Antosha stopped just outside the classroom, taking a deep breath. It was nice to be away from all of them, even if he would end up in loads of trouble. He sighed, walking through the Infirmary to the outside walls. He sighed, leaning against the wall. It was better out here, no one was bothering him for the next answer, no one wondering if he was okay. Out here he was alone.
He closed his eyes, breathing in deeply. If he had a cigarette right now, he would so be smoking it. Who knew this year would be so difficult? Wait, why couldn't he have a cigarette, he had magic didn't he? Smiling to himself he summoned a cigarette and lighter form his room at his Aunt's house. It worked perfecting, almost like summoning the dead. He lit the cigarette and brought it to his lips, breathing in deeply. It worked, already he felt calmer. Maybe in a little bit he could go back to class.

Ms Jackson was in her office when she recieved the urgent message from the new Medicine teacher. As much as she told herself that she wasn't surprised to hear Antosha was getting into more trouble, she actually was. She had always just assumed that he was just interested in Necromancy, not because it was the work of Evil.
She walked quickly, grabbing her coat and headed towards the Infirmary. When she was nearly there, she considered casting a detection spell, but she soon found she didn't need it. She saw a figure beside the door, and getting closer she could smell the smoke and see the figure of Antosha sitting. She had expected him to move further away.
She stepped closer to him, almost being able to taste the sickly sweet smoke. "You know I'm not going to reward you everytime you break the rules." she said. She was not angry; as she'd been telling herself, she wasn't surprised and this was just a new challenge to overcome.

Antosha looked up at Ms Jacksonin surprise, he was just about to head inside when she showed up. He threw his cigarette on the ground, making sure it had stopped glowing. "I'm sorry ma'am, I just couldn't take it in there. Eveyone's emotions were too high strung. De was hating the class and the teacher, the teacher was much to preppy even in the thoughts, and Mayu was sulking because I had De sit by me. You know how I get ma'am, strong emotions really get to me. I'm not working with Evil, I swear ma'am. I admit, sometimes it is tempting, but for the most part I ignore it." he explained, standing up to her level.
It amazed him sometimes, how he could respect a woman who was shorter then himself. He smiled shyly, running a hand through his freshly spiked hair. Not that anyone would notice, they would just be too worried about him. That confused him, why would anyone worry about a guy who could care less about himself?

Grace listened closely, surprisingly she listened careful. It was nothing like she had expected to hear, but it was exactly what she had wanted to. This boy obviously cared a lot about his friends - almost to the point of it driving him insane. She could also feel something else as well, like perhaps not all of his empathy was strictly magic free. "You know, life tends to go a lot easier if you stay out of other people's minds. It's often hard enough to deal with our own." she said, coming and leaning back against the infirmary. She was feeling very uncomfortable; she wasn't used to being the sort of teacher that consolidated her students or offered pearls of wisdom, but she kept being thrown into the wrong situations with him.

Antosha gave Ms Jackson a confused face. "I wasn't reading anyone's mind." he said. He wasn't good at that, yes maybe strong emotional ones, or sometimes surface thoughts. All he got were strong emotions, or weaker ones when he didn't fell good. It had happened before, his knowing what people had thought, but that was many times before he came to FMS. Before he knew about magic even, all he assumed was it was just luck. At FMS he found out he could control magic easily, almost as well as Mayu could before she arrived at FMS. "Ma'am, why would you think I'm reading peoples minds?" he asked.

Ms Jackson looked at him, genuinely shocked that he hadn't known that he had been reading the minds. She had been certain, and she was pretty sure that no one could have been so upset from just knowing that someone didn't like a class, or wasn't with their friend, without some sort of empathic link. She told him; "When I came to you I was thinking how thankful I was that you weren't working for evil, and I never said it aloud and you still commented on it," she explained, watching him carefully. This was exactly where she was comfortable; puzzles. "You must naturally have a very good empathic skill. I would consult your Psychics teacher, ask if he can teach you to restrain it." she said, feeling slightly nervous that he could read her thoughts.

Antosha looked at her and nodded, feeling a little numb. "Do I need to start putting up blocks?" he asked carefully, measuring her reaction. Not that this surprised him but it did put up some unanswered questions. Maybe he should stop with Necromancy and focus on Psychics more, or maybe he would just go crazy and explode. They way she had spoken, or thought was more likely, he had devoloped an empathic link with his friends. He wasn't sure if this was suposed to be a bad thing or a good thing.

She folded her arms; she knew that neither of them were in a hurry for him to return to the lesson now, and he wouldn't be in any less trouble for returning now than not returning at all. "I'm not sure if 'blocks' is the right sort of magic, but yes, something like that," she told him, "Like how I told you," she looked around, using all of her psychic powers to try and see if someone was in hearing distance, and leaning in closer to him, "Like I told you that I could reduce the Necromancy energy in the air." She leant back, speaking normally when she said, "If you want I can cast temporary spells on your friends to stop you from intruding so much? I can even teach you how to do it?"

Antosha smiled, feeling happier now that he was away from all of them. "Yes please ma'am." he said. He hated being a nuisance, maybe this would help he be more normal rather then be so moody all the time. Besides, Ms Jackson was nice enough when you go to know her, like he already had.

She smiled back, going into her bag and pulling out a small notepad and a piece of paper. She scribbled down some words quickly, putting some of the letters in bold and underlining others. She handed over the paper to him, and turned to the room. She turned to the Infirmary, taking a step back and telling Antosha, "I will cast it on everyone in that building - it will mean they are protected from only your psychics, so they shouldn't notice unless you tell them to. It will wear off in time, so use the spell I've just given you when you start to feel anything." she told him, spreading out her hand in front of the building, muttering words very similar - but not exact - to the ones on Antosha's piece of paper. One of her hands was tightly inside her pocket, clinging onto her pendulum.
"Now," she said, the spell cast. "What am I thinking of?" she said, thinking I sure hope I don't have to cast this spell again today...

Antosha focused a little harder then he normally would have. "It whispers, that's all I hear. Something about a spell." he said, after trying agin a couple of time. Though he hadn't been away for long, already he could feel all the extra emotions leek away from him.

She squinted her eyes, putting her hands on her hips as she told him, "Well, it didn't work quite as well as I'd expected, but it will do for now. As I said, go to your Psychics teacher for a more permanent solution. I can't keep doing this spell forever, and the more you cast it the more you're magical energy will adapt to it, until it eventually doesn't work at all." she said, shrugging. "Do you feel any different, though?" she asked, genuinely concerned. It wasn't right - she wasn't meant to grow too attached to any one student, but here she was, praying to herself that everything would turn out alright for Antosha.

Antosha smiled and nodded, he was finally happy to be away from everyone's emotions. "It's a lot better, I mean yeah. I can feel the basis of everyone's emotions, but it's not like their my own anymore." he admitted truthfully. Even as he said it, more of the emotions were leeching away from him. It seemed so much more simpler to think now, he had his own head to think in.

She smiled, feeling quite proud of herself. She had actually managed to improve a students life, and it wasn't in the form of punishment or inspiration; this was purely a nice deed, and she felt surprisingly good from it. "So you'll probably be able to tell that I'm relieved to say that." she said, smiling to herself. "You'll have a lot to experience with your own feelings - perhaps it might even change your outlook on a few things?"

Antosha looked up, the smile still plastered on his face. "About what Ms Jackson?" he asked, smiling wider as she commented to her own emotions. It was nice to have someone that got it, the mood swings, the intense emotions, all of it. Well, now he would probably have to start showing up in Psychics after all.
