Mayu was in the kitchen, trying to cook again. She had taken it over, bringing out everything she would need for dinner, and her radio. "Already Over" by red was playing, loudly. Mayu drummed on the counter, singing along with the music. "You never go, your always here (suffocating me), under my skin. I cannot run away, fading slowly." came her slightly harsher vocals. Though she would never admit it, she could actually sing but will only do so when she was alone.
The water was already boiling, perfect time for her to throw in the noodles. She wiped her hands on the white lacy apron. "It's already." blared the last of the melody, bringing it to an end. She smiled, knowing her favorite song would be coming up next. It started; "The stars will cry, The blackest tears tonight..." she hummed along with it, adding icing to her cake.
No wonder people though she was weird, her she was, cooking pasta and a cake for dinner. Alone, again. She sighed, bringing the pot off the burner, glad that it was finally done. The sauce had been cooked earlier, now all she needed were plates. She stood on her tiptoes, trying to reach up to the top self.

The music was blaringly loud as Diane walked down to the cafeteria. She winced, not at all liking the harsh reminder that she had had very little sleep over the last few nights. She did, however, recognise the song though she couldn't remember the name, and was curious who was listening to it.
She walked through to the Kitchen, looking in and smiling as she saw Mayu singing along to the song, adding her own softer version under her breath as she walked in, leaning against the far bench, "Hey Mayu," she said, having to speak quite loudly over the music. She had had something on her mind for a while, and needed to talk to Mayu.

Mayu jumped, the plates slipping out of her grasp. They crashed to the floor, shattering everywhere. "Aw man." she muttered, looking around for the broom. "Oh hey De, what can I do for you?" she asked suddenly, noticing Diane walking in. Mayu leaned over and shut off the radio, leaving the room in a dead silence. She sighed and bent over to sweep up the shattered remains of her plate, the black one too. After she deposited the offending slices into the bin, she grabbed two more plates and silverware. "Want some pasta?" she asked, sliding her three-layer cake into the fridge.

She tried to offer to help, but she found her efforts minimal as she tried to pick up the pieces with one hand, only managing to pick up a couple before Mayu had sweeped them all away. "Sorry I startled you..." she said, slowly standing back up straight. "I-" she was about to speak when she paused, listening to Mayu's offer. "If you've got any spare, sure." she said, moving back to lean on a counter, this time the one between the oven and the fridge.
"Um, Mayu..." she sighed, knowing that there was no getting out of this, and that it was best just to spit it out. After all, Mayu was her friend. "Have you ever... liked Antosha?"

Mayu looked up from putting the pasta onto plates, a healthy measuring each. "Not that I can recall, why?" she asked, sitting down on the counter with her plate. The cleaning spell had already done it's job so everything was once again super clean. It was a shame about Diane's arm, her spell casting was probably way off now. Mayu took a tentative bite of her pasta, thinking about De's question. It was true, Ant had been gay for as long as he'd been alive. So Mayu had become used to it, not falling for her unreachable friend.

She looked down at the plate of pasta, grabbing a fork and sliding it under the food as she pulled up a rotten old chair from the center of the room, sitting down on it and starting to play with her food. It looked nice enough, but she knew that right now it would probably taste like ash. "I do..." she said slowly, looking down at her food and watching the steam rise and disappear. "Or at least, I thought I did... I was sure in fact. But then..." she started blushing, still not looking at Mayu as she told her, "He kissed me. I was so shocked I didn't feel anything, and I tried to kiss him back and I... paniced." she finally looked up, sadness and confusion in her eyes. "I literally couldn't breath."

Mayu stopped, her eyes widdening, the pasta slipped from the fork. "He did what?!" she hissed, unbelieving. This confused even her, so she knew how Diane would feel. "Something magical?" she wondered out loud. That could be the only reason for De not liking the kiss. Mayu had known all of Ant's ex-boyfriends, they all had known her. She got to hear all the 'wonderful' details about Ant's 'abilities'.

She poked her food, dropping her fork slowly back onto the plate at Mayu's suggestion. "Something magic?" she repeated, taking the words into her mind, "I-I'd never thought of that. I just... I just thought that I was weird..." she thought, and the more she thought the more it made sense. She knew in her heart that she was in love with him - she had even tried to prove it with the second kiss, but every kiss had felt like... nothing. Like she hadn't experienced anything at all. "Do you think it could be true? Maybe it's something to do with his empathy?"

Mayu shook her head, since their last encounter with Anto's empathy she'd been studying up, learning everything she could about the subject. "From what I can tell, or atleast what the books have told me, empathy doesn't work that way. See, it's a way for Ant to see into your heart, but he can't actually change what's in there just by touching you. He can only tell your intentions, emotions, wants, and needs. If you fear something, he should be able to tell, but only when you come across something you fear. Make sense?" she explained, trying to help Diane with her problem but not being sure how to do that.

She nodded slowly, leaning back on her chair, picking up her fork again and playing with her food. The pasta sauce was beginning to dry and turn just the right temperature that Diane loved, and she bit into another bite, "So he only feels what I'm feeling at that exact moment, like a TV screen..." she said.
She looked at her food, taking more into her mouth. "I-I guess its not magic then. I'm just... weird."

Mayu considered it for a moment, moving closer to her friend. "It could be a possession, from your Necromancy........" she said slowly. Though she wasn't empathic she was pretty good at reading emotions herself, a habit learned from living near Anto all those years.

She frowned to herself, taking another bite as she thought. How did she know about that? She supposed that Antosha must have told her, which explained why she hadn't asked about her arm yet... "So you heard about that, huh?" she said, her face turning red.
She was afraid, and wanting to tell Mayu about the noises she had heard, but instead she heard the words coming from her mouth, "I'm sure it's nothing. I think I'd know if I was possessed. Besides, we did so little, I doubt anything could have happened." She was confused, though her body didn't show it. The words made sense, but they weren't what she wanted to say, though she didn't give it too much thought as she went back to her food.

Mayu watched Diane with guarded eyes, keeping her face even. "Anto tells me everything, mostly mentally though." she said, answering the original question. "Ask Ms Jackson, you can never be to sure with possessions. Some will only posse you for certain reasons, and at certain time. Like during Anto's kiss for example, the entity would have entered your body for that moment the left afterword. The entity could still be lingering around you, waiting for moments such as that. Ms Jackson should be able to feel the aura around you to tell if you've been possessed or not." she explain.

She nodded to Mayu's words, listening closely. She'd never even thought about possession before, and now the whole thing was becoming a scary idea. "I can't... can I?" she said. On the one hand, she feared it more than anything. On the other hand, the other option didn't bare thinking of... She looked down, continuing to eat her pasta, telling Mayu, "I'll go see her later, OK?" she promised, though a part of her wondered how sincere she was being.

Mayu nodded and glanced quick glances at the door. "Promise?" she asked, wondering how the room had gotten colder so fast. Something wanted in, or out, she wasn't sure which. But it wanted something, the the thought passed and the room went back to normal. Could it really be a possession? None of the books mentioned entities of this level, it didn't seem normal. Besides, there was no way the supernatural could exist, Ms Jackson had made sure they knew that.
