melville. "I mean, you can't exactly tell me you know everyone he's ever had a night of fun with," she told her.

Mayu giggled again. “Just about every girl alive? Any blonde he’s met, I’m sure.” She slipped into Diane’s shoes easily, feeling odd without the nine inch heels. Or the nine inch feeling heels. “Alright!! Let’s go shooooopping~” she jumped up, landing gracefully on the balls of her feet. “We need to educate Mel’s taste of music, YOU need more clothes, and I~ Need more shoes.” Mayu grabbed her friends arm, and her purse, dragging Diane out of the cafeteria and towards the woods.

Diane jumped up, wobbling a little on her heels as she tried to get used to them. "Whoa... de ja vous?" she said suddenly, remembering the night that they'd spent at the pub when they barely knew each other, before Mayu had even met Melville, before all of this chaos had really begun.
She stumbled forwards, though was quick to get used to the height difference, even if she was walking quite slowly. "I haven't been shopping in ages..." she said slowly, wrapping her arm in Mayu's. "You know I could probably give you a list of people he hasn't slept with, would probably be easier!" she laughed. "Why are we getting him music? I didn't think he listened to music, just that... noise," she remembered, rolling her eyes.

"My point!!! His music sucks, we must change it!" Mayu giggled, pulling Diane along the road towards the mall. Teleporting them without noticing to Henton town, already. "Money no problem, so load up your arms, worst that happens is we tell Ant and Mel to come help us carry things. OHHH!!!!! Have you seen Mel's new car?" she laughed, helping to support her friends lack of balance.

Diane grinned. She didn't think she'd ever experienced 'Money no problem', and it was a little frightening, but in a good way, like reaching the very top of a rollercoaster. "Changing music for Melville? I hope it works. Just anything which sounds better than a beat-boxer with torrets will be a good start," she agreed.
"Oh, I don't think we should get the guys along, I don't think dragging them around will make me feel particularly good," she added with a shrug, walking slowly onto the main street in Henton. There wasn't a lot here in the way of clothes, but they could still have a decent look around. "And yeah, I saw the car. The sporty one?" she grinned. "He must be completely in love with you for that one!"
