Zeke walked out onto the park his mind going over to Kit. Over the past two weeks he'd periodically call and hang out with Kit the two becoming pretty close friends but until recently he had only thought of Kit as a friend but more and more he really began to like him a lot more. During their time together though Zeke learned Kit was probably straight making him off limits.
He sighed walking over to the park noticing a playground a few benches it was around sunset the sky a bright orange and pink. It was one of his favorite times of day; it was fairly cold as well not as frigid as it would be tonight though. He walked over to a swing set jumping on swinging back and forth absent-mindedly thinking over his situation. He really like Kit, but didn't want to ruin the friendship he had so recently built up. Zeke gave off a sigh pushing some strands of hair back looking at the trees across from him.

He put his hands deep into his jacket pockets, walking up on his way from Henton back to the forest where he would be able to teleport back to his room. That was if he decided that he didn't want to walk; it was a refreshing day and he felt that it was ending all too quickly, only because of sheer boredom and loneliness.
He had been with Crys again in Henton, following her around as she simply walked past all of the shops and talked, refusing to enter any of them. If that behavior wasn't strange enough, she also ran off again after another mysterious text. Still, it wasn't Kit's job to worry about her, and he knew she would come to him if she wanted to talk.
He looked up, the part telling him that the forest was close by, when he noticed the single person in the park, at the benches. It didn't take him long to recognise it was Zeke, since he had seen him many times recently. He remembered Crys's warning which she had given him only moments before 'I think he's falling for you, Kit, and who wouldn't? You're adorable! Just be kind to him, he doesn't handle rejection well.' He frowned, wondering how she knew - or thought she knew - how he would take rejection, chosing to ignore the message. Zeke wasn't even gay, was he?
"Hey, stranger," he said, standing next to him and offering him a smile, before sitting down beside him.

His mind was still lingering on Kit as he heard a voice. As if by magic there he was. "Wha- Oh hey Kit." He said smiling gently offering him a seat. Zeke gave off a sigh looking at the sun feeling his eyes start to water a bit from the brightness; maybe he shouldn't stare at it. He turned away "So then what have you been doing all day?" He asked lightly kicking the ground gently staring at the barren trees across from them.
His breath curled around in front of him as he pushed his hair back. How long would this cold last? There was a silence, but unlike when they first met, this silence was an awkward one, like they both knew something the other didn't and it was wrong to say it out loud. Zeke coughed slightly not exactly looking at Kit in the eye.

He wrapped his coat further around himself, suddenly feeling the cold stronger now that he wasn't moving. He'd been on his feet all day, and the sudden stop was letting him realise just how cold the really was, and he wasn't surprised to see his own breath. "Oh, just with Crys," he explained shortly, not really willing to tell him of her accusation. After all, there was no way that it could be true. "She seemed a little down, acting odd," he said with a shrug, feeling like he needed to offer and excuse as to why he had been with her. It was hard being friends with someone everyone else seemed to detest, and he hated trying to find the line between not hurting his friends and not hurting her. At the same time, he knew how much time he spent with only her, and didn't want anyone to suspect anything between them. Crys was a friend, and nothing more, he had to remind himself many times. "What are you doing here, anyway?" he asked, keen to change the subject quickly.

Zeke shrugged at the mention of Crys. "I'm sure it's nothing life threatening." He said giving Kit a small smile. He tapped the side of the bench a bit nervously when silence hit again. Soon though Kit piped up. "Me?" He said sounding maybe stupid; he was the only one here. "Uhm well, nothing really, mostly thinking about...stuff." He said looking sideways at another dead tree. The sun was lower casting long shadows and a reddish blue hue over everything. Zeke sighed. "So much in my head y'know?" He said grinning leaning his head back to look up at the sky as he pushed hair out of the way.

He smiled and shrugged, leaning forwards in the chair so that he could pull himself slightly into a ball to feel warmer. He looked down, knowing that it wouldn't be anything life threatening, but Crys was the sort of girl to have strange priorities, and sometimes she didn't know what was important to talk about and what wasn't.
He drew his concern away from Crys, though, and more onto the current friend. He was feeling like an agony aunt, though secretly he loved the feeling of being so trusted around so many. "Not really... what's been troubling you?" he asked, probing carefully and trying to make his question easily avoidable if he didn't want to talk, but open enough so that if he needed to, he knew he could talk to him.

