Antosha had been running as soon as his feet hit the ground, the pace was easy at first but harder and faster as he went. A blur, that's what he wanted to be, a blur nothing more then that. Mark's appearance had startled him, almost as much as his words had. Drop the act Annie, your not fooling anyone but yourself. The words rattled around his brain, the only thoughts for miles.
He slowed down the pace, keeping his breathing as even as possible. One, two, breath, one, two, breath The act was repetitive, just enough to get him to where he was headed. Antosha smiled, looking up at the largest oak tree in the school grounds. Using his squirrel like talents he climbed up and over every branch, headed for the upper most part. It was the last branch that could still support his weight, his name carved into the trunk just beside it. Antosha heaved himself over and settled down long enough to think.

She escaped through the library doors, stuffing her things in her bag as she thought about what she'd done. She'd chosen to possibly irritate a teacher; it went against everything she stood for. But then again, Antosha was everything she stood for, right? She held onto her bag and whispered words under her breath...
She looked around herself, wondering why she hadn't moved. She leant back on the wall, holding onto her ankh necklace, trying to clear her mind as she attempted the spell again. The words kept evading her, as she realised that he was moving, and moving too fast for her spell to keep up. She stayed there, praying that the teacher didn't step out until she'd finished casting the spell.
Finally, it worked, as she found herself outside. She looked around, confused. She'd never been around here, especially not with Antosha. She looked behind her, seeing the giant tree looming above her, remembering Mark's words. She gritted her teeth; it pained her to know that Mark had been right. She could see something shifting around up at the top, before finally stopping, apparently running out of height. "Antosha?" she called up the tree. "Antosha, it's Diane..." she paused, "Do you want to talk?"

Antosha sighed, knowing he'd been caught. Using only his hands he lowered himself down the tree, just far enough to see Diane standing there. "About what?" he asked calmly. Though he had lowered himself down he was still considerably higher then her, and had no intention of going further. He crossed his legs beneath him to wait for Diane's reply, wondering how she had found him.

She shrugged, finding her neck was starting to hurt already from looking up so much so she took a few steps back, easing the angle of her neck and letting her see him clearly. She spread out her arms, "Anything you want, really," she said up to him. "You just looked like you could do with a friend?" she suggested, wondering if he was going to come down or shoo her away. Either one she would be happy with, if it was what he wanted.

He lowered himself to the ground, if only to relieve the pressure from De's neck. "Sorry about Mark." Antosha said, giving her a weak smile. He wondered why she didn't climb up the tree to get him, maybe she couldn't climb trees? That would be a new one, meeting a person who couldn't climb a tree.

She smiled as he lowered himself down, putting a hand on his shoulder and stroking it sympathetically. The real reason why she hadn't climbed the tree was to see if he would bring himself to her. She didn't want to impose herself, and let him have his own territory while he was in a bad mood. It was basic friendship 101, really. "Nothing to be sorry about." she said truthfully, "Although I'm sorry for trying to wind you up about it..."

"What do you mean?" asked Antosha, pretending he didn't care about the answer. Though here he was sitting with Diane his mind was still reeling over what mark had said about him. Maybe he shouldn't have started his life here hiding behind magic, maybe he should have shown his scars. Antosha laughed, yeah, like he would ever do that.

She smiled and shook her head, reassuring him "It doesn't matter," with a smile, "I just meant when I text you with that name... I'm sorry..." she slowed down, pulling away and pacing around furiously, "See, this is why I don't call people by other names. You are Antosha, I am Diane. No Ant or Anto or whatever anyone ever calls you, you're my Antosha..." she told him, with a shrug.

"I don't care about that." Antosha said truthfully, smiling at her. From the sounds of it he sounded like he was a pet, her pet. Maybe he should roll over and do a trick? Though he wondered what he would get for a treat, since there was no way he'd ever do a trick for free. If he got Brynn as his prize there wasn't any trick he wouldn't do to that prize. Well, almost no trick, Antosha doubted he would commit murder unless the victim in question had harmed Brynn in some way..

She smiled nervously and looked down, shuffling her feet, "Sorry... I'm a little paranoid about calling people the wrong name." she told him, biting on her lip, "First time I called Melville 'Seth' he cut off half my hair in my sleep..." she said, wrapping her fingers around her hair almost protectively, but she was smiling. It did seem funny now she looked back on it.

His smile was quick, a fleeting emotion dancing across his face. But what was funny about losing half your hair in the night? The thought confused what little mind he had left, the rest was locked away in battle with itself. "It's alright, it grew back didn't it?" Antosha smiled at her, a poor imitation of the original but it worked just the same.

"Of course," she said, telling that he wasn't really all to into the conversation. She wasn't surprised, and wasn't sure if he needed distraction or comfort. "Are you OK?" she asked slowly, genuinely concerned buut trying to make the question light-hearted.

"Define OK?" Antosha joked, smiling to Diane. "Can you climb a tree?" he asked, winking at her. Maybe if they tried this conversation somewhere higher he could pay attention. But it all mattered if she could climb or not. If she couldn't he might just have to carry her up the tree Edward-Cullen style.

"Um... define climb?" she asked, looking up it nervously. The last time she'd climbed a tree she'd been half the height she was now, and even then she'd only managed to get to only a meter or so high. She bit her bottom lip, smiling at him nervously, showing him how she really knew she couldn't climb that tree.

"Up to where I was." he said pleasantly, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. To him, climbing trees was like breathing. If you couldn't climb a tree like him it didn't matter, but if you couldn't climb a tree at all you were worthless. Antosha blamed Mayu for this, seeing as she was the one who dragged him to gymnastics everyday.
