The cold air filled his lungs. It was raining hard, or was it snow? Over the last few minutes it had felt like hail, snow, sleet and rain, all chasing after him, sometimes caressing with soft coolness and sometimes beating down with sharp blasts. But, as he had always said, come rain or shine Melville would do his morning work outs. It was impossible to stay his size without them, and it was thrilling and peaceful. And the effects? There was something comforting in knowing that if needs be he could take on almost every one in the school.
He frowned, slowing down as he reached the end of the track, sweating but keeping his breathing even and slow. He sat down on the cold damp ground, taking the temperature with no heed as he thoughtfully drank his bottle of water.

Isabella walked swiftly, using her black parasol to block out the worst of the weather. She wasn't really here to train, her kind of training was an indoor use only. Besides, only the tough guys would be out at this time and in this weather. Her five inch hot pink, black skull heels made minimal noise against the ground. Surprising not to say the least, per usual her black and pink hair was in a ponytail. Which was all good with her, seeming the weird one always suited her. But now there were about four goth freaks at school. Scar, Genii, Salem, and herself. Well; Antosha, Mayu, and Salem. She forgot about their new names sometimes.
Isabella looked up, seeing a familiar figure sitting on the ground. It was Seth Melville. She searched through her knowledge of him. He was supposed to be the schools toughest guy, but some how he'd started going out with Mayu the Lolita. Every morning he'd come outside and train, no matter the weather, trying to keep up his muscles. She smiled and walked up to him, sitting on her feet beside him. "Hello Se-, Melville." she corrected quickly, remembering his hatred of being called Seth.

He frowned, stopping her drink and rolling the bottle around in his hands, "Close call." he said, meaning about how she had almost said his first name. He looked down at his bottle, watching the icy water slush around in his hands. "Do I even know you?" he asked, looking up at her and trying to recognise her. It took a few moments, but then he smiled, "More to the point, have I slept with you before?" he asked, half-serious and half wanting to just scare her off.

Isabella smiled, keeping her face paler then ever. Not even blush would show up, if she were to blush of course. She shook her head to put her bangs into her eyes, trying to look like his beloved Mayu. Stupid little whore, keeping the big Mel to herself. "I'm Isabella, and yes. We have slept together before, though I doubt you'd remember." she smiled her best Mayu smiled, easily pulling it off. The only difference between the two girls would be Isabella's heritage and her lack of Asian descent. Not to mention her pink and black hair.

He smiled and nodded slowly, trying desperately to remember. He was never any good with remembering girls; it hadn't exactly taken much thought. "Isabella? Yeah, I think I remember. What are you doing around?" he asked slowly, a little afraid of her beginning to try and tear him apart. Not that it mattered if he had. What was she going to do to him? He was almost five times her size.

Isabella shook her head, muttering something under her breath. "Just learning, leaving the school soon. What about yourself? I heard you got a new girl. Ummm, Mayu wasn't it?" she was acting friendly, meaning it sincerely. She might resent a girl for stealing Melville, just as many girls would be, but as long as he wasn't punching people's faces in. Isabella moved some of the winds around, using the partial space to create an image of Mayu, which flickered and died quickly. "That's her, right?" she pretended not to know the answer while pointing to Mayu's image.

He glared at her, looking from the image and back to her. So, she was a gossip monger, and not a very subtle one at that. "Yeah." he said, his voice low and threatening, not letting her get any more information out of him then what was already known.

Isabella sighed, rocking on her heels. He looked different, probably thinking she was looking for gossip or whatnot. "Melville, I don't really care about gossip. I was just interested in facts, if you'd remember anything about me then you should know that I won't tell anyone what's been told to me." she looked mildly worried, not at his tone but at what he'd think of her. Quickly she waved away the image, letting snow take back it's place.

He gritted his teeth, slamming the top back onto his sports bottle and pulling himself up off the ground, "And if you remember anything about me you'd probably know I don't give a fuck," he told her, "Get out of my head, and get out of my life." he said with a small shrug. It had been a simple request, as politely as he could manage.

Isabella closed her eyes, breathing in deeply before standing up. Melville's anger didn't phase her as it once had, she'd heard all too much about it. "I wasn't in your head." she said simply, dusting off her clothes. Might as well leave before things got too violent, she hadn't packed weapons today. She turned to walk away, going a few feet before stopping to look over her shoulder. "You should know your girl is in danger." Isabella smiled, giving Melville a tiny wave of her fingers.

He looked up at her suddenly, bounding forwards in only a few steps and grabbing her arm tightly, forcing her to face him, "If you touch one hair on her I swear to God I will kill you..." he growled at her, for the moment completely forgetting she was female. All he saw was a threat that needed to be controlled.

Isabella smiled, not at all in fear of him. "I will not harm her, the dead will. In fact, they already are. Try looking in the lake, I think someone tried to drown her." She grimaced, forcing herself to remain still and deadly calm. All he needed was the slightest hint of danger and he would snap her neck like a twig. She coughed, feeling her lips turn blue, the feeling in her body gone. "Go. Now. She hasn't got long, barely breathing. If the water doesn't kill her then the cold will." she forced herself to look at Melville, trying to force him to understand.

He loosened his grip, staring at her and shaking his head. "Are you taking the piss?" he asked, though he could see in her eyes something of truth. Then again, he was never any good at telling lies from truth. He gritted his teeth, confused, but the image of Mayu in the freezing water finally brought him out of it.
"You're coming with." he said, leaving no room for debate as he held her arm tightly and began to cast the spell.
~~~
He arrived, shocked as he looked around himself and found that he had broken the Protection by sheer willpower to be at the harbour. He dropped Isabella's arm, looking around himself frantically. "Where is she?" he demanded, walking out onto the pier and looking around, though he dared not find her in the water.
Isabella gasped, finding herself suddenly at the harbor. Hadn't there been a protection spell? It didn't matter, she closed her eyes and focused on Mayu. It was cold, so cold, and she couldn't see, couldn't breath. There was something blocking her from coming up, it was colder then the water itself. Isabella looked up, grabbing the nearest heavy object and throwing it at a patch of ice, watching it crack. "Under the ice." she pointed to the cracking object. Mayu hadn't surfaced, the currents were dragging her too far down.
"God fucking help me..." he said softly in an irritated voice as he took of his jacket, diving into the water and up to the chunk of ice. It was freezing, stinging his entire body, but his heart only felt crushed when he saw that Isabella had been right. Desperately he pushed his body forwards - it had been years since he had last swam, but his body was much stronger and the years of training made it back to second nature.
He took her hand, pulling it towards him as he pushed away, grabbing onto her waist to better pull her up as he swam forwards.
He gasped as the cold air reached his lungs once more, pulling Mayu with him as he lept to the shore, holding her closely towards her, trying to warm her with his own body heat even as he too froze. "Isabella, the jacket..." he said quickly, motioning to where he had left his jacket.
