Mayu looked around the room, her eyes stopping at the spirits fighting. "You don't see that?" she asked, twirling around to see Melville. Melville. Her expression softened, then broken, tears streaming down her face. Quickly she moved closer to him, putting her arms around his waist. Suddenly, it hit her that she almost died.

He took her closely, wrapping his arms around her, flicking between where the spirits were meant to be and Mayu. He wondered how everyone could see it and he couldn't, but it didn't mind while Mayu was upset. "Shhh..." he said, kissing her head and holding her tightly, trying everything he could to comfort her.

Antisha glared, turning to Diane quickly. "Control him." he pointed to Mathew wildly. The spirit was annoying him, and breaking all rules of a spirit guide. Well, maybe not all of them. Julie stood still, waiting for Mathew to try anything again. You must stop this madness, Mathew. her tone was calm and controlled, keeping her fear hidden. Mathew was bigger then her, and more knowledgeable. This would be fun.

"I-I don't know how..." she said slowly, afraid of Antosha's anger at her. How was she supposed to control him? If she could do that it would have been done before. "Please, Mathew, stop. We can stop this. You're supposed to protect me!"
/I am protecting you!/ It yelled, so loudly that even Melville could hear. /I have done nothing but try and protect you but it will never be good enough! I will always just be 'murderous Mathew'. I've had it! I quit!/
She looked at him in horror, telling him "You can't quit, you're bound to me!"
He gave a small smirk before raising himself up, and charging straight at Diane, fully intent on possession. Diane felt with horror the verbal contract shatter with his betrayal, realising just how easy to break Ms Jackson had made the new agreement. In the last moment of sharing knowledge she knew that he had no intention of stopping her breathing - if he got his way he would stop her heart.

Antosha watched, caculating his movement down to the second. Diane had fifteen seconds to live, five to respond, and one second to move her butt. He grimaced, she wouldn't be able to move in time. Not even he could move fast enough to move her, only block. He cursed, glancing at Julie. Time up. The girl moved quickly, grasping onto Mathew long enough to slow him down, but he was too big for her. She fell off almost in that same second. But her efforts had managed to land Antosha in front of Diane, alive. He grimaced again, watching the spirit coming towards himself. To get through Mathew would have to kill him first. Julie screamed, disappearing to go find Ms. Jackson. Or someone who could kill a ghost. Anyone.

Her heart raced as she felt Antosha rushed to save her. She was certain she would die, closing her eyes tightly in fear, her heart bursting against the bruises on her chest from when it had stopped before.
Mathew skidded to a halt just in front of Antosha. It wasn't Antosha he wanted anymore, it was Diane. It was to make her suffer, and he knew that he had all the more time to do that now. But Antosha knew about time, he knew when to duck and how to fight him... He couldn't risk going empty-handed, Let me have her or you all die. First your brother, then your friend, and then your unrequited love. He spoke those words only to Antosha and Diane, leaving the other two in mystery, It will be much better this way, Antosha. Once she's dead you could even steal a fifth kiss.

Antosha stood still, not bothering to blink at Mathew's words. "I think I'll pass." he said coolly, wondering what the spirit was waiting for. "Scared to face the living?" he taunted, trying to goat the dead into playing. Mathew wouldn't touch the other two, it just shouldn't happen. "Mel, get my sister out of here.. Now." he yelled, letting the fire flare up. If worst went to hell, he'd run to Ms Jackson. Not now though, now there was still a chance. If Julie found her. Twenty second passed, everything was happening to fast for anyone to follow.

Mathew took only one step back, bringing him close to Melville.
He looked up, hearing his name being called. It was frightening, like being at a war with a blindfold on. Everything was slow in his mind, trying to work out what was going on from the snippets around him. He looked up at Antosha, the message running through his mind and nodded, ready to cast the spell-
He stopped, and gasped, letting go of Mayu quickly. Trying to push her out of the way. His chest burned, and he knew he would fall, the little energy he had left draining fast as the floor came towards him, darkness falling sharply after.
I won't tell you again, Antosha. Let her go.

