Hannah was finding it hard to be around the school. She didn't understand it well, and though she had three cousins and one half-brother at the school already, seeing them only made her feel more alone. She wouldn't be around for long, and she wanted to make the most of it. She knew well enough that Melville would never be the kind for any 'family bonding' or even dealing with the new information in any obvious way, but she needed to get to him somehow. It seemed the only thing he cared about nowadays was Mayu, and so to get close to Mayu was to be close to a family she never knew she actually had.
She stood in the doorway, knowing that she should probably leave to find a youth hostel or hotel room before it got too late, but could only hope that Mayu would help her look. She picked out her phone, taking the number Melville had left her and ringing it quickly.
"Uh... Mayu? I-It's Hannah..." she stuttered, suddenly losing all confidence and self-assurance now that she was speaking into her phone. "Y-You were saying you wanted to maybe talk or something? I don't know, its fine if you don't want to..."

Mayu was spending her time typing away on the newly busted laptop she owned. Somehow her water had fallen out of her hand, splashing across her keyboard and shorting out the system. So now all the work Mel had done online was ruined, just like her brand new laptop. “Stupid!” she yelled, grabbing the screen and yanking it across the room. Feeling satisfied when it hit the wall, smashing into pieces.
She grabbed her phone, quickly typing out the message to Mel when the call came through. With a grin she held it to her ear, listening to the timid voice. "Uh... Mayu? I-It's Hannah...Y-You were saying you wanted to maybe talk or something? I don't know, its fine if you don't want to..." Mayu giggled into the phone, reaching out for her slim jacket. “Hey Hannah!! Where are you? I’ll come over right now.” She rushed, already out the door and half-way down the hall. “You okay? You sound worried… No one hurt you have they??”

Hannah smiled, feeling herself blush. "H-hurt me?" she repeated vaguely, looking around herself quickly, keeping a sharp eye on the couple of boys which were walking through the entrance hall at that moment, but otherwise it seemed empty. "No...." she said slowly, clutching her phone a little tighter as a nervous laugh came out of her mouth. "Not yet, anyway!"
"Um, I'm in the entrance hall, I think it is..." she said, looking around herself quickly. "In the really modern looking building?" she asked feebly.

"Five seconds." Mayu grinned, snapping the phone shut and uttering the teleporting spell while walking. Her feet landed a few inches from the ground, causing her to stumble into Hannah. "Alright, this day might be difficult because my laptop is uhh.... Dead. Phone's dying. AND I sat on my translator.." she giggled, throwing an arm around Hannah and giving the stray guys a Mel-worthy glare. "So what you want to do?"

Hannah froze as Mayu's arm went around her, somehow managing to stay as still as a statue and still worming her way out of her grasp. Her face was beetroot. Mayu was talking to her and she didn't understand what on earth she was saying. And she point-blank did not like to be touched. So much for this being a good idea. "Mayu, I can't understand you..." she said in a quiet voice, barely able to be heard in case something was wrong on her end, and Mayu was talking normally.

Mayu frowned, pulling out her phone and typing in what she just said and shoving it into Hannah's face. "Trransflatr brokehn." she said slowly, barely able to form the words in english. I can't find another one, but I can understand you. "So anyway, i'm thinking- shopping, movie, then looong dinner where we talk about whatever. Hopefully embarrassing stories about Mel?" she giggled, fanning herself with her black and pink purse. "I got us covered." she hooked her arm into Hannah's, pulling her along the street towards the town's mall.

Hannah blushed... how was she supposed to be able to talk to a complete stranger if she could barely understand what she was saying? It was hard enough for people to be able to socialise with the painfully quiet girl. She felt guilty that she understood absolutely none of her language. Desperately she was trying to think of who she could call who could translate; Diane, Melville, Bexi, Ryan... almost certainly none of them knew enough Japanese to get along. Not that she even knew how well the latter two got along with Mayu.
"Uh...." she said slowly, pulling away from her arm again. There would be no touching. Ever. Hannah did not react well to people touching her, male or female. But she tried to make it look natural but still a polite hint. "M-maybe in town we can find somewhere to get you a translator?" she said, talking very slowly for Mayu to translate.

