Lester flushed. She seemed to upset all of a sudden.
"Whats wro-" He tried asking her, before he was waved away.
"Lets just grab a table.." He mumbled, shoving his hand in his pocket. He walked into the restruant, sitting down at an empty table. He picked up a packet of hot sause, playing with it absentmindedly.
He pulled his vibrating phone out of his pocket. 'Does this mean we're dating?' it read.
'Do you want to?' he typed back quickly, then sat it on the table. He looked over at Kit, wondering what was wrong. He seemed upset all of a sudden.
"You okay?" He asked, realizing that the night was pretty much ruined. No one was happy anymore.

Kit followed him to the table obidiently, taking a seat. He was in his own little world, hardly noticing that Les was even talking to him until he remembered that there was no one else around. "Hm?" he mumbled, looking up to him and blushing softly. "Oh, nothing," he said, smiling more than he had the last time he'd said those words.
He put his hand on his shoulder, rubbing it softly as he moved around his arm, testing the pain. "Just my shoulder's playing up again..." he muttered, knowing that he was finally able to talk about it with Shaun gone. "Not to mention my ribs..." he said quickly drawing a sharp breath through his teeth as it hit a tender spot.
He quickly moved to his pocket, checking each one in turn, "Can you tell Shaun something, I don't wanna tell her I'm hurt..." he said, still checking each pocket for his painkillers, before he slumped back in his seat.
"My painkillers are in my jacket, aren't they?" he told himself, closing his eyes. "Typical," he mumbled. [/blockquote]

Lester raised an eyebrow. Tell Shaun something?
His phone buzzed again. 'I think I do..'
'Well I do too.' He sent, putting his phone back on the table.
"Sure. What do you want to tell Shaun?" He asked, leaning back. He looked over at the waitress. She reminded him of his former friends girlfriend. A whore.
"What can I get you two today?" She asked them. She looked at Kit with a smile. Then she looked at Lester, the smile dropping a little.
"Were waiting on my girlfriend.." He said, hoping it would drive her off. She nodded, then walked off, shoving her notepad in her pocket.
'Then I guess its settled.' His phone read. He smiled, texting back quickly. 'Then get over here. I miss you, baby.' He looked over at Kit, wondering what he was thinking.
"You know, you can ask Shaun for your pills. She isnt gonna run home crying. Shed rather have fun with you than you be miserable." He told him, setting his phone on the seat beside him.

Kit leant forwards, putting his arms on the table as he sighed. "Yeah, I know..." he said slowly, looking around the place, wondering what was the worst worry for all of the people around him. He doubted anything would happen. "I'll ask her. Just... if she asks what happened to me, I fell down some stairs yeah?" he said. It was such a typical abuse cover story, he felt almost cliche for using it. "Pointy, stabby stairs..." he breathed with a slight smile.
He looked up at Les, his eyes bright and alive, looking at him with honesty as he said "She's just got a lot, and I don't want to belittle any of that. She's got her own problems, she doesn't need mine," he told him, before grabbing the menu and skimming through it, not really taking much of it in.

"Kit." He said, pulling the menu from his hand so he could have his attention. "Shes worried about you, okay? Dont think that because she has problems of her own, shes not willing to fix hers. Because she wants to help you. Shes worried. Sick. You NOT telling her whats wrong is whats hurting her, Kit."
He handed him back his menu, then picked up one of his own. He looked behind him as Shaun walked in. She smiled and waved, sliding in beside Lester. He kissed her gently, cupping her cheek in his hand before pulling away.
"You have Kits medicine." He told her, handing her a menu. He watched as she pulled it from her pocket, and slid it across the table to him.

Kit watched Les as he tried to convince him to tell Shaun, but Kit was far from convinced, grabbing the menu back as soon as he could manage it and looking through it quickly. He'd barely been able to tell himself what had happened, didn't know how on Earth he'd managed with Les, so there was no chance he could manage with Shaun - especially in such a crowded area.
He saw the painkillers slide across the table, smiling in a polite 'thank you' way to Shaun as he took a couple out of the pack and slipped them into his mouth. "Thankoo." he said quickly, smiling. So, were Shaun and Les a thing now? They seemed a sweet couple, the connection had been clear for even Kit to see. A connection he wished he had with someone, anyone. "You sort out whatever was going on?" he asked her.

Shaun smiled, a fake smile, but a smile nonetheless. She thumbed through the menu with her good hand, not really interested. How much could there be to a taco?
"Yeah. Thorn wanted to give me a pair of jeans and I said Id have to be about 10 months pregnant to fit in them. Hes twice as big as me, but still skinny. Im just short and bony, is all." She said, cursing the confusing menu.
"Ill just have whatever- mmm nachos.." She said, glancing at the back of the menu. She heard Lester laugh, then smiled.
"Dont laugh at me!" She said, tickling him.
"Bah!" She squeeled as she was tickled back. She giggled, pushing away his hand. She kissed him gently, then laid her head on his shoulder. Something felt right about this. Lester would love her, want her baby. No one else would, she knew that much.
"I want the nachos. What do you want, Kit?" She asked, smiling over at him.