Antosha growled, wanting to kill the spirit desperatly. It was fine to kill Melvile, he really couldn't care. But if killing Mel hurt Mayu or Diane, it pissed him off. He turned to Diane, looking at her with his dark, murderous eyes. "I can't kill him, can't even hurt him." he said slowly, taking his time with it. Julie flooded into the room, rushing at Mathew. Her body 'hit' his with just enough force to knock him away from the dead boy. What happened to you, Mathew? she asked quickly, buying Antosha five second to complete a teleporting spell for Mayu. He turned to his sister, tossing her a metal bracelet. Her uncle's teleporter, used in emergancy.

Mayu watched Mel fall, trying to hold back a scream. She rushed to him, checking for a pulse. None. "S-shit." she stumbled, pressing her hands quickly to his heart. Forget CPR, magic should bring him back. Tears fell from her cheeks while she tried to focus, trying to combine elements. A spark, that was all she needed, a simple freaking spark to shoot through his heart. No matter what size, the spark could bring anyone back. All her energy combined in one hand, releasing into Mel's heart. She sighed, pressing her hand down, hard. She felt a beat beneath her fingertips.

"Mel!" she gasped, putting her hand over her mouth as she watched in agony as he fell over, her eyes glazed as she looked at the spirit, her breathing shaking. First her brother, then her friend, then... "Antosha, please, just let him..." she said in a hurried tone, watching him looming over Mayu. She grabbed a hold of his arm, half wanting to push herself in front of him though she knew it would never work, but mostly wanting his attention. "Please..." she said, her throat almost completely closed up, looking up at him in desperation. Her eyes widened as Julie came back, tears rolling down her face as her fear didn't settle away.
Mathew picked himself up quickly, glaring at Julie as he went to the other side of the room. He had lost Mayu, and with Julie's return he had probably lost Antosha. But he had still left his mark, as he watched Diane's pained look. Something in her expression disturbed him, but he had little time to dwell on it. What happened to me? I gave up! I worked so hard to help her and protect her and it was never good enough! So yes, I was angry. Yes, I broke that cliff ledge. Yes, I killed her so-called brother and I will kill her... Antosha. I have nothing to lose, so I'll take whatever you can.

Antosha moved away from Diane, glancing at Julie and nodded. Julie walked up to Mathew, smiling. You love her? she asked, not bothering to keep her distance. With Antosha's knowledge about time she should be able to doge any attacks, probably not though. He stayed close enough to De to make a fast reaction if needed, such as running right through Mathew so Diane would be spared.

Diane felt alone and afraid as Antosha pulled back, barely able to see a thing through her tears as she watched Antosha carefully, afraid of what he would do.
Mathew looked down at Mayu and Melville, knowing that his work was being undone, but he could see how close Julie and Antosha were, ready to surround him. He glared at them both, his body crouched slightly, ready to pounce like a cat. Already his spirit form was starting to change, glimmering with the image of a lion flickering between the image of Mathew. I did. he growled. But I'd sooner die a thousand times then ever love that bitch again, and fully transformed into a lion form, jumping at Julie to use her 'body' to jump over to Mayu and Melville.

Antosha screamed, launching himself over to Mayu. Is Mathew could transform so could he. Midair he twisted, turning his form quickly. Black fur erupted from his spine, his fingernails lengthening and becoming thinnner. By the time he hit the floor he was on all fours, claws extended. A growl ripped out his throat, skin peeling back to reveal his new canines. Leave! he screamed, unable to speak outloud. His tail lashed back and forth like a whip, daring Mathew to cross him. The lion might be big but a panther was smarter and faster, deadlier when it was actually Antosha behind the fur.

She screamed, her eyes wide as she watched Antosha's body transform before her, breathing quickly. He looked so much stronger, but the lion's body still faded in and out of vision ominously, still a spirit. Mathew was already dead, and he had nothing to lose.
The lion growled, keeping his head low, his body rippling as if it was projected onto water. His teeth bared, he stomped his foot threateningly, trying to judge himself. You can't protect them forever... he growled, pouncing away through the wall to the outside, jumping down however high they were, and racing away.
