Antosha looked up at Diane, then at his own fluttering picture. "She didn't tell me." he croaked out, reaching up to stop her. How was he to know that she had fear of butterflies? Could he help what he saw in the scrying waters? No, he couldn't. He drew exactly what he say, all he wanted was De's help in figuring out why the water would show him that. "Please wait, let me explain." he said, standing up. Reaching across her he grabbed her arms to stop her, making it so she couldn't leave.

She carried on packing, even more furiously when he told her that it wasn't Mayu; to her that just meant that it was all his fault. When she felt his hand on her arm she stopped, frozen so still that she didn't even breath for a few seconds, before the heavy breathing returned, the rising and falling of her chest the only movement for a long moment.
She looked up at him, wishing that she could just put up a wall between them and hide away from him all of her life, blocking him from the past and ending whatever future they would have together. She finally met his eyes, fury passing straight towards him like a lightening bolt. "Whatever I did last night, I didn't deserve this." she said through stiff lips. "I didn't deserve seeing my worst nightmare in HD definition." she said through gritted teeth, trying to free herself from his grasp, though she knew he was far stronger than her.

Antosha sighed and turned her to look at him. "Listen to me? ALright? Just hear me out." he said, looking her straight in the eyes. "You did nothing, nothing happened last night. I did some scrying last night after that party, asking for the future. You see that picture? That is what the scrying glass showed me. It had nothing to do with anything you've ever done." he explained, not leaving his eyes off her face for a second.

She looked at him, feeling herself shiver all over. She was suddenly all too aware that she hadn't eaten anything all morning, and all of the sugar that she still had from last night was disappearing. She was afraid she was going to collapse, but then she was suddenly aware that if she did then Antosha would catch her. Antosha would always catch her.
Unless Brynn needed catching first.
She felt her whole body shiver, unable to look at Antosha as the information sunk in. This was real? She was going to face her worst nightmare? Her breathing became heavier as the thought sunk in, and she couldn't help but lean in closer to Antosha, partly because she was afraid of falling, but mostly because she needed him. She needed someone to hold her, to tell her that everything would be alright.

Antosha took in a quick breath as De moved closer to him, it was strange. He moved without thinking, pulling his arms all the way around her, pulling her closer to him. Even with the magic protection he could still feel her emotions, and she was scared. Why hadn't he known she was afraid of butterflies? He put his head on the top of hers, whispering into her ear; "It's alright, it'll be okay. I won't let anything happen." He repeated it over and over again, knowing he might have to stop if Brynn ever came around. With his eyes he told Mayu to leave them be, to go away.

Antosha's warmth was perfect. It was exactly as she'd wanted, but there was something else. She was suddenly reminded of Maon's description of Resonance, and how it could cause two minds to merge, how you borrowed each others strength. It felt like that right now, as she imagined a little ball of light growing between them, growing stronger as it bounced between the nonexistant space between them.
She could feel her face was wet when she pulled away but she couldn't remember crying, and she hadn't made a sound. "I'll be OK." she said, folding her arms and letting him know that if he needed to he could back away from her.

Antosha looked at her, worry written across his face. He hadn't planned on going any where, but if that's what she wanted. "Mayu left." he pointed out, motioning to the empty beach. He felt the magic struggle against the barrier, without thinking he shut it down. No one should get in trouble because of something that simple.

She looked behind herself, finding the opportunity to slyly wipe her cheeks, "Oh," she said, looking back guiltily and turning back forwards, her face now shiny in dampness. "Wow, I really feel bad." she said, holding onto her body, suddenly feeling extremely cold, even on the heat of the beach. She couldn't bare to quite look Antosha; there were so many questions that she really wanted to ask him, but couldn't get the courage to. Did the scrying always come true? Was it always so gruesome? How fast would it be? Would any of it be literal, or was it all just jumbled up metaphors? She didn't say a word, just holding onto herself and slightly swaying back and forth in time with the sea's breeze.

Antosha watched her, knowing her questions. Well he knew atleast the basics of what they would be. "No, scrying isn't always true. I'm sorry, I have no idea if it's always like that. But it's always like that for me. Most of it is metaphors I guess, you saw my drawing in the past. Most of it could be in this life or the next. Does that cover it?" he asked, shrugging to himself. Sometimes he seemed almost able to read minds, even without magic. He could just be a really good empath.

She looked up to him, blinking. Had he just used Psychics on her? It seemed impossible - there was no way that he could have breached the Magic Free Protection, and even then he knew that he would have never done it without her permission... would he? She let out a gasp of relief though, smiling shyly as she pulled her hair out of her face, saying, "So it might not even happen?" with a nervous laugh. She felt herself shaking, laughing to herself almost deliriously. Try as she might, she just couldn't stop laughing, feeling like she had just dodged a very painful bullet. The idea that in it would probably come true was blocked by her mind, and never even entered her thoughts.

Antosha nodded once, hoping to reassure her. Maybe now they could actually get to swimming, or drawing. He sheepishly reached for his sketchpad and charcoal stick. "Want to swim or let me draw you?" he asked, smiling shyly. Normally he wouldn't let people watch him draw but he felt like it would be a special day. Besides, now he didn't have to keep conguring an image of his subject.

Diane laughed, "I don't particularly want either," she said, looking down at her outfit. There was no way she could go swimming wearing such heavy, baggy cloths with nothing to change in, and she was far too self conscious to think of Antosha standing over her and drawing, taking note of every one of her imperfections. That, and she was starting to become slightly scared of his drawings.
"Which lets me just lie in the sun?" she asked, taking her bottle of water and sitting back down on her coat. She knew what the answer was, but as long as she didn't have to watch him she wouldn't feel so bad about being drawn.

Antosha smiled, leaning against the air. "I won't stand up, I'd prefer to be on the same level as you." he explain before starting his drawing. The lines were just the basic shape of Diane, but after he had corrected all lines he began to draw her cothing, the creases just so to make it appear she was moving. "So, how was your classes?" he asked casually.

He was awoken by a beeping noise that he knew as a text message. His head was only a little heavy seeing as he didn't drink very much. Brynn sat up in his bed opening his phone to see a new text from Mayu inviting him to the beach. He got up out of bed to take a quick shower. After getting out and doing his hair he threw on some comfortable shorts seeing as it would be warm, some flip-flops and a loose shirt he'd take off if he went swimming.
Brynn walked over to the beach noticing Mayu walking by herself. He ran up to her smiling. "Hey Mayu who else is here?" he asked looking up and down the beach seeing a few people he didn't know.

She looked at him narrowly. She was certain that she hadn't mentioned standing up, at least not out loud anyway. "Wait," she said, sitting fully upright in front of him, staring him in the eyes, a look of confusion on her shock, "Are you using Psychics?" she asked, hardly believing she was saying those words to him. As she said them she sounded so childish, and instantly wanted to take them back, but she needed an answer more importantly.
