Well, this was typical. Bexi had been in the school only a matter of hours and she was already wandering around somewhere that not only looked empty, it looked like it had been empty for several years. A cold chill ran down her spine, but since she could feel no temperatures she knew it must have been magic or spiritual. She was thoroughly lost.
Or at least that's what she would say if someone found her.
Bexi knew that she was in the wrong place, and knew the exits. But she also fully realised that after these few hours of being a newcomer, she would never be able to step down these ways without getting into serious trouble. Usually, she didn't mind trouble, but she wanted to show that she could be responsible at the school she was hoping to teach at.
Her feet slipped across the dusty corridors, looking around with wide eyes. She took her thermometer out of her bag, looking at the dial. Aparently it was quite cold, as she expected, and she took out a light jumper from her bag and wrapped herself in it.

Kurt was in the office, not because he was in trouble (surprisingly) but because his mom was enrolling him. He wanted to bite her ear off.
"No no no! He must be in this class!" She insisted.
"Mom.." He groaned, shoving his hands into his well worn jeans. He hated when she did this. Then again, he hated her period. This woman had issues. Just because her son wasnt straight, she set him up with some girl. Just because he rebelled, she brought him tuxedoes. She didnt know how to handle this and Kurt just couldnt stop annoying her. The looks on her face were priceless.
"Heres his schedule." The woman at the desk said, handing it to him. Kurt jerked it away before his mom could grab at it.
"Kurt! Let me see it!" She cried, grabbing for the paper.
"Bite me, woman." He said, walking off.

Bexi looked around herself. Sure, it was interesting to be in a world that she would never see again, but it was clear that she probably wouldn't want to see it again. It was devoid of life, devoid of everything but books and dust from the looks of things. She wondered why they didn't just knock it all down and start to use it all again. Maybe if she was head-teacher.... her mind wandered, though she realised that it would never happen.
She put her hands into her little pockets as best she could, shuffling along the hallways until she reached life again. It was sooner than she expected. It seemed someone else had come somewhat this way. "Uh... hello?" she called out, stepping forwards as she saw Kurt. "Hey, man. You know where the Necro building be?" she asked, every word sounding like it was from a different accent.

Kurt raised an eyebrow at the girl. She was seriously talking to him. To him. He looked around, seeing if it was possible that there was anyone else around him she could be talking to. But the halls were deserted, barren. So why talk to him? He was pretty far away from her, so he pretended he didnt hear her, continuing to walk down the hall. He scanned her from head to toe, disaproving of her instantly. His mother had always told him not to judge a book by its cover, but he did it to everyone. He trusted no one. He probably never would find trust in a human.
"You say something, girl?" He said, putting emphasis on the word 'girl'. He didnt like her already. Something about the way she carried herself bothered him. She looked like the type of girl who didnt do no hair pulling when it came to fights. And to him, that was a bad thing. He didnt like girls who could possibly be more of a man than him. And so he avoided them.
"Sorry, by the looks of things, youre about as new as I am. Youre better off on your own, babe." He smirked at her.

She shrugged, keeping her hands in her pockets. It was good to be around a guy who was a decent height on her. Most of the slightly shorter than average men were about her height, but the height difference between her and Kurt was pretty average. "Oh, that's cool, man." she said with a wide smile. "You just moved 'ere, then? You're looking a lil' tall there for a first year." she said with a cheeky grin. She had no intention of getting rid of her only form of entertainment she had so far. She had learnt that most people had bad first impressions of her, and had learnt to push past them. "Us newuns should probably stick together until we find out whats the crack, right?" she asked him with a shrug. [/blockquote]

Kurt laughed heartly, the first time he had laughed in years.
"Me? Stick with you? Oh, thats a riot!" He smirked, pushing past her as he made his way down the hall. He smiled, adjusting his booksack, something about the girl bothering him. Maybe it was the way she actually tried to interact with him instead of run in fear that worried him. She was an odd one. And would take alot of getting used to, in Kurts mind. But he wasnt willing to give the effort. Why try and fail when you can turn and walk away from the beginning?

Bexi frowned, not really having the instincts to pull away as he pushed her back. Still, it was not much pressure she could tell, and it probably wouldn't even leave a bruise.
Bexi skipped up to his side again, like a moth attracted to flame she enjoyed being around the dangerous people, almost as much as she enjoyed the company of those she could nurse and look after. She smiled to herself, walking along calmly with a bounce in her step. "You're right, it will be a riot. It will be awesome." she said confidently, nodding to herself. "Name's Bexi, by the way." she introduced herself.