Mayu rolled her eyes, whipping out her phone to text Ant. "I'm foreign, not retarded." she muttered, slipping her phone in her pocket as her older brother came into view. Ant grinned at Hannah, wrapping an arm around Mayu quickly. "Aaand Mayu is just not being nice. Hi there, Hannah. I'm Antosha, Mayu's big brother." he bowed quickly to the small girl, looking taller then ever. His outfit matched Mayu's perfectly, not on purpose though. Mayu frowned, looking up at him. "Brother! What did I tell you about your outfits?? Don't match me anymore, it's embarrassing!" Ant rolled his eyes, "I'll be your translator and editor for Mayu's dialog."

Hannah looked between the two of them, Mayu's words still lost, and there was no way that she would ever take Antosha's word for what she was saying. "Yes, I recognised you from Diane's funeral. And my brother and Mayu's, for that matter," she said, her words slicing surprisingly sharply for such an innocent, shy looking girl. She made no pretense to smile or even give him anything other than instant dislike.
She picked up her backpack and put it back on her back, holding onto the strap quickly as she smiled back at Mayu, "I'm sorry, I really think I should get going. I still have to find a hotel..." she excused herself quickly, looking apologetic to Mayu.

Mayu frowned again, making a motion for her to stop. "What's your problem, shut up sis, I haven't done anything wrong. Besides! Your sister is happy with me, so don't start going off on me because of your stupid phobe." Ant growled softly, moving away from his sister. "Woold bohh uf youu shuf off??" Mayu yelled, somehow screwing up the words further then possible. "Youu, go!" she yelled, slapping Ant on the head till he left, still fuming. "Ann noa. Say herrr." she mumbled, turning to Hannah. Dangling the keys in front of the girls face.

Hannah glared at Antosha, keeping her eyes pinned on him like if he didn't he would suddenly attack her. Unlike most, her homophobia was closer to a real phobia rather than a dislike. She had been hurt by his kind too much. She had already begged Diane to reconsider, afraid for her cousin's sake. The two had a habit of echoing each others lives.
"No... really. You should probably be around someone that can translate for you, and I really need to get a hotel..." she excused feebly, but was somewhat glad that Antosha was going. "Is he always so quick to be offended? I was being polite," she practically spat out. She was being as polite as she could manage while all she saw when she looked at him was the one that had wronged her.

Mayu shrugged, yawning lightly. She slipped her hand into her purse, pressing a button on her dying phone. "He can read your mind." she smiled, wishing the battery would last longer. "Anyway, you can stay in mine room with me and Diane. Well... In Diane's room because i'm gunna sleep with Mel." she smiled at Hannah. "It's upstairs, cheeper then a hotel. But I gotta go, need a new translator." she waved to Hannah, bouncing upstairs and into Mel's room as her phone(and only form of communication) died.

Hannah looked at Mayu. "He..." she couldn't finish repeating it, her whole opinion of the boy suddenly sinking even lower if possible. SHe felt embarrassed, embarrassed for feeling embarrassed, and that her privacy had been compromised. She closed her eyes. "Let me know when your translator's back, Mayu. There's plenty to tell." she promised her. "Oh, and if I go in Diane's room won't Anto-" but Mayu was already wandering off, leaving her question unanswered. She preferred hotels anyway, she told herself.

Melville was in his room, just about to text Mayu. He'd been wondering if she'd found the websites, not that there was much particularly there without really knowing much about what she wanted, but the time was ticking and he really just wanted her out of danger. And they were starting to get comfortable. But when he saw the broken laptop he assumed she had other things on her mind.
He turned around as she came in the room, moving over to her and putting his arms around her and kissing her cheek. "Let me guess - the laptop started it?" he said smoothly.

Mayu groaned, wiggling out of his arms to flop onto the bed. She threw her dead phone onto the bedside table and held out the broken translator for him to see. "You can't understand me, so no real point in talking.. But everything is breaking!!" she yelled, punching the pillow in frustration. Assuming she was electronically challenged would be the best thing one could do, since it was obvious everything broke around her. "I stepped on the translator, spilled water on the laptop and I lost my phone charger..." she whined, looking up at him.
