Abigail was simply amazed by the rides, the lights, and ultimately the snow! She loved snow, but where she came from, snow came few and far between. And when it did come, it was simply enough to make a Barbie-sized snowball.
She couldnt quite decide what she wanted to do first. She'd only been to the fair once, and it was not much fun. With few rides and no food, it hardly qualified to be called a fair.
With earbuds in her ears, she made her way to the Cotton Candy stand and ordered herself a pink-and-blue sugary treat. She ate it slowly, enjoying the way it melted in her mouth. Obvlious to what was going on, she wandered around, lost in her own world.

She looked up at all of the candy treats, feeling like she had slipped and fallen into heaven. She looked at them all, each one having their own precious childhood memory, stepping back as she let others choose before her. "Um...." she said, and walked forwards, asking for some Flying Saucers. The man handed them to her, and she began to eat away at the sugary goodness, submerged in memories.
She walked forwards, looking around herself as she looked up at the ferris wheel. It was massive, probably the tallest of the rides in the fair, and she had to step back a couple of steps to see the top. However, as she stepped back she bumped into the small girl. Turning around quickly, a flury of apologies escaped from her mouth, "Oh frick, I'm so sorry, are you alright?"

Abigail looked up at the person. She blushed and pulled an earbud out of her ear.
"I-Im sorry.. I didnt hear you.." She stammered. She looked at the dropped cotton candy and shrugged. She didnt need it anyways. Made her hyper..
She shifted akwardly from one foot to the other.

She looked down to the cotton candy which she'd accidentally caused the girl to drop. "Aw... damn, I'll buy you some more," she promised, walking towards the candy cart, "Flying Saucer?" she asked, holding out the packet of sugary goodness towards the stranger. It wasn't a complete help, but she was going to pay her back for the cotton candy.

Abigail shook her head and laughed.
"No, really. Dont worry about it! I really dont need it. Last time I ate it, the cops were involved and.. Well anyways, I really dont need it."
She smiled and turned off her iPod, trying to be polite. If she kept listening to her music and talking to the lady, chances were, shed start singing. And certainly that would be something the people at the fair wouldnt want to hear.

She laughed and shook her head, walking closer up to the girl. She was starting to like her already. "Not even an ickle flying saucer?" she asked, picking one up and floating it around like it was a UFO, before popping it into her mouth. "Oh, and don't believe the lies; stranger's candy tastes awesome." she joked. Yes, she was starting to get hyper, not that she would admit to it.

Abigail laughed as she watched the lady play with her food. Her step mother would beat Abigail on the head if she saw her do something like that.
"Im Abigail. And thanks, but no. Im gonna go grab me a coke. Want one?" she offered, smiling at her.

She turned away from her food, and said, "Sure, sure, at least let you buy the coke then," she said, once more starting to slowly go back to the candy store. "One sugary substance for another?" she suggested, shrugging. "You want a plain one or diet?"

Abigail smiled, noticing how cute the girl was. She blushed.
"Uhm.. Regular." she said, looking down at her iPod and distracting herself by finding a song. She stood where she was, waiting for the girl to come back. She shifted from one foot to the other and shook the snow out of her hair with her hand.

"Awesome," she said, a jump in her step as she skipped off, asking the man for a regular coke and a cherry coke. When he told her they didn't sell cherry coke, she was a little disappointed, but got a 7up instead.
She came back, a little more calm this time so she didn't fizz up the cans, as she passed the coke to Abigail. "I'm Diane, by the way," she said, opening up the can as she suddenly realised how rude it must have seemed to not give her name when the girl had.

Abigail popped the tab on her coke, keeping her head down. She ran her finger across the rim of the coke. Her foot tapped out the beat of the music as she only listened to it half heartedly.
Akward silences never failed to be, well, akward..

She smiled. To her, the silence wasn't intimidating or awkward, but surprisingly relaxed. "So are you in FMS?" she asked, wondering why she hadn't seen her around before. She would have thought that's she recognise her...

Abigail nodded. "Yeah.. Im.. uhm.. new.." she said, keeping her head down. She chewed on her snakebite, almost unaware that she was doing it. She ran her hand through her hair, the snowflakes dropping from her hair and falling slowly to the ground.

She smiled, suddenly curious, "New?" she asked, taking another sip of her drink. It wasn't as good as cherry coke, but it would do, "How are you finding it? I imagine it would be a really big shock..." she said slowly, wondering if she would be overstepping if she asked to sit down. Why did she care so much about being careful around her? She was confused, but tried not to let it show.

Abigail shrugged. "Well.. I dont much like it.. I dont know anyone, Im constantly getting lost and picked on, and its really confusing.." She mumbled. She sipped at her coke. She never much liked it. She only drank it for the caffiene.
