The cute little pink ribbon still lay softly on the bridge of her nose, a reminder of how it had been broken recently, though the nose was almost completely fixed. The tiny bandage was a good conversation starter, though, and any chance of attention Crys could get was a bonus.
Things were finally starting to go Crys’s way. She was struggling, but slowly but surely she was starting to make her way up the lethal ladder of popularity.
She was wearing surprisingly warm, well covered clothes today. It was cold, far too cold for her to even dare to take her coffee outside. It seemed like everyone else had her sense of reasoning, as the coffee shop was exceedingly busy.
She looked around the busy coffee shop, narrowing her eyes as she looked around herself. Everyone was busy, in large groups laughing loudly or in small coupled groups. She looked around, stepping forwards slowly. Everyone that was by themselves were either old or social suicide to sit beside.
It was then that she saw Brynn. She presumed that he was waiting for someone, as he didn’t look like the type to be sitting alone. A quick examination told him that yes, he was cute, but luckily she was exceptionally good at deciphering if one was straight or not. Either way, he seemed the most obvious choice.
“Do you mind if I sit here?” she asked, sitting down on the chair beside him, a gleam in her eyes telling him that it didn’t really matter whether he chose yes or no.

Brynn had strangely been at the coffee shop alone. He called Anto who at first said yes but later called it off. Diane seemed busy and most others were busy. So he came alone and quite sadly it was awful. However the coffee was sweet and his pumpkin scone was delicious. It was busy today. Most everyone was eating inside the cafe. He had sat at a two-seat table the other seat empty and cold.
Brynn sighed pushing his hair out of his eyes while adjusting his scarf. He wore a black cloth coat. He also had a book by his side that he said he'd read but never really gotten too. This was the perfect opportunity to read it. However it was interrupted, by a girl with hair as red as flame. She was undeniably beautiful but maybe not naturally. He could see the large amounts of makeup she wore. But of course he recognized her most from Anto's attack.
"Uh...of course you can sit there." He said with a smile placing the coffee he was about to sip down. "I don't know if I've apologized for Anto but I'll do it again. I'm truly sorry for the damage he caused. He can get a bit rash but trust me he's kind at heart, he's just going through some serious issues right now." Brynn looked at her. "And I also don't think I've introduced myself. I'm Brynn." He smiled in a friendly manner. He noticed the bandage. "I hope your ok." He said with a small frown.

She put her hand over her mouth as a slight blush tried desperately to fight its way through her layers of foundation. "Oh, I knew I'd seen you before!" she lied swiftly, but now that she was reminded of Brynn she remembered him clearly. This made her all the more interesting to her.
"I'm Crys. Crystal Fedor." she said with a warm smile, happy to drop her last name in wherever possible. "And this? Oh, it's nothing." she said about her nose, leaning forwards and moving her chair in closer. "I really don't know what would have happened if you hadn't gotten there as soon as you did, though," she said with her eyes wide, "He looked like he was going to eat me or something!" she said, putting her arms around herself as she tried to forget the traumatising incident. "Thank you very much."

"Fedor like your Dad owns the school?" He asked surprised. "Wow." He said with a smile. Brynn looked up at her waving his hand. "It's nothing anyone would have done it. I know Anto can be a bit intimidating but I assure you he usually isn't that hostile." He said with a frown. "I just hope you'll be ok." He said a small apologetic smile on his lips. "But did you just come to this school I haven't seen you around anywhere." Brynn said confused.

She smiled, looking up as if pretending to be modest, "He owns... a lot of it, yes," she said, chewing on the bottom of her lips. "Lets just say he's a premium investor in our education." she said proudly, with a small shrug.
She felt her mouth tighten slightly at his last statement. Being well known within the school meant the world to Crys, and just as she thought she was redeeming her throne, it felt like it had been tossed away. "I've been here a while." she said shortly, trying to keep her voice from snapping, or saying something harsh back to him. She wasn't used to stopping herself from saying what was on her mind - she had learnt only from Antosha what can be the negitive results - and it was tearing at her. She took a drink carefully, finding something to stop herself.

Brynn smiled. "That must be nice I'm sure it must be cool and all." He noticed her slight hurt at his comment. "Uhm, I'm sorry I just don't notice things I'm sure I've seen you before I'm just always somewhere else." He said trying to make up for his mistake. Honestly it was strange. For a strange reason he didn't want to upset this girl. She seemed to perfect then again you couldn't judge a book by it's cover. "Sorry again." He said looking down taking a sip of his own drink. What was there to say? "Uhm so then uh..." He looked at ehr drink. "What did you get?" He said looking at the cup. The possibilities were endless at this cafe.