"Uhmm..." He thought for a second. Zeke could say stuff that would hint things but he didn't have to admit it right? "Well..." He stopped wondering if he should do this or not. He sighed. "I don't know, there’s this one person I know, I like them and all like a lot but I really shouldn't say anything. It's confusing too since they're basically off limits to me and I'm just wondering like how I can get this one person. But I don't know, seems impossible now." He laughed a bit. "It doesn't matter anyways, I can do with ignoring it I guess." It only hurts subconsciously right?

He leaned back, looking at Zeke with interest as he wrapped an arm around the back of the bench, pulling up an leg to try and sit more comfortably, though it was hard on the frozen wood. He processed his words carefully, listening for any inclination that it was a 'she' he was discussing. At that point, all of the signs seemed to be pointing to an unrequited love, and what was more unrequited then a gay man loving a straight one? Still, it didn't mean that it was true, or that it was Kit, he reminded himself. "Um.... Well, what's the worst that will happen if you tell them how you feel? You'll probably feel better for it." he advised him, careful to use the exact advise he would have if Crys hadn't given him that 'tip'.

Zeke smile laughing once, "Rejection is the worst and most probable thing. I don't know if I can even take that kind of rejection. Not for something that feels like this." He said shaking his head. "I'd better not ruin what I already have with this person." He said shaking his head. "It's not too bad to hold things in everyone does it once in awhile right? So it should be no different for me." He said looking at the pavement. "But thanks for hearing me out I guess." Zeke said turning up to look at him giving a small smile before turning back away.

He looked at him concerned, not quite sure what to say. He wanted to suggest letting everything go, but he knew how much a broken heart could hurt, and how it could damage friendships. "I don't know what to suggest," he said with a small shrug, watching him carefully with concern before sighing, turning back to the park. It certainly did seem like an impossible situation. "I mean... what do you think will happen? If you don't tell them, surely things will just get worse won't they?" he said, knowing that his words might hurt but probably a lot less than the damage he would have to heal him from later. "If things are going to get worse by not doing anything, then don't put it off. But if you genuinely believe hiding this away will make it all actually go away, then go ahead and turn your back" he said, his words soft but logical.

"It’s alright you don't need to make a suggestion, it is what it is." He said smiling trying to look reassuring. "Anyway you said yourself, most love dies anyways, so then why even pursue this if it'll die in the end right?" He couldn't argue against his own words. "You can suppress anything this is just another, you can suppress addiction sometimes, this is basically the same concept." Zeke looked back up at the sky. "Thanks for your concern though." He sighed quietly.

He smiled softly, before sliding his leg off the bench and sitting up straight still watching his friend with slight concern. Yes, he admitted that love often wasn't worth the pain it put people through, but when faced with the choice of disaster covered in a flowery illusion or pain and agony struggling with your feelings, Kit certainly knew which one he preferred. "I'm allowed to worry, though." he said, "You're my friend, and this obviously isn't making you happy."
He sighed, turning away and smiling to himself as he realised it was a losing battle. "But, there's no point arguing about it. Just... take care of yourself, yeah?" he told him.

Friend. Friends. Zeke let out a small dry laugh. "And that's why..." He said to himself knowing that Kit heard him but it probably made no sense to him. "Thanks...uhm I'll try I guess." Zeke said with another smile. Zeke looked at him, Kit, he really didn't know what to say. The sun had set completely night quickly enveloping the two of them. "Really Kit...thank you." For everything he thought.

He looked at Zeke, his head titled slightly to one side as he tried to decipher his words, somehow find some logic behind them, that preferably didn't include himself. He scratched the back of his head nervously, offering him kind smiles and concerned looks at all the right times. "It's really no problem," he told him, smiling nervously and looking down, "I kinda like being there for people when they need it. It's good to know I'm trusted," he said with a small shrug. "I-I know if I ever have a problem then I would be doing the same thing and..." he paused, trying to make his words sound unselfish, yet not as completely selfless as they may appear "Its good for me to know that I'm not just going to be a burden when I do," he grinned widely, though his voice shook a little. As much as he loved deep and meaningful conversations, which were a rare treat, they were still a little unnerving.

Zeke smiled happy that Kit wouldn't mind coming to him for problem. "Thanks." He said giving another sigh leaning back his mind still wandering around. He wanted so badly to say something. So badly to hint it, but he knew better, knew otherwise. Maybe he should leave it was getting late he had classes. "Uhm..." He looked sideways. "So then I'm sure you know." He said hoping Kit wouldn't say he didn't hoping he would just say he knew and leave it at that, end the conversation there.