Kurt grabbed the girl by the shoulders, not hard but strong enough to settle her down. She reminded him of a kindergardener, a child who couldnt leave mommy alone when she was cooking dinner because it wasnt entertained enough by its toys.
"No. You. Annoy me." He said slowly, raising an eyebrow at her. "I. Dont like girls. Got it?"
He pushed away from her, wanting to go and take a shower now that he had touched her. Anyone of the female species disgusted him. He didnt mind them, ordinarily. But he really didnt like this girl..

Bexi smiled and shrugged, a sense of naivety in her eyes. She knew emotional pain, and had seen the world through many years, but she would always be slightly innocent. "That's fine, I enjoy the challenge," she said, making a mental note that she would have to check her arms for bruises and breaks later.
She walked after him again, staying close, completely fearless. "Besides, I'm not exactly asking you to sleep with me. Just talk for a lil', yah?" she said.

Kurt tried walking a little faster, but found himself being trailed closely by the girl. He groaned, leaning against the wall, his leg bent, his foot against the wall. This girl was really starting to bother him. And he didnt take kindly to being bothered. And there was something wrong with her not flinching when he touched her. Kurt couldnt quite place what was wrong with that picture, but he knew he would figure it out. He would just have to pry it out of her.
"You like bothering people? Abuse doesnt bother you? Because you sure as hell didnt flinch when I grabbed you." He glared at her, wondering how she would respond. But rather than waiting, he waved his question away with his hand.
"Never you mind. Why me? Theres a school full of people here. Look around!" He said, motioning around him at the hall way, clearly empty to anyone but him. To him, there were hundreds of people, scrambling down the hall.

Bexi frowned. She wasn't sure if she should admit to her condition, since some may take it as an invitation to see if it was true. But it didn't seem to be the concern here anymore. She looked around herself uncertainly. "Uh..." her eyes trailed around herself, and towards his eyes, which seemed to be catching things she couldn't.
"Are you feeling OK, man?" she asked, leaning back against the wall. She had spent most of her years in hospitals, and so she saw illness in everyone she looked at. "Dude, there's like... no one here..." she said, looking around. As if to show this, she threw herself off the wall, holding her long thin arms out wide and spinning around. "See? No one but us two..."

Kurt gave her an odd look, as if she had lost her mind.
"No. You dont see them? Theres hundreds of them. See?" He pointed down the hall, where many more people were coming, almost out of the walls. Even the occasional girl stopped to glare, as if he was a monstrosity or something.
"You really dont see them?" He looked at her, concerned at the way she just stepped in front of them, not aware that she could be tramped any minute. He grabbed her hand, pulling her back to the wall. He quickly pulled back his hand, wiping it against his jeans in disgust.
"Youre just an idiot." He said, walking off down a hall, not aware of where he was going. As long as it was away from her, it would be fine.

She pulled herself back from the wall where she had found her light body hitting, not even a second of bracing time needed as she pulled back and continued to stare at the blank corridors.
She mused to herself. What was this boy seeing? It was uncommon for people to hallucinate so many people, even if they had some sort of condition. Which left this in the magical world. She grinned to herself, her eyes lighting up, "You're a medium, aren't you?" she asked, skipping back to his side. "Oh wows, a medium..." she said, mentioning just one of the names people with his power had, "I read about them in Necro. You can communicate with the dead. I was thinking this place had an odd feel to it... Hundreds of spirits?" she let out a low whistle as she shook her head.

Kurt groaned, the girl still following him. Normally, he would have punched her in the nose during the first five minutes of her charades. Normally, he would have laughed at her lying on the floor, groaning in pain as blood spilled from her delicate nose. But something told him this girl wouldnt be feeling any pain.
"Im not no medium. I dont talk to the dead! These people are alive! Its your fault youre ignorant." He wanted to scream at her, get it through her thick head that he wasnt interested in whatever she was offering. But he felt screaming would make matters worse. That she would just scream back at him. He shook his head, knowing good and well that he would break someones neck for screaming at him. So why did this girl make him feel so akward?

Bexi put her hands on her hips, realising that he wasn't believing her, though she was now convinced by herself. She was, after all, two years older than Kurt and had been studying for what she assumed was a far longer time. "Alright, alright..." she said to herself.
She stepped forwards, seeing a bunch of broken boulders and pedestals. Without even thinking, she jumped for them, having to keep herself steady as she almost fell, but managing to gain her balance quickly which staying tall. She was already tall, and knew now that she would be almost twice the height of most of the spirits. "Right!" she cried out. "If you can hear me, raise your hand NOW!" she cried, not knowing whether the spirits could hear the living or not, "And if you're dead, keep raising your hand!" she said after a few minutes. She turned to Kurt, wondering what the reaction would be.