She shrugged. She wasn't trying to be someone that she wasn't, but she was at least learning to tone down her fiercest words; at least around those who she actually quite wanted to know about her. "It's no biggie." she lied, putting her hands around the warm cup, "It's just a latte, but made with the new bags, not the stale stuff they give to most customers." she said with a small smile. She was beginning to really enjoy having a decent conversation. "You can get an amazing quality difference just by asking. Goes for most things, really. I suppose they help...." she said, looking over her shoulder where her two bodyguards could be seen just out of view. "So, what did you get?" she asked in a chipper tone.

Brynn smiled slightly happy she didn't seem to mind. He looked around to notice the two ominous figures in the background. He wondered slightly who they were. He looked at his drink. "Just plain coffee..." Brynn said with a sheepish smile. "I was going to get a chai tea but I really needed a caffeine boost today." He said with a sigh. "The winter days are really tiring me out, regardless of how much I love winter." He said with a smile. He looked at her seeing he memory as a chain much like he had with Judy when he used his strange power. He could pick out the link where he had said the offending words wondering slightly if he should break it off. He pulled away from her memories quickly knowing she didn't feel anything. His power was almost undetectable. He gave a small smile unsure what to say to this girl. But the same want for her attention struck him.

She smiled, looking down to her cup. It was taking almost all of her strength to not try and flirt with the boy. It seemed to go against everything that she knew to be in the company of a cute guy without trying anything, even when she knew that her feminine charms would be lost on him.
She smiled, "I've never tried those chai tea things before... but if you need the caffine then why don't you just take a pro-plus or something?" she asked. Everything in her world had a solution, and no compromises. "I hate winter..." she told him, wrapping herself tighter in her fur laced jacket, "I love the days when you can go out in a bikini, not when your fashion depends on how cold it is." she said rolling her eyes.

Brynn smiled softly looking down at his cup his fingers tapping the side gently. "Well I didn't bring enough money for anything special. If I did though I'd probably get something extra in this." He said shaking the half empty and lukewarm cup of coffee. "Really Summer is alright. But I’m a winter person. The snow just captivates me and I love coats and jackets and scarves. It's silly I know." He said giving a small laugh.

She smiled warmly, bringing her own summer whereever she went. "I can see why when you suit them so well," she said, before suddenly wondering if it was alright to say that, or if it counted as flirting. She really didn't want to push him away.
She shook her head. The idea of not having enough money was a terrifying idea which she had never faced before. "Well, what are you after? I might as well put my money to some good." she said, already getting her purse out.

Brynn smiled meekly touching his scarf gently. "Thank you." He said looking up at her. It was only right to compliment her back and he was quite honest about it. "I love your hair." He said with a smile unsure whether or not to ask if it was natural. "The color is amazing." Brynn said slightly.
"Oh no, no. It's fine really I'm almost done with my drink." He didn't want to impose on her money at least not when they had just properly met. "It's fine really." Brynn said with a reassuring look.

She smiled, glad to find someone that could take a compliment, as she instinctively ran her hands through her bright red hair. "Oh, thanks," she said, looking at it as best she could. "I can never remember if this colour is natural or not, I always dye it before the roots even have a chance to show through," she said with a shrug. For all she knew, her entire hair could be fake.
She rolled her eyes, the purse in her hands, "Seriously?! If you're almost done then thats reason to have another," she said, with a smile, "If you won't accept it as a gift, at least have it as a thank you for saving me?" she suggested.

Brynn smiled slightly as he could feel his almost empty cold drink in his hand. Crys seemed insistent on buying him the drink. "Well...ok I guess thank you." He said smiling standing up and adjusting his coat to walk up to the counter. "So I just say I want extra caffeine?" He wasn't used to ordering the fancy drink and orders with extra this and soy that. He looked up at the menu wondering exactly what a vente was.

She shrugged and smiled, passing him the money for the drink, and another note wrapped up tightly which she passed separately. "Put the note in the penny jar, then ask for exactly what you want," she said with a wink. She had done that far too many times, but when she had the power to do it she saw no harm. Asking for exactly what you want was Crys's philophy in life, and the more who could learn this masterful technique - even without the money - the more she felt like she was improving the world.
