She walked through the hall quickly, eyeing the room as expertly as possible. OK, it had been a bit cruel to leave Antosha alone in the cold, but she suspected he wouldn't have wanted her around for the grand reunion of him and Brynn. Diane's reason, although she didn't say it, was that she really wanted to see Abigail again. She texted quickly, asking 'You at party? x x Diane', blushing as she waited for a responce. The place was far too big for her to find her just by looking.

Abigail quickly reached for her phone, wondering who it was from. She had one eye adroned in eyeliner, the other still clear of any makeup. She read the text message from Diane and smiled. She quickly typed out a response.
"Uhm.. Just putting the finishing touches on my make up. Be there in 5? -Abigail"
She tossed her phone back onto the vanity and began to put eyeliner on the other eye.

She groaned, quickly texting back as she walked around, sitting on one of the many seats that were pushed to the side of the room with the giant dance-floor. 'Please be quick. It's freezing and this dress is TINY x x x x' she texted back, feeling self-conscious again as she kept her legs very close together, smiling nervously at anyone that walked past.

Abigail blushed as she read the text message, a million diffrent thoughts running through her mind, many of them she didnt like.
"Tay." she typed back with one hand as she clipped the back of her choker with the other. She tucked her phone into her clutch and slipped into her shoes. She quickly ran out of the room, nearly tripping over her floor-length victorian gown.
She ran out to the parking lot of her apartment complex and met with the driver her step-mother had hired. "Uhm.. How fast can you get me there?" she mumbled to him, sliding into the back seat of the Dodge as he took off in a squeal of tires.

She sighed, checking her phone every two seconds. How soon would she get there? She sighed, wondering if she should go back outside and see if Antosha was there, or if Brynn had turned up yet. She sighed, leaning back and playing a game on her phone, praying over and over please be here, please be here, please be here...

Abigail slid out of the car, looking around for Diane. She had no idea where she was at, but she was determined to find her. And discover just how skimpy that dress was.
She wandered around aimlessly, nodding to a few people who happened to acknowledge her. She hated the looks she was getting. You would think that theyd never seen a girl in a Victorian dress before..
She finally found Diane and snuck up behind her as quietly as her heels would allow.
"Boo.." she whispered in her ear.

She looked up, "Wow," she said, looking up and seeing it was Abigail. She looked up and down at her dress, with an open mouth, "Wow," she repeated, "You look so much warmer than me!" she said, taking her hand and trying to pull her into the seat beside her. She looked at her, smiling. Was she the only one in a vaguely normal outfit? Saying that, hers was a little too short to be considered normal. Still, she appreciated the dress. "You look gorgeous, my dear."

Abigail blushed as Diane took her hand. She slipped her fingers through Dianes.
"Yeah.. But its cute." she said with a smile. " You look nice."
She kissed her cheek gently, something her father had taught her to do to be polite. She hoped she wasnt making Diane uncomfortable, not knowing whether she was interested in girls or not.
"So. What did I miss?"

She took her hand, feeling their fingers slipping through each others, a strange closeness that she didn't really want to let go of, as she blushed when she kissed her cheek. Her mind was running numbly, stunned suddenly by her. Was this the same shy girl from the fair? I think I'm in love! she thought with a smile, not realising how literal her thoughts were. "Thanks. I warned you it was tiny," she said, blushing deeper. "And so far, you haven't missed much. I don't think anything's really happened yet."

Abigail smiled. "I tried to dodge all the mistletoe on my way in here.." she said with a smile. She blushed as she realized that Diane wasnt letting go of her hand. She looked at her, admiring how beautiful she was/

She smiled, squeezing her hand and smiling at her. Why did the world suddenly feel better? "Ah, yeah, I had to do that on the way in." she told her, remembering how she'd practically ran through. "And I hear some are enchanted to force you to kiss, too!" she said, gulping, "But you won't have to worry about that with me! I'll save you from any minging boys that try to slobber all over you!" she said.

Abigail laughed. "I cant see why anyone would want to kiss me." she said seriously. "Honestly. Look at me.."
She stood and raised her arms for emphasis. "I.. Ew!" she said and sat down with a laugh. She took Dianes hand back in her own, liking the way they felt together.

"Hey..." she said, letting go of her hand, but only to put her arms around her. "I think you look pretty, and I'm definitely not going to be the only one. And if all else fails, there's the desperate ones." she said, laughing as she put her head on her shoulder. "I doubt anyone decent'll kiss me, either." she said slowly. "I'm too much of a guy for straight guys, and too much of a girl for gay ones..." she said slowly, rolling her eyes.

Abigail smiled and hugged her back, running her fingers gently through Diane's hair.
"Well.. Do you consider me decent?" she said, referring to what she had said. "Because Id kiss you.."
She blushed and looked Diane right in the eyes when she said it, for empahsis. She pushed a piece of hair from Dianes forhead, then kissed it gently.
"Dont ever say youre not good enough. Because to someone, you are. Regardless of if you know it or not."

"O-oh..." she said slowly, everything Abigail was saying was sinking in at a remarkable speed. Abigail was gay? She looked up at her, keeping very quiet as she felt the kiss on her forehead. Her head was spinning. How had she never seen this before? Her entire world was made up of gay men and somehow she'd just forgotten that lesbians even existed. And was she interested? She looked up at her, looking into her soft eyes. Diane didn't like women... did she? She remembered how excited she'd felt when Abigail was about to come to her. She remembered the first time she really looked into her eyes.
"Um..." she smiled, looking down. "do you want a drink? I don't know if they're selling alcohol here, but if they are, do you want some?" she asked, trying to change the conversation and possibly get a chance by herself.