Kit watched the two happily, "Uh, you guys know that if you want to do this together then I can just make scarce?" he asked, not wanting to intrude on the two now that they seemed to finally be a couple. And in all truth, it somewhat hurt him to see the closeness and connection between them, knowing that he'd never get anything that strong with Zeke OR Crys.
He wasn't particularly hungry anymore, the pain leaving a sick feeling in the back of his throat, though he knew that he had to eat with the painkillers. [/blockquote]

Shaun moved away, feeling like she was doing something wrong. "I.. Im not feeling well. I think Im gonna go home. You two have fun, okay?" She said, taking off Kits jacket and leaving it on the table before walking out of the restruant, ignoring all of Lesters protests. I always manage to mess something up.. She thought, hoping she could figure out the way home. All she could figure was Kit liked Lester, and she had done something wrong. --- Lester put his head on the table. Where had he gone wrong? "Maybe we should just go back to school.." He said, standing up and handing Kit his jacket. "Come on. Lets go find her before she leaves." He said. "We'll stop somewhere on the way back and grab something to eat."

Kit nodded quickly, already getting to his feet. The idea of going home certainly wasn't a bad one, as he could feel the sick feeling growing as the pain continued to grow worse. He nodded at Les, wishing that he could run after Shaun but knowing that running would probably not be a big help right now.
He walked quickly off, saying to Les on the way, "What could have gotten her so upset so quickly? Did we do something wrong? Was it Thorn, do you recon?" he asked, deeply concerned. No one should walk around alone in these times, even in a busy mall.

"Thorn CAN be a complete jerk sometimes." He mumbled.
Lester shrugged, running after her. He tapped her on the shoulder, wrapping his arms around her. He hugged her tightly before waiting for Kit. He smiled at him, looping an arm around Shaun as he lead them both back to the truck.
"We'll try the mall thing another day, okay?" He told them, holding Shaun close. He could tell she was tired, cold, and upset. He held her closer, trying to warm her up. He reached his other arm out to Kit, patting his shoulder as gently as he could with the cast. He smiled over at him, hoping he wasnt in too much pain. He thought they both needed rest.

Kit followed behind more slowly, wrapping his jacket in his arms as he watched Les run up ahead. He knew they would need a moment alone for a reunion anyway, and it would take a moment for him to get up to him.
Kit came to Les's side, too out of it to even realise that Les was going to give him a 'friendly' pat on his bad shoulder. The second his hand brushed against the pain-filled area, Kit jumped back, quickly gasping for breath as he instinctively tried to cover his wound. "Ah..." He looked up at the two of them, barely able to stand that Shaun knew, but he seemed to be in too much pain to realise.
He shook his head, rushing past them both but still keeping with them despite being a few feet in front of them. "Lets go back home, please," he commanded, covering the black patches that was starting to dot his grey top, cupping the wound so that he wouldn't actually touch it.

Lester picked up the now-sleeping girl and carried her to the truck. This turned out to be the worst idea he had had in a good while.
"Kit.. I really hate to ask you this.. But can she sleep with you tonight? I dont trust Ehren around her and she doesnt have her key on her. Its cool if you say no.. I can always break her window. But Id rather not have to do that.." He said, looking down at her. She was sound asleep. He knew she wouldnt be waking up for a good while.
He looked over at Kurt, then opened the door to his truck, laying her down in the back with a swift kiss to her forehead.

Kit gritted his teeth in pain, climbing into the car without even a second thought, not even bothering with the seatbelt. It would probably hurt more to put it on and off than it was worth. "Fine, fine..." he said. He would have been willing to agree to anything just to have the chance to get back to his place, back where he could lie down and rest - he didn't know how being at home would help him deal with his pain, but it was just one more thing he felt was standing between him and peace. He would have agreed to it even without the pain, though.
He took in a deep breath as he rested his head against the cold glass. It was calming, helping him realise his senses. "Really, it'll be fine, though I don't think I'll be able to sleep on the floor tonight and there's only one bed... but as long as she doesn't mind, I'll make it as comfy as possible," he told him, pressing his forehead against the cold.

Lester nodded. He was sure she wouldnt mind.
"Just make sure when she wakes up, to tell her that nothing happened and shes just there because I asked if she could stay." He said, starting the engine. He heard her moan quietly, and looked back at her, but found her to still be asleep.
He pulled out of the parking lot, finding it a little hard to see in the now-dark. He yawned, leaning back against his seat.
"Where you wanna grab some food from?" He asked, pulling a CD from his console and putting it in the CD player. He turned it down low, realizing it was a completely inappropriate Hinder CD. He smiled a bit to himself, glad something was there to distract him.
